Shuli's Thoughts

Red pointed at Young Master Lu and asked the holy child. "He looks seriously injured. Do you have any elixir to heal him?" She nodded and immediately went to Master Lu and gave him an elixir from her storage ring. On having it, Master Lu suddenly burst with a huge bout of energy and visibly healed.

Red walked towards Shuli, and he kept frowning. "Why aren't you healing? You look like you are about to die." Shuli smiled. "He was worried about my heavy injuries and gave me a couple of his elixirs."

When Red heard that he had a weird look on his face as he saw the now much better Master Lu arrive next to Shuli with infinite worry on his face.

"Did you feed her elixirs?" Red asked. Master Lu nodded. "I did feed her two of my elixirs, they even the very best I had for emergencies. I don't understand why she isn't healing!" He said, looking desperate.

The more Red heard this, the weirder he felt. He looked at Shuli and shook her head. "We'll talk about this later." He said to her before putting his hand on her stomach.

Master Lu got shocked. "What are you doing?" He screamed. Red got annoyed. "Can you shut up for a moment?" Stunned, Master Lu became quiet as he watched.

Red revolved the Profound Asura Scripture and diverted his domineering qi into Shuli's body, slowly passing through her bloodstream and clearing out any medicinal remains in her body. After five minutes, he took his hand away.

Suddenly Shuli's eyes bulged and vomited a lot of black blood. Red quietly rubbed her back. "Good, get it all out." Before he shook his head again. Master Lu as well as the holy child were both confused.

Red then took out a weird looking ball from his storage ring that looked like it was made of some herbs. He fed it to Shuli. "Here, take this, it'll make you feel better."

When Shuli saw that item in Red's hand she was shocked. She stuttered as she coughed. "Where did you get this?" Red smiled. "Old Beggar." Shuli nodded and consumed that weird ball.

The moment she ate it, a huge boundless energy revolved around her and she began visibly healing and suddenly her power increased and she broke through to Core Formation realm. As she broke through realms, her internal injuries completely healed and she looked normal again.

She looked at Red and said one word. "Thanks'" However, what greeted her was a flick on her forehead, and it wasn't a light one either. "Why did you do that?" She grumbled, but she already knew why.

"Why did you eat the elixir? Did you lose your mind?" Red lectured her. Shuli's voice suddenly became small. "I didn't have a choice." Red flicked her forehead again. "You could've just told him the truth."

Master Lu was confused. "Truth, what truth? Was she sick because of the Elixirs? But they are the best ones from the Radiant Sect!"

Red shook his head. "She didn't fall sick because of the Elixirs, but she must've already been terribly injured and when you fed her the Elixirs they essentially became poison inside her bloodstream and inhibited her ability to recover completely. As for why she can't have elixirs...she should explain it herself."

Master Lu looked at Shuli with a heavy amount of guilt. "Why didn't you tell me you can't have elixirs?"

Shuli didn't know what to say. Master Lu had almost given his life for her, she didn't feel right misleading him. She looked at Red instead. Red was dumbfounded, why was she constantly dragging him into her misunderstandings with this guy?

"If I tell Master Lu I will compromise your credibility in the alliance amd you know what will happen if you are associated with me." Shuli told Red.

When Red heard that he was shocked. It suddenly dawned on him why she was willing to die rather than reveal the truth and was actually both touched and angry. "You... don't be stupid. Do you think I'm so self serving? If I asked you to join me ofcourse I am willing to do so publicly! Do I look like someone who cares about what some stupid alliance thinks?" Saying so, Red hugged Shuli and gave her a big pat in the back. "Stop acting to selflessly all the time. If you can make sacrifices for me, do you think I won't?"

Then he turned to Master Lu. "Okay, you two sort your issues out. I will look for a good spot to camp for the evening."

Master Lu looked back at Shuli and silently pleaded to understand. He couldn't take the guilt that he had almost caused her to lose her life. The holy child also looked on curiously, for she could see that Master Lu seemed to have feelings for this woman.

Shuli sighed. Then she turned off her disguise art and suddenly became an Asura with a mask. When Master Lu and the holy child saw that, both were equally shocked.

"The reason I cannot consume Elixirs, is because they are made for humans. I... am an Asura." Then Shuli transformed back into her human appearance. Master Lu who was dumbfounded, looked at her stunned, shocked and speechless.

After a minute of silence he asked the first question on his mind. "Then that young man... is an Asura too?" This was also the question on the holy child's mind.

"Of course not. He is a human." Shuli replied.

Master Lu was stunned. He now understood what Shuli meant by saying that the young man would be brandished a traitor in the alliance. But then, he remembered a random fact that he had heard from the gossip circles. One that he had brushed off as rubbish earlier. And he was suddenly struck by lightning.

"Are you perhaps... Princess Shuli?" Master Lu asked, his words had suddenly grown quiet, because he knew what that meant. Shuli did not reply, but simply nodded.

Then Master Lu put two and two together. Princess Shuli was roaming with a powerful mysterious young man. She had been banished for actually falling in love with a human. Which meant only one thing.

"Then that man is...?" Master Lu murmured to no one in particular, but he suddenly gained a firmness that the holy child had never seen in him before.

"It doesn't matter to me whether you are an Asura or a human. My feelings continue to remain true." Master Lu said.

Shuli however shook her head. "I'm sorry. I do not have that kind of feeling towards you."

Master Lu already knew that he would receive this response. He nodded with determination. "I know. I just want you to know that you secret will remain safe with me."
