Big Gift For You

Jason's parents and sister came home a few hours after Selina had fallen asleep. He gave them a brief summary of what had happened. Worried about Selina, they let him off to look after Selina right after he has said enough for them to connect the dots. At the same time, Celinda saw how upset her parents reacted when they heard about Selina's childhood.

Luckily, Jason's room was soundproof, because the Hui couple were irritated by Selina's mother. Celinda has never seen her parents make the disgusted look on their faces. She was quite surprised by the expression on their faces.

"Mom. Dad. Are you two upset?" She asked.

Julia released a huge sigh. "I can't believe someone would do something like that to their own blood and flesh. Truly disgusting! Selina is such a sweet, innocent girl. Who wouldn't like her? Forget calling that wench, mother! She can call me mother from now on. I'll treat her like how I treat you and your brother. Even better too!"

Nodding, Nick crossed his arms and leaned back on the couch. "I'm seriously thankful Selina didn't end up wicked like that unworthy woman. She is shaming all mothers in the world!"

"Mothers? She is the shame of all women! Who leaves their kid like that? Unbelievable! If I ever meet her, I need to crack some nuts with her head and spit the shells onto her face. How can she be so brainless and cold-hearted? Carrying a child for nine months is very difficult! Some people aren't even blessed to have a child and she's treating her child this way. Shame on her!"

Julia's chest heaved in a bobbing manner as she closed her eyes.

Biting her lips, Celinda asked a question she's been wanting to ask for a while now. "Mom, dad. If someone abuses your children like how Selina's mother did to Selina, what would you do?"

"Hah?! Is this even a question? This is straight up calling the entire family to beat the crap out of that person. Depending on the situation, but abuse is always a huge no. If any of you suffer from any type of abuse, I won't allow it. If I find out, then the person is mashed to ground meat. Maybe even used to make spaghetti sauce for stray dogs!" Julia frowned at the thought of her children suffering from abuse.

Nick let out a humph sound with his lips pressed together. "If anyone abuses my children, they are asking for death. I'll stomp on their neck and crush their bones with my hands. Nobody can bully anyone under my eyes. I'll have them bankrupt and chased to the slums, to drink feet water."

Hearing her parents' response, a huge rock has been lifted off her shoulders. She felt light for the first time since they've came back.

"But honey. Why did you ask the sudden question? Don't tell me Selina was bullied." Julia cracked her knuckles, ready to bring a troop of armed guards to hunt bastards down.

Shaking her head, Celinda smiled. With reddened eyes, she lifted her head to face her parents. "It's not Selina. Actually, I've been wanting to address this to both of you. I just never found the right timing to tell you two the truth. I've divorced with Roger."

She looked at her parents who looked at her with a concerned expression. Still, they remained quiet, letting her finish her story first. She continued. "We..We've never consummated our marriage. On our first night as newlyweds, I found out he has switched my vitamins for anti-depressants. I had many doubts and found out many sides I never saw in him. He was manipulative and abusive to certain extents."

Her body trembled slightly as her hands balled into fists. Licking her bottom lip, she left a short pause between her explanation and pondered whether she should include the gang incident to them. Raising her head, she saw how worried they looked; she decided to keep that incident to herself.

With a small smile, she said. "One night, he added aphrodisiacs to my milk, wanting to make this marriage complete. I managed to escape and find brother for help. Nothing happened between us and brother already dealt with him. But mom, dad..I'm sorry for disappointing you two. I know how happy you two were during my wedding, but I broke your hearts at the end."

"I'm sorry.." Her voice trailed off as tears layered in her eyes.

Before she could react, she found herself sandwiched between her parents. Julia whispered, "My god..sweetie. You must have been through so much on your own. Don't apologize for something that isn't your fault. The only reason why our hearts are hurting, is that you're our daughter. You are not the one at fault. Silly girl, you'll always be our precious baby girl. I'm glad you're alright."

"Sweetheart, we weren't by your side when all of this happened. You must have been so scared. Thank goodness your brother was here for you. I'm so so so glad you're alright. You're all fine and well. That's the most important. If anything like this ever happens again, you need to tell us first thing. Don't keep it to yourself." Nick patted Celinda's back, soothing the trembles from her body.

"Mom. Dad. There's another thing I think you two should know. Peter Sin was Roger's cousin. He was the one who contacted Roger to ask me to bail his parents out. Brother already made Peter Sin's parents stay in cells with the worst people they could ever mess with. Also...Peter Sin used to be Selina's fiancé."

Celinda told them about the incident at the mall where Peter and Shirley bothered Selina. Since Selina could face these bastards for her sake, she could also tell her parents to deal with them. After giving them a walkthrough on things that has happened related to the Sins and Selina, the Hui couple's anger rose.

Cracking the sides of his neck, Nick stretched his limbs. "I'd seen many shameless people, but I've never heard of such scums in society. Peter Sin? Shirley Han? Haha, the Hans were removed from the prestigious list, so they have no power. Shirley Han is merely a vase now. All empty for display. I won't let Peter Sin off. All Sins will be destroyed."

As soon as these words left his mouth, his phone rang. Eric called him to inform him about dropping by Hui Corps tomorrow to have a tour around the company. Nick understood that they would have to face the Clover family sooner or later. Therefore, he agreed to them paying a visit tomorrow afternoon.

After hanging up, he sent Jason a text, letting him know about the arrangements. Jason had just finished brushing his teeth when the message flashed on his screen. Reading his dad's text message, a small smile appeared on his lips.

He climbed under the covers, planted a kiss on Selina's forehead and whispered to her ear. "I have a big gift for you tomorrow. Sleep tight, my dear."

For the entire night, Jason hugged Selina in his arms as they slept.
