"Is this our new Marauder?" Nyx shakes her head, causing Cassius to raise an eyebrow. "Did Vanora hire him?"

"Not technically," Nyx says slowly, and you take note that she only does that when she's trying to stress her T's more. "I want you to vouch for him wid me."

Cassius begins to say something, then stops, peering at you and then back at Nyx. He does this a few more times before resting that gaze of his upon you.

"Did you race?" You nod. "What place did you come in?"

"Last," you murmur, and he sends a heated gaze Nyx's way.

"You want me to vouch for someone who came in fifth place!?" Cassius bursts out, and then appears to mentally slap himself, turning to you. "My apology, I meant no offense to you."

She nods. "So, you will vouch?"

"No."

"Hear me out, Cass," she begins, but he shakes his head.

"You're not about to get me killed by Vanora." Nyx grabs him and pulls him away from you. You watch them intently, Nyx explaining her reasoning, though even you are curious about her reasons. Cassius seems to be listening but looks like he has a lot to say as well.
