Chapter 1: Eindgard

The kingdom of Xander in Earth realm, a young boy wakes up in the woods, covered in blood and a large sword wound that cut across his torso, almost splitting him in half. As soon as he opens his eyes, the wound on him begins to heal like it never existed, even the scars are gone.

"What? Impossible! This cannot be! I performed all the rituals nigh perfectly, where did I do wrong?" He stands up and observes himself. He is clothed in expensive garments, a sign that he is either from a wealthy merchant household or a noble one.

"But this body, this body is too weak! I cannot even unleash up to one percent of my power lest I risk destroying this body." He says out loud. "However, this could be a splendid opportunity. I can restart my growth in this new body and utilize all my past mistakes to create the perfect body and soul."

Suddenly, a swarm of information flows into his head. Had he been a normal human, he would have fainted from the overload of information. He was, however the reincarnation of the gods layer, Kaos. His mental faculties were not comparable to an average human's.

"Hmm... so this human's name was Eindgard. A prince, no less. Or, at least, he was one, until his rival siblings assassinated him and dumped his body in the woods. It's not like I care either way who rules this kingdom, but I at least need to have a hobby as I grow stronger. Alright, it's decided, I'll get revenge for the original owner of this body."

"Perhaps even using his prestige would aid my growth tremendously."

In his past, Kaos was born a plebeian - someone who was considered worse off than even the worst sinners, because the color of their hair and eyes were red. His parents abandoned him and no one ever showed him mercy. It was not until he saw the might of a red wyvern one fateful day that he discovered what he wanted to use his measly life for.

He decided then and there, amidst the ashes of the village he had once inhabited, that he would grow stronger, he would become the strongest there was, and he stayed true to his goal. He struggled and strove harder, purely by his own strength, and the help of a friend he made in his early days, Zeus.

Zeus was also someone born with red hair and red eyes. They found each other in their childhood, and watched each other's backs across a terrifying number of tribulations, even until after Zeus claimed the title of god of lightning, after defeating the last god of lightning. They remained closer than ever even then, until the prophecy from the Graeae, legendary triplet oracle that predicted all major changes in history with pinpoint accuracy.

Now, Kaos had to slowly get accustomed to his new vessel, cultivating it to the pinnacle once again before he could get his revenge.

Kaos - no, Eindgard sifted through his memories, remembering that there was a small town close by.

"I'll need to lay low for a while if I want to achieve any substantial progress in this new hobby of mine. However, perhaps I can start my cultivation right now." Eindgard walked to a large nearby tree. "Let's see what this body can do."

He lifted his right hand, pointing it at the tree trunk, and clenched his fist in one swift move. Half the tree trunk exploded, but immediately he spat out blood.

"Cough cough. I should've expected this, it seems my sense for danger dulled with my supreme power. To think they would even cripple his meridians. Humans, such vicious creatures." Using the half destroyed tree trunk as temporary cover from any beasts, he sat inside the tree in a lotus position and began to inspect the condition of his body." This is terrible, the meridians are completely destroyed. No human can even live I this condition, the pain would be overwhelming and they would go mad. Luckily, this is nothing compared to what I had to go through then."

"Although, this is also an opportunity. I guess it is true that opportunity and danger comes hand in hand. I will have to heal the meridians, but I can also use this chance to reconstruct them. This body was originally a useless piece of junk with no talent for cultivation, but that is about to change. It seems I will have to use that."

Sifting through his memories as Kaos, he remembers the cultivation method he had once found in a certain ruins, though he could not practice it since the requirements were too harsh and he was far too advanced to go back and start from scratch. But now, this was an opportunity. He could remake his meridians to completely meet the requirements.

In this world, there are three realms. The realm of the divine, the Aether; the realm of the living, the Earth; and the realm of the dead, the Nether. One common thing in all three realms is that strength is required to survive, so people cultivate themselves to become stronger. From cultivating one's raw strength, to one's skills as a swordsman or an archer, even to cultivating magic as a mage. The law of the jungle was absolute, and the weak were trampled upon.

Kaos had lived for thousands of years before he was sealed away in Tartarus, and even longer afterwards, so he had seen all kinds of things. In general, the two most powerful paths to take would be bodily strength and magic power. Raw strength was naturally the strongest, though it was hardest to cultivate. The stronger you got, the harder the challenges you would need to cultivate your body. Eventually, you would run out of things that you can use to temper your body and would need natural disasters, and soon after even those would be useless, so most people assume that the path of body cultivation has a cap.

Magic was the most pursued field, though without talent for it, you basically had a cap as well. The better your talent, the stronger you could get and the faster you could get stronger.

There were three main energies Mages could use from the three realms, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. There was divinity for beings in the Aether, mana for beings on Earth, and demonic essence for beings in the Nether. A single being can naturally only weild one such power, or at least that was how the general knowledge went. The cultivation method Kaos had found was a culmination of all known energies in the three realms to create a new, supreme energy. The only problems were that the cultivator would have to suffer worse than imaginable pain just to meet one of the requirements for cultivating it, along with the fact that they would have had to traverse the three realms to get a feel for the energies existing there.

They would have to expand their meridians to sizes five times larger than normal, and that would demand immense concentration and a need to bear unimaginable pain. Luckily, Kaos had already fulfilled the second condition so the first was the only condition that needed to be met.

When cultivating magic, mages normally needed somewhere to store mana, and their heart was the most logical solution. However, Kaos had also come across another cultivation method that could help one store magic everywhere in the body, causing the cultivator to be boundlessly more powerful than others on the same level as he.

With the combination of these two cultivation methods, Eindgard was sure he could rise to the top quicker than any other person.

He quickly sat in a lotus position and concentrated deeply, looking at all the mana that surrounded his heart. To cultivate all three energies, they had to mix in a ratio of 1:1:1. One could not be more than the other, which meant he had to disperse his cultivation and start from scratch. But that did not deter him. In a beat, mana was expelled from his body in waves, slowly causing his cultivation level to drop until he became an ordinary human once again, vulnerable even to the cold.

To become strong, Eindgard had decided to go the hard way, just like last time. He would overcome challenges, just to meet with his best friend that had betrayed him, look him in the eyes and destroy him. The journey of Kaos, rather Eindgard had begun.
