Chapter 21: A bit of luck but mostly misfortune

There were hundred of millions of spirit stones everywhere. They were all just piled up. Scattered everywhere like trash. They all formed mountains that were as big as Mount Tai of his previous life or even bigger! Spirit stones are the currency in this world. They are divided into 3 levels. Low quality spirit stone, middle quality spirit stone, and high quality spirit stones. One middle quality spirit stone is equivalent to that of ten thousand low quality spirit stones and 1 high quality spirit stone is equivalent to that of ten thousand middle quality spirit stones.

Low quality spirit stones were quite common. Middle quality spirit stones were uncommon but those wealthy cultivators still had them. However, high quality spirit stones were enjoyed by only those cultivators that were more richer than the rich. High quality spirit stones are sought for. They can change the lives of their owners. For the good or for the worse. High quality spirit stones can make people become crazy because of the greed that might overtake their minds by just knowing of the existence of such a precious treasure. Spirit stones are used as currency, yes. But they are also used as tools for cultivation. They possess the Qi that cultivators, except for Wang Tian, use to advance their cultivation. That's what makes them priceless.

Wang Tian looked around and also saw that there were countless weapons like swords, hammers, daggers, sabers and many more. Wang Tian tried to move them or take them out of the storage ring but he couldn't. They all possessed a very powerful aura that made Wang Tian feel pressure. Clearly, his cultivation base was not even near the minimum requirement for him to be able to wield such powerful weapons. Wang Tian sighed again but then he realized that weapons aren't the only things that are in here. There were countless books! Cultivation manuals! Techniques! Powerful techniques! Millions of techniques! He searched inside his brain and finally came to a decision. Tang Jixian was a peerless expert and a peerless expert always has a defining move. He wanted to find that move and train in it. As the successor of Tang Jixian, he decided to continue his legacy and make the world shake once more by the sight of this technique!

After countless hours of searching and almost nearly exhausting his Dark Qi, Wang Tian finally found the manual. The manual was colored black and the materials it was made from gave off a very frightening charm.

"Void Creation Manual" Wang Tian said as he grasps the book in his hands.

Wang Tian read the manual very thoroughly. The Void Creation Manual states that after one cultivates this manual, they would be able to use the power of the void. Make it their own! Use the power of the void and create objects. Weapons, cages, and even a bed if you wanted to.

Unfortunately for him, the minimum requirement to cultivate this technique was to reach a stage called, "Chaos Realm".

"Chaos realm? What's tha--" Wang Tian tried to find information about it in his brain but he suddenly felt a sharp pain inside his brain. Wang Tian cried out in pain. 'What the hell is happening? This has happened twice now. The first was when I tried to find information about that Dao Realm and now this.' Wang Tian felt gloomy. Although he couldn't be killed by physical attacks, mental attacks or any attacks at all. He could still clearly feel the pain that the attack deals.

Wang Tian thought about it for a moment and then he finally came up with a realization. 'Is the sharp pain being triggered when I search for more information about stuff I shouldn't?' Wang Tian wanted to test it. Thus, he again tried to find information about the Chaos Realm.

The sharp pain that he felt assaulted him again. His eyes shined but his face was still gloomy. 'I can't use the weapons, and I can't even use the manuals that Senior Tang Jixian has! What is the use of me being his successor if I can't even utilize for myself his belongings?!' Wang Tian angrily thought. He was really frustrated. First was the gift of that dragon, the bottle filled with blood and the dragon crystals. He couldn't use them both! Now this!

What was more unfortunate was that Wang Tian discovered that his predecessor threw out ot gave away all of the low leveled weapons and cultivation manuals that he used or had when he was still alive except for the spirit stones. He only left Wang Tian with these high leveled treasures and infinite experience and knowledge. But due to Wang Tian's very low cultivation base, he can't access the knowledge that Senior Tang Jixian left for him regarding cultivation realms.

Wang Tian wanted to cry but no tears fell from his eyes. He can only resign and sigh in regret. However, Wang Tian's luck wasn't all that bad. When Wang Tian was looking for the manual that Tang Jixian cultivated, he noticed that there were books, millions of books regarding,

"Alchemy"

When Wang Tian saw this word, it set a chain reaction inside his brain. Although the information regarding cultivation realms were locked, the boundless information regarding Alchemy wasn't!

"Alchemy is when you turn plants, objects and other materials into pills which can assist you in breaking through, in recovery, in eliminating poison, in enhancing your strength by a bit and even in killing"

"Alchemists are divided into different ranks."

"Alchemy apprentice, when one is starting off in alchemy, they can call themselves as an alchemy apprentice."

"Alchemy master, after one is able to pass a test by an alchemy sect, they can become an alchemy master. Supposedly, the test is all about refining pills and their basic knowledge towards alchemy."

"Alchemy grandmaster, Alchemy Lord, Alchemy King, Alchemy Emperor and finally the Alchemy God in the legends..."

