Kirigakure Academy

After washing himself in the river, Takeshi quickly descended from the mountain range to reach the Academy grounds. Unlike Konoha, the academy was similar to a military campus. Though movements were not monitored, the students had duties to attend and courses to complete, and the consequences of being late or worse still, missing, were very dire.

Once, he had fallen unconscious after overusing chakra and ended up mopping the floors of the whole training grounds, which took him a week to complete. He had gotten a nice vitality point in bonus from the hardwork, so the back pain had some worth to it.

"TAKESHI", the academy teacher shouted

Takeshi instantly stood up, his silver hair and red eyes having a striking resemblance to the young Tobirama Senju. Calmly answering "PRESENT", the teacher nodded and allowed him to sit.

Continuing with the list, the academy teacher started to shout the names of every student in the class. Although he looked very intimidating, he was merely a chunin with only one eye left, the other being patched, earning him the nickname of [Pirate Gecko].

[Gecko - Lv. 38 Chunin]

Though chunins were canon fodders in the grand scheme of things, it was still a level that was unbelievably far from his current realm of strength.

His classmates were mostly disappointing in terms of level and stats, making the contrast between them and a full-fledged shinobi quite clear. Although they gave him some trouble at first as his body predecessor was a weakling, his training and strength quickly allowed him to match them and even surpass them, earning a reputation and assuring himself with a top 3 spot in the class.

[Hoshi - Lv. 8 Academy Student]

[Ana - Lv. 6 Academy Student]

[Tuhi - Lv. 7 Academy Student]

Most had levels between 5 for the weakest and 10 for the strongest, making Takeshi truly an outlier in this class.

However, he was not the only one.

[Arya Yuki - Lv. 15 Academy Student]

[Biwa Funato - Lv. 22 Academy Student]

These were individuals he had never heard from the series, or maybe he had forgotten them. However, their surname was deeply engraved in his memories. The former, the Yuki clan, was very well known for its Ice Release, one of the most broken bloodline limit for the shinobi, combining the defensive power of the regular suiton jutsu, but being just as lethal as the other more offensive elements in addition to providing a freezing ailment.

The latter, from the Funato clan, was a bloodthirsty swordsman. His clan was born out of piracy and created the highest amount of Kenjutsu experts over the years. Similar to the Hyuga, there were no Kage-level powerhouses emerging from this clan over the past few generations, yet they consistantly produced reliable chunins and jonins, causing their status in the village to be quite high despite their plundering habits.

Biwa was a genius Kenjutsu and taijutu expert, and many were saying that he was walking on the footsteps of Kisame, a shinobi that many considered to be the next in line to become one of the seven legendary swordsmen of the mist.

As for the rest, they were weak considering that a bloody event would be imposed to them.

In the bloody mist, becoming a genin meant stepping on the corpses of your comrades. Most people in the class would not survive the rite of passage, an arena where they would be evaluated on their cold bloodedness and ability to kill.
