Chapter 31

  "Yes, Captain," the men replied.

"You can go now, and as soon as Ian returns to the boat you know what to do. Tell Ian to go to the helm and I will come soon," he told them.

"Okay, Captain," they replied, and the cabin began to empty.

The Captain didn't say anything to me, and I remained in my seat. Or did I have to leave too? I didn't know.

I didn't like being in such an awkward position at all.

They had all left, and the Captain hadn't yet told me anything. I got up from my seat and looked at him. "Should I leave too, Captain?" I asked him.

He raised his eyebrows, meaning 'no.' His gaze shone as he looked at me.

"Remember when I told you we would talk later?" he asked me.

  "Now you mention it, I remember it," I replied.

"What I want to say I would prefer to hear it Lady too and it would be better to wait until she gets better. Basically, it would be better both of you get better. You have had a hard time."
