"All right.." he answered back and immediately hung up.
"Why did you take a one-month leave?" He curiously inquired, as he leaned back on the seat massaging the space in between his eyebrows.
"Am I not supposed to take a leave? It is not a must I work there I can also resign. " She spoke out as a matter of fact.
She had several obligations and leaving the army would be beneficial for her.
He turned around to look at her as he lightly frowned, but shook his doubts away before closing his eyes.
Ten minutes later they arrived at the Civil Registrar Bureau Office and registered their Military marriage.
After registering their marriage, the chauffeur drove them back to Lai Jicheng's home. They arrived at Beverly Hills community at around 9 pm.
She was exhausted and wanted to have some time to comprehend her situation. They alighted and she glanced at the tall majestic mansion.
She turned around and gazed at him, "I have things to do." She got her car keys and got into her Jeep before driving away.
Lai Jicheng lightly frowned as he got into the house and walked straight to his study room.
He found his guard there waiting for him, "Master.." Lai Jicheng nodded his head as he opened the door leading into his study room.
"Did you find her?" Tagging behind him he lightly inquired.
He was a tall man and had a built-up heavy body with a little tanned skin, his eyes were sharp and intimidating.
He was wearing black cargo pants and a shirt as it was their secret guards' uniform, and he had a low shave.
"Yeah I did, you can look through the other files before you go." He settled down on his study office desk and began working on the pending files.
Xie Lin and Xie Tsu sat down in the dining room as the maids served them some food.
Their Elder brother, mother, and father walked in joining them.
"Father, Mother, Elder brother.." they gently called greeting them.
Xie Tang's eyes roamed around surveying the entire place and he couldn't see Xie Mo, being a concerned Elder brother he lightly inquired, "Where is your sister?"
"She carried her suitcase and drove away." Xie Tsu responded she was the daughter of the second wife.
The entire room went silent as everyone concentrated on eating and went to their rooms to rest.
She drove down the rough road and finally drove through the tarmacked road into the forest.
This forest was situated in Rose Hills village and since it was further away from Rose Hills City Centre no one took an interest in the forest.
After an hour's drive, she finally arrived at her secret Camp and she drove past the gate and parked it in her private parking lot.
The entire Camp was developed into four levels, Laboratories on the left side, huge halls on the right side, and there were huge buildings on both the North and South sides leaving the middle as an open space with beautiful gardens full of flowers and well-gardened.
She alighted as she slammed the car door shut, she strode down to the Southern side and got into her office on level 1 she wore a human mask before settling down on her office chair.
"Knock, knock, knock."
"Come in.." the human mask was attached with a voice changer and it easily covered her real voice.
"Lady Marshall.." The girl who was around 18 years old lightly bowed without gazing into her eyes.
" Yes Zhou Xie, what can I do for you?" She inquired as she opened the files that were piling up on her desk, she needed to clear at least fifty percent.
"We have a situation, Experiment X has defected, it's no longer alive." Her shaking voice reported still her head bowed, she was of a slim physique wearing a white lab overcoat.
"Humph! Tell me, Zhou Xie, how could my experiment die just like that? What did you do?" She jerked up questioning coldly, she pushed her chair back roughly with the back of her legs.
The entire office temperature plummeted and suddenly turned cold and frozen as the temperatures went lower and lower.
"Uhh..uhh.. no answer? Or you guys forgot to watch over it, is that it?" Her voice was harsh, she walked across her desk and approached the young girl who was shivering and feeling cold.
Her heavy thudding footsteps were like sharp claws that gnashed at her heart and it constricted in pain.
Xie Mo clutched her neck tightly, and stared at her pale face, "go call everyone who was on duty!" She roughly tossed her away.
Everyone already knew and was accustomed to her cruel tactics, if they tried escaping, they died one by one after being caught and brought back to the camp.
