On a sunny, Saturday, morning, Julie is sitted alone at the coffee shop waiting for Josiah, it's been almost an hour and he hasn't showed up.
Julie becomes slightly annoyed. Tired of waiting, she takes out her phone from her bag and calls him but he doesn't answer, she calls him again, this time he answers.
"What's taking you so long? I'm at the coffee shop waiting for you, aren't we going to the movies today?"
Julie asked him impatiently.
" I'm on my way. " He says angrily.
"Hurry up, I'm tired of waiting."
She complains. He hangs up.
Julie sighs and scrolls through her phone, playing one of her favorite online games. To keep herself busy till he comes, so she won't be bored to death.
Few minutes later, Paul and his cousin walked into the Cafe while laughing and discussing. Paul looks around the room in an attempt to chose where to sit. Suddenly he sees Julie and smiles.
" Let's sit over there."
He tells his cousin, who nods and follows him.
Pauls walks up to her and says in a happy tone with a broad smile on his face.
" Hey Julie. "
She looks up, surprised to see him, then she smiles and says.
" Oh, hi Paul. "
" I had no idea you'd be here. "
Paul says and asks.
" What are you doing here? "
" I'm waiting for someone."
Julie answered. She looked at the tall, handsome, young, man standing next to Paul and asked.
" Is he your brother ? "
Paul turns to his cousin and says.
" Dante', Meet my friend Julie.
Julie, meet my cousin Dante'. "
" Nice to meet you. "
Julie says with a smile.
" It's a pleasure to meet you. "
He says and shakes her hands.
" Have a sit. " Julie says as she gestures towards the empty chair opposite her.
Dante' sits down opposite Julie. There was a wide, empty, table in between them.
"You guys sit and talk, while I go get us something to drink."
Paul says to them and walks away.
" Sure. " Julie says with a nod.
Paul stands at the back of a semi long line that has been formed in front of a big counter, Where a male cashier stood.
Julie looked at her watch, wondering why Josiah wasn't here yet.
" Where was he? Was he stuck in traffic?" she wondered, while looking through the glass window beside her.
Dante' observed her and asked.
"Are you waiting for someone?"
" Yes. " she simply answered and looked away.
" Try to be a little more Patient, I'm sure the person is on his way. "
Dante says in a calming tone.
Julie looked at him, she liked his friendly aura and warm smile. It was refreshing to see.
" So how long have you known My brother? " Dante' asked out of the blue.
Julie smiled, slightly taken aback by his curiosity.
" Six months, Mr detective ".
She answered.
Dante' laughs and says.
" I'm just naturally curious. "
Julie smiled at his words and looked outside the window, Dante' stared at her as if expecting her to say more.
Julie's eyes met his intense gaze and she looked away. She noticed he was staring at her, so she wondered if he was about to say something but didn't know how to say it.
"Wanna say something? "
She asked him.
" My brother has mentioned a lot about you, he often thinks about you and he seems to really like you a lot. "
Dante' revealed without Paul's permission.
" So I was wondering if you two, have been friends for a very long time. Are you guys close? " Dante' asked, for some reason, Prying into his brother's social affairs.
" Paul and I just happen to work in the same place that's all." Julie confirms. She didn't quite understand what Dante' meant by.
" He seems to like you a lot. "
And she wondered why he was this curious about Paul's social life.
She never knew Paul had feelings for her, he never told her anything like that, or showed any sign of such, they have been decent friends since she knew him and it's surprising and confusing to her that Paul had any love interest in her when he knows she is in a serious relationship.
She smiled and decided to take what Dante' said about Paul as a friendly compliment.