"Alchemy masters are able to refine Level 1 pills. Alchemy Grandmasters are able to refine Level 2 and 3 pills. Alchemy Lords are able to refine Level 4 and 5 pills. Alchemy Kings, level 6 and 7, Alchemy Emperors, level 8 and some are able to refine level 9. Alchemy Gods... Well, they are supposedly nonexistent. However, there are myths regarding Alchemy Gods that I have found inside my brain because of the legacy given by Senior Tang. Alchemy Gods, are existences that... That can easily refine a level 10 pill... It is said that Alchemy Gods might not be powerful in terms of Martial Power but they can easily persuade experts to do their bidding for them." Wang Tian gasped in shock by the information. But he quickly calmed himself. He thought to himself that if he's gonna react this way every time his knowledge expands, then he might as well bang his head on a wall.

"Senior Tang Jixian was an Alchemy King. A revered alchemy king that could refine a level 7 pill. Senior Tang Jixian supposedly had the talent to become an Alchemy emperor but he loved the martial dao more than the pill dao." Wang Tian was excited by this point.

"So does that mean... That the informations passed down to me by Senior Tang regarding alchemy is that of an Alchemy King?!" Wang Tian felt delighted.

Back in his past life, Wang Tian was very interested in how medicine was made. He always searched on his laptop or phone on how to make medicine. Wang Tian wanted to be a doctor that could cure illnesses that weren't easily cured. Like the illness that he had. Lung Cancer. But he wasn't given the chance to do so.

His eyes shone and he said to himself,

"Is this the heaven's way of telling me that they're sorry for taking my life when I was just 20 years old?"

'If I could become an Alchemist King like Senior Tang...' Wang Tian daydreamed. But then he remembered what his Father told him.

"Power is Law"

'Without sufficient power, I won't be able to protect myself. Even if I could order experts to do my bidding, that would still be utilizing external forces." Wang Tian contemplated.

"In the end, it all comes down to myself" Wang Tian continued.

Wang Tian quickly calmed himself down.

He looked around hoping to see if there were more storage rings or treasures hidden in this place. He searched his brains but his face became gloomy again.

"There are 1,2,3,4,5 and a hundred more storage rings..." Wang Tian pointed towards a few empty spaces. "But I can't open them. It seems that it has something to do with cultivating that Void Creation Technique."

He sighed and then decides to come out of the room after thinking about it. He figured that he could always come back since this place is now technically his property.

Wang Tian opened the door and went outside.

The dragon looked at Wang Tian and his eyes shined brightly.

'His aura is similar to that of master. Does this mean that it's a success?' the dragon thought to itself.

"Little D" Wang Tian called out towards the dragon with a smile. The dragon roared and was shocked. "Little D" was a nickname given to him by his master. Only his master knew it and called him by that nickname. 'It really seems that he's successful in obtaining master's legacy'

"Young master" the dragon said and bowed to Wang Tian. Even if the dragon was of a race that were very arrogant, he still has to bow towards the successor of his master.

Wang Tian couldn't help but smile when he saw this.

"Hey brat! You succeeded? Quickly let me out! If you do, then I'll consider taking you in as my disciple!" Liu Hao said with happily. It was as if he was talking to a fool. 'Hmp! This little brat really succeeded? I'll accept his brat as my disciple and then after we leave this place, I'll suck the legacy out of him and steal all of the treasures on his body.' Liu Hao thought to himself evilly.

Wang Tian was a bit surprised by what Liu Hao said. 'Is this guy making me laugh? Why would I even need a master when I already have the experience and knowledge of Senior Tang? And there's this thing about that mysterious figure who gave me a new life. I'm supposed to be his successor... Furthermore, if i were to acknowledge a master, then it wouldn't be someone as pathetic as this guy.'

'Judging from the experience and knowledge that I gained from Senior Tang, this Liu Hao is coveting the legacy and is planning to trick me into being his disciple.' Wang Tian was able to quickly analyze the situation based on the knowledge and experience Tang Jixiu gave him.

"What?! Are you serious?? Are you really going to take me as your disciple?" Wang Tian's face was that of immense shock. His acting was really good!

Liu Hao laughed at this scene and then said, "of course, of course! Anything for you my child!" Liu Hao acted all pretentiously.

"Then future-master... Forgive this junior for being greedy but don't you have any gifts for me since I'm going to be your disciple?" Wang Tian shamelessly said.

Liu Hao's eyebrows twitched and then he waved his hand. In an instant, a dagger that was at least a high grade sky weapon appeared. It had a magical appearance. Its edges were very sharp and the handles exuded a very frightening presence. He flicked it towards Wang Tian.

Wang Tian received it and then he examined the dagger. He felt happy inside. This dagger was a high grade false immortal weapon.

Weapons were divided into

Mortal - low, mid, and high grade.

Earth - low, mid, and high grade.

Sky - low, mid, and high grade.

Then there were two more levels which where identified as

False immortal and True immortal weapons. They are both divided into low, mid and high grade.

Although a high grade sky weapon is not much compared to the latter two, they were still very powerful and only those powerful cultivators possessed such weapons. Many times, they're hidden deeply underground some sects since they're considered as their sacred treasure.

Now, a weapon of such high caliber was given to Wang Tian. How could he not be excited? He did not try to hide it nor did he intend to. Liu Hao only scoffed at this scene. How was a high grade sky weapon costly to him? He had thousands of other high grade sky weapons. In fact, he had so many that it was a common sight inside his bag of holding. He even had numerable false immortal weapons and a few true immortal weapons. He looked at Wang Tian in disdain.
