When we talk about portals to other worlds or other dimensions, the existence of parallel worlds with which these doors will connect those who pass through them is assumed. And these would not only exist today, since some sites of past civilizations are referred to as gates to other worlds. Although for some agnostics they are fanciful ideas and for others they would be realities that our current knowledge cannot understand.
