Prologue

"U-uh, guys?" Ravenpaw stuttered. Slowly, the cats around him started to disappear. They were just fading like a SpiritClan or an Exiled cat who died for the final time. He saw his best friend, Icepaw, as she faded to nothingness. As if she were fading into the clouds, just far enough out of his reach that Ravenpaw couldn't swipe at them with his paws. But Icepaw could. Now, at least, above the peak of the cave.

"Icepaw!" He shrieked. He saw his mother, father, and his brother. "Crowpaw no!" He and his littermate had the closest bond than any other cat in GhostClan.

Cats were disappearing until Ravenpaw realized he was the only one left.

'What? Why am I not disappearing?'

"Because you were chosen."

"W-who's there?" Ravenpaw yelped. "Show yourself!" no one stalked out of the shadows or jumped out at him as he had expected. The only thing was a whisper, one he was barely able to catch on as the cool breeze and mountain air had brushed it away.

"You will lead now. Find the Forest Clans and join together."

'Uh. What?'
