Dumb people exam

Leo's eyes narrowed almost immediately. He had forgotten Kahlan's past because he had gotten so used to her naive appearance.

The fire of desire in his heart he has been nursing lately for Kahlan was immediately extinguished. What naive?

She was just acting naive!

He didn't even have the urge to take her in as his mistress anymore.

Maya had 'accidentally' showed him the lewd pictures of Kahlan and that beggarly looking man.

He almost barfed in disdain on remembering the scenes in those pictures.

How could he have forgotten so soon. That little actress had successfully deceived him. He snorted, silently hating Kahlan in his heart.

What high moral standing was his subordinate talking about?

"Leo?" Maya waited patiently for Leo to say something but didn't get a response making her call out urgently.

Leo was dragged off from his thoughts at the sound of Maya calling him. He gently said.

"I'm here May, don't worry. Rest assured i will not be touching her"

Leo's assurance made her release the breath she was holding. Leo was hers! She couldn't share him with anyone!

Unfortunately, she had no idea she was sharing him with almost every woman.

After Leo's reassurance, Maya was more relaxed. After saying sweet nothings to each other with Leo nagging her to take her medications on time, they ended the call.

"Where will you take me to? Will you take me to your boss?" Luca was now inside Sparrow's car, he spoke in fluent Italia. His voice laced with curiosity.

Sparrow said nothing, matching down on the throttle and speeding away.

He could only feel how stupid Luca was, he was so stupid...he felt he will pass the dumb people exam in flying colors.

Instead Luca relaxed comfortably on the car seat at the back, looking around the car.

He knew this man was taciturn and didn't freak out because of his silence. All his body was in pain and he needed nothing more than a nice warm meal.

As he thought about the reason behind his current situation his eyes filled with hate.

Kahlan! Mia! Even his wife, they all should just wait. He will come back to collect the scores.

If it wasn't this man saving him earlier he would have been beaten to death by the angry mob.

He couldn't help but flinch on remembering how they tossed him around hitting him with all kinds of things.

Immediately seeing this man walking up to him at that time, he jumped at the opportunity, grabbing his leg and howling for him to save him.

He knew who he was, he was the underling of that white clothed man that ordered him to toss Kahlan out of his house, offering him such a huge amount of money for an easy job.

He didn't know if the man was in enmity with Kahlan or not but he seemed powerful and this underling of his looked like a high level martial artist.

He didn't know how that little brat called Kahlan had offended such a big fish but he and Kahlan were now enemies which meant he and this powerful boss were allies now.

He was overjoyed at the thought of making Kahlan and everyone who had made him fall from grace suffer a fate worse than death.

He was very sure this boss was powerful, if not more powerful than his wife.

This underling had appeared just in time to save him. They must have heard news about him and his boss ordered him to come save him, right?

This boss was his savior and he owed him his life.

Luca! Oh Luca!

He was not entirely wrong, Leo did hear news of his situation and ordered Sparrow to come take him but not to give him a warm meal, nice clothes and help him clean up...

But to send him to into the arms of his ancestors!

Sparrow had no idea on what was going on in Luca's head, if he knew, he would have died from laughter.

He pulled up at a corner in a junkyard after driving for a long time, he got out of the car and opened the door for Luca. Spitting out coldly,

"Get out!"

Luca was already leaning on the car door dozing off. The sudden force from the car door opening made him lose balance, jolting awake.

They had driven for a long time, he didn't know when he fell asleep.

He rubbed his eyes, looking around.

Noticing where they were, he was confused. "Why are we here?" he asked staring into the eyes of Sparrow.

Raising a brow, Sparrow turned around walking off. "Follow me" he said.

Sparrow thought this Luca was more stupid the more he spent time with him, he always revealed a More stupid side each time.

He dared to sleep off comfortably, humph! He will make me sleep more peacefully...he wouldn't need to wake up anymore.
