Power Beyond Imaginable

Teiko Middle School versus Obasa Middle School, It was the first game of the basketball season.

Referee: "Everyone bow, let's have a fair game with no rough play. Both centers ready?" The centers nodded, and game began with the tip-off won by Teiko. N received the ball as the point.

N: *Humming*

Nijimura: "Oh crap, N's humming that means he's getting serious. This is going to be a fun game."

*Boom*

Obasa PG: "Wha-what's that loud noise? (More importantly why can't I see the ball?!

*Boom* So fast, how did he pass me?! Wait, it can't be that the loud noise was the ball being dribbled, is that even possible?!)

N: "There's more if you want to watch." The ball was then slammed into the hoop over the center. No one could even move a muscle. At that critical moment a massive door was flung wide open where a throne of gold and black was unseated at the center of the room. It radiated a beautiful bright white aura, and it had immeasurable intensity, the throne of N.

With three seconds on the clock, with Teiko doing an inbound, N received the ball with a double team on him.

N: "Ha, you guys couldn't stop me the entire game. How can you expect to stop me now when I still haven't gone all out yet. Looks like you guys need to receive Heaven's help. Pray if it makes you feel better, but Heaven is on my side weaklings."

Obasa PG gritted: "Cocky bastard!! We'll stop you!"

N: "I thought I said Heaven is on my side." As he released the Heaven shot.

Obasa PG: "What shot is this?! I can't reach a first year's jump shot, impossible!" Heaven is a remarkably difficult shot to make, and it's virtually unstoppable without the necessary jumping power due to the fadeaway and height of release. At the buzzer the score was 150-30, Teiko. N had 100 points, 12 rebounds, 10 steals, 15 assists, and 10 blocks. The stat line was stacked with a historical quintuple-double. The game went viral, and everyone was talking about N's performance.

Teiko Middle School was ecstatic about N's performance, and he was receiving praise from all the kids. His popularity skyrocketed to being famous in the school.

N said: "Ah I played too hard Nijimura." As he held several note cards and gifts of chocolate from girls. "I didn't intend to be swarmed by girls everywhere."

Nijimura: "You bastard, who doesn't want to be you right now? You're already considered the best player in middle school." From that point on, Teiko went to go undefeated because N had struck fear into everyone.

Meanwhile, the Uncrowned Kings crushed their opposition.

The sports magazine included Shoei, Teiko, Royasta, Bokuadon, and Fukagi as the top schools to win the national championship.

Writer A: "We need something more. How about a separate page for each of their aces?"

Writer B: "Okay, do you like this?" He presented an article draft of the five aces. "Kiyoshi Teppi, The Iron Heart; Kotaro Hayama, The Lightning Beast; Ekichi Nebuya, The Herculean; and Mibuchi Reo, The Night Demon. Together they can be known as The Great Kings."

Writer A: "What about Kuroko N? According to The Great Kings, N trained them to play basketball."

Writer B: "I figured you'd ask me that. Kuroko can be called The Lord of Kings to signify that The Great Kings are under him in talent and skill. Let's take it to our boss."

Boss: "Perfect, get the copies rolling and send them out as the final draft."

[Teiko Middle School Next Day]

Nijimura: "Hey N! Did you see the latest sports magazine?! You're on the front page along with your friends! They're called The Great Kings! Do you know what you're called, N?!

N: "Enlighten me, if you will."

Njijmura responded with such loudness that everyone else heard.

Nijimura: "The Lord of Kings!!" With those words, tons of people swarmed towards N hearing that he's proclaimed The Lord of Kings. The school was not much better as hordes of girls asked N to eat lunch together. N tried his best to flash a winning smile, but he really wanted to kill Nijimura. Nijimura had been spreading the news everywhere in school. There was not a soul in Teiko who didn't know of Kuroko N. The best middle school basketball player. Out of the corner of his eye, N could see Nijimura laughing at his predicament.

N: "(Damn you, Shuzo! Wait until I get you in my hands baka Shuzo!!)"

Girl: "Kuroko-kun, are you alright? Why is there a vein popping in your forehead?"

N smiled: "Ah don't worry, I was just thinking hard about someone, and please excuse me ladies, I have somewhere I need to be, thank you." He quickly left to enter the first year home room as bell rang to begin social studies class.

Lunch was uneventful rather it seemed like there were more girls around N during lunch. N quickly made an excuse by going to the bathroom.

N: "Thank god, school's over.. now I can go to basketball practice." The court was filled with sound of the ball bumping the floor as players dashed and slashed. "(This is what I live for. The beautiful sound of a basketball hitting the court floor is breathtaking. Nationals will be here shortly. It's time to punch our ticket.)"

???: "Ready for the Preliminaries Kuroko?"

N turned to look and saw Coach Shirogane approaching.

N: "Of course coach, my goal is nationals nothing less."

Coach Shirogane: "Good, I'll let you run the offense, but I won't tolerate losing. I want you to crush the opposition. "Ever-Victorious" remember that Kuroko." Coach walked away to talk to the rest of the team, and to let them know the game plan. Nijimura walked over to N curious about N's assignment in the Prelims.

Nijimura: "N, what did coach say?"

N yawned responding with: "Ah, well I have to crush our enemies in the Prelims to build up Teiko's reputation for Nationals. Basically make the opposition fear us on the court."
