I looked at him dumbfounded. I was expecting everything but that; to marry me! When he told me he wanted to tell me something, it never crossed my mind that it would be that.

The more I realized it, the louder my heart started beating.

Yes, I wanted to marry him. Carter was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I always choose him and only him.

I put my hand on the part of my heart that felt it that was beating like crazy.

"R-really? You mean that?" I asked.

He hugged me tightly, burying me in his arms, and kissed me tenderly on the forehead.

"Of course I mean it. But you didn't answer me. Will you marry me?"

I giggled. "Of course, I will marry you. I have never wanted anything more in my life." I replied, and he smiled with this disarming smile that every time makes my heart lose its rhythm.
