Chapter 41

I folded the piece of paper and kept it safe in my bosom. Then I went to Jimena's room to leave the basket with the laundry.

The door was open; I looked inside and saw that Jimena was already there tiding some clothes.

Before I could knock on the door, she told me to go in.

"Close the door, please. I want to tell you something and I don't want anybody to listen to us."

Did she want to tell me something? Ouch! It will definitely be related to the stain on the sheet. The instinct told me, and I was sure my heart started pounding, and I felt my cheeks burning.

I left the basket on the floor and closed the door.

"What do you want to tell me?" I asked, and my voice trembled a little bit.

She looked at me, and in her eyes, I saw no accusation, only understanding, and kindness. A faint smile was etched on her lips.
