Laid-back Highschooler In Bleach (With Soul Cube)

"What is the point of being strong if you cannot even be lazy?" Kai Kurogami never had any aspirations to be a hero. He was content living his life in peaceful obscurity, avoiding any and all trouble that might come his way. But after the Soul Cube merged with his body, he found himself with incredible power at his fingertips - power that he could use to protect those he cared about. Of course, that didn't mean he was suddenly going to become a hero overnight. Kai still had his priorities straight: avoid trouble, stay under the radar, and find the easiest way out of any situation. And with his new abilities, that was easier than ever. As he absorbed the souls of the fallen warriors from the Thousand Year Blood War, Kai found himself gaining incredible powers and abilities. But he was careful to keep his head down and avoid drawing too much attention to himself. He might have been a powerful warrior now, but that didn't mean he wanted to be bothered by all the other powerful warriors out there. Along the way, Kai found himself building a harem of powerful women who were drawn to his carefree attitude and devil-may-care approach to life. But even with all that power at his fingertips, Kai never lost sight of his true goal: finding the path of least resistance and staying as lazy as possible. So if you're looking for a hero with a sense of purpose, look elsewhere. But if you want a warrior who will do anything to avoid a fight, Kai Kurogami is your man. Just don't expect him to save the world anytime soon. **I am currently writing three novels simultaneously - One Piece with Bodily Refinement Bead, Bleach with Soul Cube, and Naruto with Divine Purple Card. Stop Messing With My Peace, Bastards!

Orihime and Tatsuki excitedly pulled Kai towards the bulletin board where the list of Freshmen First Semester Final Exam Top Scorers was displayed. Chizuru tagged along, a curious expression on her face. After Kai had casually offered her a place in his harem, she had asked for some time to think it over. Observing the happiness that both Orihime and Tatsuki shared with Kai, she had begun to find the idea more appealing.

As they reached the board, Tatsuki pointed out Orihime's name, which was in the 3rd place. "Wow, Orihime! You did amazing!" she congratulated her friend with a wide grin.

Orihime blushed modestly and smiled, hugging Kai's arm. "Thank you, Tatsuki. I couldn't have done it without Kai's help."

Michiru, who had joined the group, raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Since when did Orihime become so smart?" she asked, genuinely impressed.

Tatsuki chuckled and playfully nudged her friend. "You'd be surprised, Michiru. Orihime can really buckle down and study hard when she puts her mind to it."

The group then turned their attention to their own scores, each of them ranking within the top 20. However, Kai's score was noticeably lower, barely making the cut.

Orihime looked at him with a slight pout, her brow furrowing in concern. "Kai, are you scoring poorly on purpose again? If you are, I'll be really upset!"

Chizuru raised an eyebrow, her interest piqued. "What do you mean, Orihime? Why would he do that?"

Tatsuki sighed, crossing her arms as she explained. "Kai doesn't like to stand out, so he usually scores just average on purpose."

Kai gave an awkward chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't want to draw too much attention to myself, you know?"

Orihime frowned, placing her hands on her hips. "But Kai, you're so smart! You should be proud of your abilities and let yourself shine."

Tatsuki nodded in agreement. "Yeah, Kai. You shouldn't have to hide who you are. We're all proud of you, so you should be proud of yourself too."

Kai looked at the three girls, their expressions filled with concern and encouragement. He felt a warmth spread through his chest, and he couldn't help but smile at their support.

"Alright, alright," he conceded, holding his hands up in surrender. "I promise I'll try harder next time and not hold back on my exams."

Orihime's face lit up with a bright smile, and she hugged Kai tightly. "That's the spirit, Kai! We believe in you!"

Chizuru, who had been watching the exchange with interest, finally spoke up. "Well, if you're all so happy together, I don't see why I can't join in on the fun."

She stepped closer to Kai, her eyes meeting his with a hint of mischief. "I've thought about your offer, Kai. I've decided to accept your invitation to join your, ahem, harem."

Tatsuki and Orihime exchanged amused glances, welcoming Chizuru with warm smiles. Kai smirked, extending his arm for Chizuru to hold.

"Welcome aboard, Chizuru," he said with a teasing grin. "I'm sure we'll all have a great time together."

Michiru's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the group, her mouth hanging open. "Eh? EHHH?" she exclaimed, pointing at the four of them. "You all date Kai? No wonder he's been happier lately. But it's understandable, he is the most handsome guy in the school."

Kai, amused by Michiru's reaction, took a moment to appreciate her appearance. She had short, light brown hair with her bangs pulled back in a clip, revealing her delicate features. Her large, expressive eyes were a warm shade of brown, and her lips curved into a natural, friendly smile. Michiru wore the standard Karakura High School uniform, which suited her petite frame well.

Deciding to tease her a bit, Kai approached Michiru, a playful smile on his lips. He leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "If you want, Michiru, I have one more spot open in my harem."

Michiru's face turned a deep shade of red, and she stammered, trying to form a coherent response. "Wh-what? I, um, I don't know what to say…"

Orihime giggled, putting a reassuring hand on Michiru's shoulder. "Don't worry, Michiru. Kai's just teasing you. But we're all good friends, and we'd be happy to have you join us."

Tatsuki grinned, nodding in agreement. "Yeah, we're like a big, happy family. You're welcome to be a part of it.'"

Chizuru smirked, joining in on the teasing. "Well, Kai might have been joking, but I can't deny that he's quite charming. So, what do you say, Michiru?"

Michiru's face remained flushed, but she managed to regain her composure. She looked at the group, taking in the warm, friendly atmosphere they shared. After a moment of consideration, she smiled shyly.

"Can I hang out with you guys to see how you interact, and then decide?" Michiru asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

Kai smiled warmly, his eyes filled with understanding. "Of course, Michiru. Take your time to decide. We'd be happy to have you join us, no matter what capacity you choose."

With that settled, the group left the school building together, excited to spend time with one another. They decided to head to a nearby lake to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.

As they chatted and laughed together, their bond strengthened, making it clear that they all genuinely cared for one another. Michiru couldn't help but feel drawn to the warmth and camaraderie of the group. She found herself laughing and smiling more than she had in a long time, and it felt wonderful.

However, just as they were about to leave the school grounds, Kai suddenly stopped in his tracks. His face paled, and he looked around with a sense of urgency.

"What's wrong, Kai?" Orihime asked, her voice filled with concern.

Kai didn't respond right away, his eyes scanning the area as if searching for something. Finally, he spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "I felt a strange beacon appear in the air. I don't know what it is, but it feels ominous."

The group exchanged worried glances, unsure of what to make of Kai's revelation. However, before they could discuss it further, they heard a series of screams echo through the city.

"Hollows!" Kai exclaimed, his eyes widening in alarm.

Michiru and Chizuru looked at each other, confusion evident on their faces. "What are Hollows?" Chizuru asked, her eyes filled with worry.

Kai realized that the two girls didn't have the spiritual power necessary to see or hear Hollows. Without hesitation, he touched their foreheads, sending a wisp of his soul power into them to awaken their dormant abilities. He had done the same for Orihime and Tatsuki in the past, which allowed them to hear the screams and sense the presence of Hollows.

As the soul power coursed through them, Michiru and Chizuru gasped, their eyes widening as they finally heard the desperate cries and felt the oppressive presence of the Hollows.
