A Desperate Waitress

Kahlan's eyes immediately cooled, she had been watching the waitress she purposely staged her fall. "Are you okay?" Leo said holding her tiny waist letting her continue sitting on his lap. The waitress secretly smiled throwing a provocative glance at Kahlan she whispered seductively "I'm fine sir" Leo immediately lost interest, he found the waitress boring and gently pushed her out of his lap. He loved playing the game of the cat chasing the mouse, it was even more interesting than just getting it freely. The waitress that was suddenly pushed away was confused, what did she do wrong? she thought everything was going perfectly and falling in place. why did she suddenly get rejected? Kahlan was boiling with rage, this waitress was really gutsy! how dare she?! "Leo are you alright? did you get hurt" Kahlan decided to ignore the waitress, she didn't want to stoop low fighting with her. It was clear she wasn't brought up well, the waitress was embarrassed and angry, hummph! she was going to show this poor b*tch who is higher, she walked away. "I'm fine Kay" Leo had already returned to his gentleman's demeanor putting a slight smile on his face. Silence fell between the both of them and Kahlan was struggling to find a topic "Did you travel" "How is Mia" they both said together, realizing what they had done they both laughed. Leo was the first to speak up "Yes I traveled, for a family business" "oh! was it successful?" Leo laughed looking into her eyes, that one action caused Kahlan to forget herself. Leo was really a Lady's man, he knew how to make a woman fall deeper for him. "of course it was, don't you trust my capability" he said teasing her. Kahlan was shocked, she didn't mean it that way "no, I didn't mean it that way. you are the best" she exclaimed seriously. Leo froze and then continued "relax Kay, I was just teasing you" " Oh okay" Kahlan said laughing too, she felt like she was really stupid. "I asked you a question earlier Kay"

"what question?" Kahlan was lost and then seemed to remember something "Oh yes Mia... she is fine, she asked a lot about you when you were away" "Here is your coffee sir and ma" this time it was a waiter that offered the coffee and immediately left. Cunning flashed across Leo's eyes as he bowed his head to take a sip from his coffee...the steam rising to his face "really?" he said, his eyes filled with intelligence. He was really interested in that little lady, she was one of the few women that dared to ignore his charms, he planned on teaching her a lesson once he finally gets her, he was really confident in his charms. He was also worried she might upset his purpose of getting close to Kahlan in the first place.
