"I said-" Before Number 2 could refute, Number 1 interrupted her chain of words.

"If you delay your treatment and end up dying from this wound, do you think Lia can live her life without feeling guilty over your death? What if we rescue Lia later, but you are no longer able to see her again? Don't be stubborn and go to the hospital first. I promise I won't let him off. I'll hand him over to you after you recover to torment him however you'd like. I won't say another word when that time comes."

Number 1 bent down on one knee and looked her in the eye. This was the first time he has spoken so many words ever since they became partners. "You trust me, right?"

Number 2 nodded. "Fine. I trust you. I'll go." Under her cooperation, Number 1 managed to get her onto a stretcher and had her transported to the nearest hospital.

"Now, where were we again? Oh, right. So, old man Master Liam, speak up." Number 1 stuffed the hand that had Number 2's dried blood in his pocket. His fingers formed a tight fist after it reached deep into his pocket.

Before Number 2 left for the hospital, she handed him her dagger. With her dagger in one hand and his eyes locked on the bastard who ruined many people's lives for the sake of his selfish desires, he threatened him once again. "You don't care about your reproductive parts. For someone who lost his wife and already has a son, certainly, you would give no care for getting your extra small-sized twig chopped off."

"But shall I remind you of all the other methods I've long learned from you on torturing people? You've done such an exceptional job coming up with these tormenting methods, it'll be quite a shame to not have you experience it yourself. It'll also be rude of me to not return everything I've learned, wouldn't it?" Flashbacks of his past replayed in his mind again.

His grip tightened on the handle of the dagger. Before anyone could've stopped him, the tip of the dagger already sliced its way into Master Liam's arm. Like a sushi chef, his aim was accurate and fierce. From that quick slice, Master Liam's arm was close to being crippled.

"You-" Master Liam couldn't even mutter another word out as pain circulated his body.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. I've cleansed this dagger with itching powder. Painful? This is the so-called amateur level of striking enemies that you taught me. Now, let me repeat my question. Where is Lia?" Number 1's sudden action caught everyone off guard. However, that didn't make Michael loosen his grip on Master Liam's wrists.

"You can save your breath. I won't tell you her whereabouts." Master Liam snickered as he observed his surroundings.

"Then, don't mind if I do..." Number 1 raised his hand in the air with the dagger pointed sharply at Master Liam. His swift movement halted right before the tip of the dagger touched Master Liam's body.

"Hold on! Stop!" Antonio's voice reverberated around the empty floor, catching everyone's attention.

Number 1 rolled his eyes before turning around to greet Antonio. As he turned around, he stretched his neck sideways letting out two cracks. "What? Are you here to save your dad?"

"Lia wasn't caught by my dad! The video was from the past. Lia safely boarded her flight and left! I have proof. I have a shadow guard who can be the witness. My dad wanted to trick the Clover family and take revenge for what happened years ago! Lia is safe. There is no point in continuing this fight with my dad!" Antonio pulled out his phone and played a video with the shadow guard exposing Master Liam's plan.

After the five minutes video was finished playing, Antonio spoke at a higher volume. "See? He is just lying about capturing Lia!"

"You know, speaking loud doesn't make you right. It also doesn't mean that anyone will listen to your request." Number 1 spun the dagger in his hand teasingly as if he was threatening Antonio with Master Liam's safety.

"I know my dad made a lot of mistakes. I know he is also wrong in many ways, but what will hurting him do for you? What will-" Antonio's sentence was cut off by Number 1.

"It will make this world a much brighter place. Your dad is a human trafficker. He kidnaps children from anywhere as long as he sees potential in the child. To make these children stay with him and undergo brainwashing training, he murdered families and even villages. Growing up, the children would be taught countless survival skills just to become his damn puppet. Nobody lives with a soul. Everyone is just a chess piece to him. So why should he not suffer his consequences?" Number 1 glared straight into Antonio's shocked eyes.

"But he..." Antonio tried coming up with excuses to justify his dad's action. However, deep down he also knew that no reason can explain his dad's doing.

"Also, a bigger question should be why are you still helping this monster after seeing Lia's video? Even if the video was not recent, it still does not change the fact that your dad whipped Lia before." Antonio was rendered speechless by Number 1's sudden question.

"So why are you not considering how Lia would feel and stick to her side for once? Oh, right, weren't you obsessed with being the Clover family's son-in-law? Never mind my words then. Even if Lia dies in front of you, you would still be delusional enough to help your dad. I pity Lia for loving someone as stupid as you." These words struck Antonio at a sore spot.

'Indeed...I've never once thought of Lia...' Antonio's complicated emotions surfaced as countless questions came up.

"My son is supposed to be the Clover family's son-in-law! So what?! Lia is nothing but an orphan I took home and trained since young. She liked Antonio, so I need to put her in her place. Who is she to love my son? I did punish her, but so what? Antonio, you idiot! Why did you ruin my plan?!" Master Liam gnashed his teeth. He refused to see his faults.
