"Someone's coming out!" From the top of the fortress wall, an officer shouted as he watched the number of undead within the fog wall drastically diminish. "Hold all fire. They are human, not undead."
In the gray fog, a great ball of golden flame could be seen moving forward. Wraiths, ghosts, within the Undead Gray Mist, rushed at the flame like moths darting into fire. Then, they screamed and dissipated into wisps of eerie blue smoke.
"Phew." Kaslana, who was also situated on the city wall, sighed in relief when she saw the familiar energy emanating from the golden flame. If Muria didn't appear soon, she had planned to inform her grandfather and go in after him herself.
"They've finally arrived! Open the defense barrier and let my companion in." Without looking back, Kaslana issued the command to the human commander beside her, displaying the typical haughty attitude of the Golden Dragon towards humans they deemed unimpressive.
