Chapter 75, part 1

On Carter's ship

The ship's crew and the doctor were crammed into the small kitchen area.

Except for the Captain, Alma and Tobias were also absent. Alma was sleeping peacefully in her bed, and the doctor had advised Tobias to stay lying down.

The room was illuminated by a lamp placed in the center of the table.

Four men were sitting around the table, and the rest of them were standing, leaning either on the cupboards or the wall.

Ian had rested his shoulder on the door frame that remained open. He had put his hands in his trouser's pockets and had crossed his legs at the height of his ankles. His eyes were fixed on the floor in a distant stare.

They were all with their heads down and their lips pursed.
