National Tournament Finals

As time flew by, their coach, Kōzō Shirogane, continued to train them to the best of his abilities. Thanks to the system's rewards, the team saw rapid improvement in their abilities.

On an abandoned beach, five young men could be seen doing squats in the water. "Coach, can't we take a break?" Mochizuki complained, panting and struggling to continue.

"Shut it, Mochizuki. If you have the energy to complain, use it to finish your set," snapped Ishida.

"You guys should take a break; you've worked hard," their coach stated.

Hearing this, they came out of the water and flopped down, panting heavily.

"Yo Haizaki, have you found anyone else to join the team?" asked Narumi.

"Yes, there's this guy named Shigehiro Ogiwara. He has the potential to become as strong as the Uncrowned Kings by the time he reaches high school with enough training," replied Haizaki.

"If that's the case, when will you recruit him?" asked the coach.

"I'll invite him after the national tournament," Haizaki replied.

"Hey guys, let's go get something to eat before we watch the tournament," said Kobayashi.

At a small restaurant, the basketball players were chatting about the tournament.

"There is no doubt about it; the team that will win is the Teikō basketball team," Kobayashi said.

"Indeed, those guys are monsters," Narumi muttered, with everyone nodding in agreement.

"Hey Haizaki, how are we gonna defeat a team of prodigies like the Generation of Miracles?" inquired Ishida.

"We won't," Haizaki stated.

"What?!" the others exclaimed, shock evident on their faces.

Before they could react further, Haizaki began to explain, "That's because if they are the same as I last saw them, they will no doubt be joining different high schools so that they can compete against each other."

After calming down, they headed toward the stadium to watch the final match of the tournament.

"Who will Teikō be playing against?" asked Narumi.

"Meiko Junior High. Their lineup is good this year, but unfortunately, they have to face Teikō," replied Mochizuki.

As they reached the stadium, they witnessed what could only be described as a one-sided beatdown.

"111:11," muttered Haizaki.

"Damn, these guys are crazy strong," gulped Kobayashi in fright.

"Heh heh, don't tell me you're getting cold feet on me now, Kobayashi," Haizaki said.

"Hmph, of course not," Kobayashi replied with false confidence.

"Good, because we will get our revenge for the humiliation they caused us," Ishida said with determination.

"Well, that's the end of it. I'll be leaving," said Haizaki as he got up.
