Chapter 25 : Ally or Enemy

I'm struggling to get up while watching that green haired girl with her unique eyes, I wish I could have them too, at least I have one that actually is special in a way.

"Well hum... I'm not a godess, I'm definitely not one. My name is Ellen, what about you ?"

"Glad to make your acquaintance Ellen. I can't trust you yet, call me Qyps." the catgirl is giving her hand to help me get up and I do thanks to her.

What a weird name to give yourself...

"Thank you Qyps, are you here to save the world ? Because I heard rumors of witches wanting to collect souls."

"Really ? I'm here because I lost to one of them. I tried to prevent them from doing anything."

Wait a minute... what if the reason I can't find Karen anywhere is because she has potentially been kidnapped and she traded her soul to become rich ! I'm still interested in that story, after all, the witches can wait, I don't care if the nobles dies, as long as Plutaria lives... She gets up and jumps away on her paws on many roofs, I follow her in my fox form until she stops herself from going further and gives me a good look and I ask her a question before we go inside the castle where she intends to go.

"I'm from the Blue Kingdom, we tried to befriend with Delfesia for so long. But they used us, cursed my parents and many others with the onis. I'm not blaming the witches, only one of them. And your number of tails... I can't say yet."

"Don't do that ! War is bad !"

"You should just help me, you are with the demon lord right ? Then we have a serious advantage on that war."

"Who is your ruler ? Did they send you here ?"

"It took me months to realize everything he wanted was immortality. We had spies infiltrating this country."

I go back to my human form and walk towards the king of this gigantic castle that is next to the sky, he doesn't do anything and watch me.

I stop myself once I'm close enough to get a better look at this person.

"Will you accept to answer my questions ?"

"As long as you answer mine first. Who are you really ? Do you intend to stop me ? Am I a boy or a girl ? A man or a woman ? A human or a monster ?" he furiously laugh in a feminine voice.

"I'm Ellen a 15 years old kitsune, also called the World Reaper. I will if I can, you are both. Is it what they call sharing soul ? Human or monster, definitely a monster from my perspective. Sacrificing people, your people lives to become immortal, isn't that pathetic that you need them ?"

"I see, you're the bitch of the demon king. No, you are different from her... As a god I can tell it without a doubt, you are the girl from the lost prophecy." he stands up and pick his crown with his left foot.

I gaze at him and something terrible happens, my stomach is growling for some nice food.

That king, she laughs at me and humiliate me even farther by turning around and farting while sitting on my face, before I can even say a word that person change appearance and become a fully grown woman I see all blurry...

"This is the real you Ellen. Lucky woman, you have 600 more years to live before you die to the Calamity."

"Calamity ? Did you invent it self proclaimed god ?"

"From above, I can admire the insects working for me, spending their life worshipping me and sacrificing themselves, their friends and families to increase my lifespan."

"Answer my questions !" I shout.

"This is really deplorable that such an elegant lady lost all her memories. Don't worry, the Calamity cannot be stopped, it's your fate."

"You like talking that much ?"

"It's quite a pleasure to put words on my feelings, with someone else than ourself." he replies looking at himself in the mirror I cannot see the reflect on.

I concentrate all my might on focusing that guy, that self proclaimed god doesn't deny being one.

"Why do I hate boys ? You could ask your ally."

I turn my back and look at Qylphis, I mean Zephy.

"Zephy, tell me."

"They... they hate boys because... Because they are !" stutters Zephy in pain and flying just a little above the ground.

"Wrong ! We hate boys because their lifespan can't be used for sacrifices, well they still have a use."

"What do you mean asshole ? And if that's really my appearance don't take it any longer !"

"Garbage goes to garbage." he says, changing into his previous form. "Just like the demon lord, let me finish him off right the instant he enters the room."

The instant he says that, my eye is glowing red, I'm crying tears of blood and someone made his appearance, it's the imposing and scary demon lord in all his glory, he is here to end things with the fake god and my master is getting instantly smashed into pieces within a transparent orange box. He is dying that easily and all his blood splash unto me and Zephy who only had time to see it.

The moment my master dies, I feel empty, my body is slowly falling and reaching the stairs while my eyes lights are turning off as I cease to live and my soul gets devored by a monster...

The instant after, I'm back to when he is still alive, the moment my master just appeared, thanks to my eye I'm still alive and him too, I act as fast as possible and push away the ruler.

"Let my master live !"

"Then I'll take Zephy first."

"If you do that, you'll die."

"I'm fine with that, since an immortal like me cannot die. Needless to say, I'm invincible and you are about to witness the monster I became because of you, Sanaë-san !"

I instantly react to his eyes going for Zephy and shuffle blue fire on him that he manages to dodge, my master is not trapped in the orange box and manages to burn the feet of our enemy with black flames, the boy takes put his crown on himself and run away, jumping on cubes he creates and removes as he goes while me and my master try to follow him.

"Master ! Where were you !?"

"It's no time for this. Protect that Zephy, I will handle that fake god myself."

"And huh... once you're down with him, could I have answers to my questions."

"Go away."

I do what he says as he gently pushes me to Zephy's side as he fight against an enemy worth of himself, I guess he isn't invincible and can be trapped easily against them but I'm no match.

"Zephy ! Help me find a weakness to that ruler !"

"He is invincible, he can create anything from nothing. And she can become invisible when she is in command."

"Really annoying ! Then why did you say my master would be an advantage for us !?"

"His brother is known to be friend with the Ruler, as long as they speak long enough they will find a common interest and stop fighting. With some luck, he might even become vulnerable."

I'm losing confidence, what if the demon with white hat happened to be my master's brother ? Just to be sure I'll ask her anything she knows about that said brother of the demon lord.

She walks in the direction of the two fighting and stops herself when reaching the corner of that place, many cubes appears close to them while at the same time, the sky is burning in darkness above them and my master is also walking in the dark flames, they are standing up but reversed ! Argh it's too hard for my brain to explain ! They are like on the ground but on the sky and they stop fighting... They remove all their magic with their hands movements and even seem to agree to a compromise.

I'm shocked and disturbed by what is happening in front of my very eyes and I'm pushed by Zephy with her power making it even more powerfun when I try to not fall in what seems like an endless fall to my death... I can't close my eyes because of how frightened I am as I watch myself to my own death, seeing the red flag, will I die or...
