Chapter 39

"I love you too," I replied, hugging him from the waist. A sweet stinging of pain was left down there to confirm that everything I had lived with him was a reality and not a dream.

He planted a soft kiss on my lips. "Now I have to get you out of here without being seen," he told me. "I'm going to unlock the door and check what's going on outside. You stay here and I will notify you. Okay?"

"Okay." I replied.

My heart was pounding, and my handfuls were sweating with anxiety, but in the end, the captain managed to smuggle me out without anyone seeing us. The truth was that this whole hide and seek game was not my thing, but it was my choice not to tell anybody about my and captain's affair.

That meant that I had to suffer all the consequences of my decision. And one of them was hiding.
