"So you're saying that this young girl can and have cured your sickness." Mom says looking at Stephanie.

We are currently at breakfast with us is mom, Charlotte and my. Everyone mood changes hearing my statement.

"Yes, she has the power to absorb magic." I say to them while ignoring Stephanie who is eating like a beast.

"Are you sure she hasn't bewitched you with magic?" If I was so easily bewitched by magic I would have been killed multiple times already.

"No, it's hard to explain but we both descended from a long line of powerful heroes that both have abilities to counteract each other." I still need to do more research in this area but I'm sure she isn't a threat for now.

"Alright then, I believe you but what about your father?" He's grandfather 2.0 but unlike grandfather who can and will relent, he won't.

"That will be a problem I will deal with when it comes." Mom sighs then get up and say directly to Stephanie.

"Come with me I need to make you at least presentable also Will I'm well aware of the second one. Your father is also definitely aware of that as well." Nothing goes past the Ice Merchant not even fuck buddies.

"I will make preparation then." I say about to leave but I'm stopped by my mother.

"Doctor Wells is her she will be gone in a week so visit her and tell her the good news." Teacher.

I nod to her and then head towards one of the most important person to me. She has long since been made Grand healer since she healed Emperor Julius Ceasar XVII son but she still travels. Probably looking for my cure.

Walking through the familiar halls I'm washed over a distant memory. It was a moment when the once-loyal Wells family almost started a rebellion. Fortunately, grandfather put an end to it before it could be a thought.

"You have grown, in both size and maturity." Teacher says to me closing her book. Then despite being the second son of her family lord house I bowed to her. Why? Simple I'm only an Arch healer while she's attained something I will never achieve.

"Congratulations on being a Grand Healer, my teacher is truly the greatest of all time." I say to her and she smiles then gets up and come towards me.

"I never wanted the title, to see the vast Rom Empire library I had to pull that card. Rise you bowing is weird." She says helping to get me off the ground.

In that brief moment, we locked eyes and at that moment I can see a burning passion that fades away quickly.

"I heard you got not one but two sex mates, my sex life is pretty much done for. The only persons who ask for now are young doctors who want my technique or my recommendation and old rich men wanting to show off." She's now thirty-six, long past the age most men deemed marriageable. In my eyes she's still the most beautiful woman in the world, our teacher-student relationship will just have to stay that.

"One of them can cure my illness and the other is someone I fancy." She turns around to me and gives me the same look mother gave me today.

"Are you sure she didn't lie to you? You might be the second son but you are a member of a Duke family." Teacher, I've never seen her this angry she's even squeezing my shoulders violently.

"Yes, I've confirmed it with my own eyes. Your magic perception isn't that strong but you can feel my magic isn't wild and uncontrolled anymore." She stops squeezing my shoulders then focus on my magic she then smiles.

"The goal I've trying to fulfil has been completed, years of cursing magic only to have my brightest student be cursed by magic. The same happened to my teacher don't follow our path, magic and science should coexist." She hands over a book to me covered in worn-out leather.

"My teacher diary, he recorded all he knew about healing magic before committing suicide. I will eventually hand over mine but I feel I've yet to learn everything about science." She pat my head then sits down smiling.

"Teacher I need a favour from or rather multiple." She looks up towards me and smiles.

"Hopefully I can do it before heading to the Holy City-States."
