At a cafe in Piazza del Duomo a popular place in Catania where Kahlan lived she could be seen sitting alone looking out through the window. She has been waiting for Leo for three hours, tried calling but his phone was turned off. She looked at the old watched on her hand and got anxious, she had less than an hour to go where she worked part time at a bar. She took a deep breath planning leave, almost immediately she heard a bell like sound from the door of the cafe indicating that someone just walked in. She immediately turned around to look and froze, Leo could be seen dressed in white from head to toe as always, dressed in Armani white shirt and pants and then an overcoat with spotless shoes, he looked pure and elegant his attractive always intelligent eyes seemed to be searching for someone and then his eyes met hers, smiling he walked towards her. He had such a clean aura and was so otherworldly that he looked like a god who the affairs of this world had nothing to do with. The people in the restaurant couldn't help looking at the fine man especially the ladies that couldn't help but fantasize having such a man.

After walking up to her, he raised his hand revealing his carefully trimmed nails flicking Kahlan's forehead. "did you wait too long" his gentle deep voice sounded tickling her heart. The dazed Kahlan immediately came back to her sense with tinted cheeks her voice was thin as that of a mosquito "no I didn't" looking down at what she was wearing, she felt so inferior. Leo went to the other seat, sitting opposite Kahlan. "Have you eaten? let's order something" Kahlan immediately waved her hands, "no no I already had breakfast I'm fine" Leo looked at her with smiling eyes "okay then, if you say so" Kahlan released a breath of relief in her heart, she knew she was lieing. She rushed here without eating anything and had been sitting anxiously waiting for Leo so she forgot she hadn't eaten anything yet but she didn't want to appear hungry to Leo. "How have you been?" Leo asked looking straight into her eyes, she immediately looked down at her fingers playing with it, her heart was filled with warmth "I have been good"

"what would you like to have sir" a voice drew the attention of the two people sitting at the table, interrupting their conversation. A waitress with voluptuous body was standing right beside them wearing a smile, it could be seen as how her uniform clung to her body revealing her cleavage and hugging her large breasts. Her little face looked seductive at the same time bewitching. Her eyes was on Leo as she gently asked him ignoring Kahlan... Leo's eyes looked indifferent but his face was still smiling "one latte and iced coffee please thank you" turning his attention back to Kahlan he asked "iced coffee right?" "yes! it's alright" Kahlan said with a wide smile on her face but inside she knew she couldn't take iced coffee, her great aunt visited her today and her cramps used to be quite painful because of poor nutrition. She already had a cold shower this morning, she hadn't eaten anything yet and was about to take iced coffee...but she couldn't say anything! why? because Leo ordered it.

"Anything else sir, we have snacks and side dishes you can use to enjoy your coffee" the waitress's voice sounded again "That would be all for now" "okay sir" The lady was annoyed, she has never seduced a man and he didn't fall for it, she turned to look at Kahlan despising her with just one glance because she was dressed ordinarily. She walked front and then pretended to fall landing straight on Leo's lap.
