Chapter 34

His words sent a hot wave all over my body, warming my frozen heart. I wished it were true and not just words that the blowing icy wind would carry away, and tomorrow would forget them.

"Do you hear me talking to you?" he spoke to me sternly.

"Yes. I hear you." I replied in a weak voice.

"Hold on." he told me and started pulling me up. "I'm not going to let you leave me, especially now that I know."

He kept pulling me, and the sea began to recede beneath my feet.

Turning the wheel to the right, Tobias resulted in the ship being battered from the opposite side, facilitating the Captain's work.

"Come, give me your other hand, Serena." It was Lucas who came to help and extended his hand to me.

I gave him my hand, and now they both pulled me together quickly and lifted me to the deck. I didn't believe that I was stepping on solid ground again.

My head was spinning, and my vision blurred.
