Journey: The Destructive Incarnate

In the Stellar sea of stars, a giant tree stood, rivers made of countless white streaks flowed throughout its giant body travelling toward its root. Those rivers were made of souls going through the process of rebirth, but among those countless rivers, a certain stream travelled directly toward the stem of the tree. In that specific river, a soul flowed like every other; nothing special about it would have remained as such. Suddenly the space it inhabited collapsed as a brilliant golden glow travelled out of that distorted space. The soul unable to escape got showered by that golden glow, its spiritual body absorbing it. Unable to handle the magnitude of the power contained in the golden light, the soul started to tear up. But somehow it managed to absorb it all, but it came at a cost, as the single soul split into two, one being thrown out of that river. Passing through another river, it made its way toward the root, whereas the other part continued on its way. A soul who got the body to handle the power of the golden glow after rebirth but didn't have it, and a body that had the power but couldn't handle it was created. But fate works in mysterious ways as after the death of one body, the soul finally reunited making someone whole. "Still haven't given up, Huh, Barry"

The muscular man said as he sensed the raging mana flowing out of Barry, seeing this he put his hood down as his face came to view.

White hair, with brown skin, his face filled with scars the result of many battles he endured.

"I liked that about you, your strong will. But alas it will bring your downfall."

He said as he put his hands on his head as if weeping for a friend. Thunder flowed through his body as the lightning in the skies roared fueling the thunderstorm above.

"Droid, You Know I Will Never Give Up. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

Barry roared as the shadow binding him loosened, he kicked the ground as it collapsed under his strength.

Like a beast on the brink of death, he rushed toward his enemies, killing them mercilessly, they tried to fight back but it was of no use.

Even while seeing his men die like flies, Droid didn't move as he looked at the scene with cold eyes. As if those deaths meant nothing to him.

The assassins didn't stop attacking Barry, even though they saw their comrade die next to them they without fearing death continued to attack.

Some daggers got embedded into Barry's body, and some managed to hit him with their magic but it was all for not as all of them died.

"Haa, haa, haa."

With his figure more bloodied than ever before Barry tried to catch his breath as he looked at the dead bodies next to him.

<Thunder Magic: Eradication>

A magic circle of unimaginable magnitude appeared above Barry's head covering a diameter of one kilometer.

As Barry looked up he saw Droid looking at him with a smile on his face, it seemed all those deaths were for him to charge this spell.

"Die, Barry."

He said in a cold voice as a pillar of lightning too fast for Barry to escape from rained down on the magic circle.

He could see, that attack would mark his death. No matter how much he tries to struggle he won't be able to survive.

"Ha"

He exhaled a deep breath as he looked at the baby in his hand, putting the baby on the ground he lay over.

Shielding the baby with his own body he closed his eyes as he broke his "Mana Star" the foundation for his current rank.

And in that instance, the amount of mana that his body should be able to handle flowed through the cracked star.

So using the mana he currently had he protected the baby with all his might. And in the next second, he was engulfed by a pillar of white lightning.

The pillar erupted as it disintegrated everything in a kilometer diameter, seeing that Droid closed his eyes as he mourned for his friend in his heart.

Seeing that his mission was complete he looked at the magic circle once again and started to rush out of there.

After all, he is in another Empire currently and can't let the guards catch him.

Pierce!!

Suddenly a hand pierced his heart and he vomited blood, he turned his head back and saw the most terrifying figure.

A man whose face was completely burnt, his left hand melted off as the armor he was wearing melted into his flesh.

"Goodbye Droid."

The man said with a voice akin to a screech, and as Droid looked down he saw it.

A lone pillar standing in the middle of a disintegrated ground, and in the middle of a pillar a baby sleeping in the comfort of its basket.

This was the last image he saw as the light of life faded from his eyes.

Seeing that his opponent was dead he rushed back toward the baby he picked up the basked up, and at full speed, he rushed toward the nearest city.

He was currently moving on a lifeline, his death imminent but he didn't care for it as the only thing in his mind was the safety of the baby.

In a few minutes, a visage of a city started to appear in front of his eyes, with all his mana focused on his eyes he searched for a church building and he found it.

He slowed himself down as he cast a low-level stealth magic, the only stealth magic he knew.

Arriving in front of the gate of the church he put the baby on the ground, suddenly blood rushed to his throat but with only his will he swallowed it back down.

Looking at the child in front of him, he knelt down like a knight and started to speak.

"Please forgive me, My new Lord. This humble servant of yours won't be able to help in the future perils you will be facing."

He took a deep breath as he continued.

"This is a disgrace to me as a Knight, so please forgive this humble servant."

He stopped his words as he looked toward the sky, his eyes filled with sadness and melancholy.

"Although I won't be there. My Lord, My lady, the only child of the Lord I serve. I hope you will have a happy and beautiful life."

Saying his last word he looked at the child and removed the sleep spell from her, knocking on the door he disappeared.

With all the remaining mana in his body, he ran and ran, his body started to get disintegrate due to exploding his Mana Star.

"Gods, it's My last Prayer. I HOPE MY LADY HAS A BEAUTIFUL LIFE AHEAD!!!!"

He shouted to the heavens above as his body slowly but surely disappeared, his existence vanishing from this world.

He was a knight, who fulfilled his duty to the very end and died hoping for a brighter future for his lord.

"Wa, Wa, Wa"

The child cried as she heard the sound of the thunder in the sky, the old church's door creaked open as a nun peaked outside.

Seeing the baby on the ground crying with all her might she picked her up with the basket as she entered inside.

Not surprised by this even as this is a normal occurrence, closing the door of the church she started to soothe the child so that she would stop crying.

The child tightly gripping a sapphire green pendant on her neck, stopped crying as she fell back to sleep.

Seeing this the Nun smiled as she walked toward the other nuns in the building, all of them seeing the baby knew already what to do as they got to work.

An old man, most likely the father in the church walked toward the nun carrying the baby, his face aged and with a gentle smile as he looked at the sleeping baby.

"May the Sun God, "The Everburning Justice", protect you, my child."

He said as he blessed her, light radiated behind him as a warm air surged in the room.

"May the Sun God, "The Everburning Justice", protect you, my child."

All the nuns followed as it was a tradition in the church, to bless all the orphaned children that are left here.

The other kids inside the church building also followed them though they were more clumsy.
