"Cousin I know you like Kahlan" Mia said looking into the young man's eyes. The man's face immediately revealed shock, without thinking he said "how do you know" his eyes revealed shock and when he saw Mia staring straight back at him...he immediately withdrew his gaze looking at his hands. How did the naughty girl find out, he thought he had hidden his emotions well. Mia laughed hitting the bed and toppling over it "cousin you don't have to be shy, it's only an idiot that will not know of your feelings for Kahlan. it's very obvious everyone at work knows" "what?! everyone! shit" the young man's attractive eyes had many complex emotions...what if they told Kahlan, she would then avoid him. what should he do. He put his head in-between his thighs in his sitting position mumbling and grabbing his hair. Mia could not help breaking into another bout of laughter reverberating around the room. She really wanted to pinch her cousin's cheeks, he was so cute and innocent. It's only Kahlan that doesn't know of his feelings for her because she's occupied thinking of that worm Leo. She immediately stopped laughing thinking about this, she frowned saying "Compared to Leo, I prefer you being Kahlan's man" He raised his head turning to look at Mia "Marcello since you like her so much, why don't I help you win her heart. You keep hiding your feelings for her, it won't change anything" Marcello smiled bitterly "I'm okay just being her friend, I can't force love on her. I know Kahlan she will run away" Mia's pretty face was dark like the bottom of a pot "argh! you two are unbelievable!" She doesn't understand if you like somebody, go ahead and Chase her. There's no need for all of this "You don't understand, Kahlan is very cautious and disciplined. She's not like the other women I have met" Mia was speechless, how will you know when you have not tried slapping Marcello's thighs she exclaimed in a not so fluent Italia "L'amore domina senza regole! "but...but I don't want to lose her" stammered Marcello his deep voice laced with sadness "I'm afraid Mia" "alright then, I won't bother you anymore but remember tomorrow might be too late" standing up she walked out of the room. Marcello sat at the corner of his bed frowning. it's not that he didn't want to go after her but he felt he had nothing to offer. He gave up the thought of pursuing her after seeing how wealthy and powerful Leo's family is. He doesn't want Kahlan to suffer...his eyes turned red, he looked around the room and sighed. He didn't have the right to pursue such a gem.
