Chapter One~

As Joseph stood in front of a huge manor, with ashen face, he held his camera tightly.

Joseph took a big breath as he tried to calm himself down.

*Knock knock* Joseph knocked on the door as he tighly clutched his clothes. A few minutes later, he heard heavy footsteps walking towards the door.

*Creak* The old oak door made a loud creak after being opened. "Hm? Who might you be? I didn't expect a visitor today." A tall man with long nails asked.

"Are you perhaps..... The new hunter?" The man asked. "I-Indeed I am, Joseph Desaulniers. A pleasure to meet you." Joseph said as he reached out his hand.

"My my, do forgive me for not inviting you in. The name's Jack, Jack the Ripper" Jack said while moving to the side signaling for Joseph to come in. Joseph's hand was left hanging mid-air. As he awkwardly retracted his hand, he walked with wide steps inside the manor.

"I apologise for the handshake. I cannot do so as it might hurt you." Jack said while waving his hand. "Ahh, I see no worries." Joseph weakly nodded. "You must be tired from the journey hm? Would you like a cup of tea?" Jack said while leading the way.

"Mmm,do you have Earl Grey perhaps?"

"A tea enthusiast huh? Yes we do. Do you wanna wait in the lobby first or do you wanna see your room?" The Ripper said while turning around to look at Joseph.

"C-could I wait in my room please?" Joseph weakly said "Yes of course, do follow me."

After a few twist and turns they finally arrived at Joseph's room. All the doors were made of Oak wood without any designs to know which is which. Joseph was surprised to see how Jack knew exactly where everything was, but then again who knew how long Jack has been here.

"Here it is." Jack stopped in front of a dark oak door. "Here is the key. You only get one so please do take care of it." He said while dangling a key using his nails in front of Joseph. "T-thank you." Joseph said while taking the key from his long nails.

"Oh right." Jack added. "Do take note that we are strictly prohibited from entering the Survivors manor." Jack said. "Prohibited? Survivors manor? Are the Survivor's and Hunter's manor connected or some sort?"

Joseph asked with a look of confusion in his face. "Indeed. We are prohibited from entering the Survivor's manor and so will they be prohibited from entering the Hunter's manor.

It was said that a hunter went on a rampage once and a Survivor went into the Hunter's manor. The survivor eventually got severely injured to the point he could die any second now. The Survivor's were traumatized by it so now there is this strict rule where we cannot go to the Survivor's manor and Vice-versa." Jack patiently explained to Joseph.

"Ahhh, I see thank you for the warning." Joseph said. "No problem. I should get going now. I have a match soon. I also heard that there will be a new Survivor. Have some rest now. You have a match tomorrow." Jack said while waving goodbye at Joseph.

Jack quickly went out of Joseph's vision then he quickly sank inside his bed. "Ahhhh, so tiring."

As Joseph plopped inside his bed, he quickly fell asleep.

- Time skip to Early morning -

Joseph quickly woke up to see a sight he wasn't used to seeing.

*Yawn* As Joseph took a long look at the clock he realized it was 4:30 in the morning.

Joseph then took a quick bath, brushed his teeth, brushed his hair then quickly tied in the golden ribbon back to his hair.

As he went outside his room to find where the library was he came across a muscular looking man. "Who are you?" Asked the muscular looking man as he took a few good looks at Joseph, he then said. "Ahhh, you must be the new hunter ey? I heard about you from Jack. I'm Leo Beck. The Hell Ember." Leo said while grinning.

"J-joseph, Joseph Desaulniers. Do you perhaps have a library here? I still don't know the Survivor's abilities." "We do. Follow me. Otherwise, you might get lost if I wasn't here." Leo said while tapping his chest proudly. "T-thanks." "Oh right! So what's your ability?" Leo said with a questioning look on his face. "I can make a camera world where anything that happens there will be cast in the real world." Joseph said while lifting his camera.

"Woah woah woah. Well isn't that too overpowered?" Leo said while looking surprised. "Ehhh, not really only half of the changes that happend in the camera world will be cast after I finish." "Ohhh, I see. Alright were here. Take your time to look at the books. I'm the hunter next game, hehe." With that he waved goodbye and soon left the library.

"Who should I read first?" Joseph said as he walked to the Survivor's section. As he took a look at the Survivors books he found a rather interesting ability. "A coffin?" He took out the book then proceeded to read it's contents. "Aesop Carl, The Embalmer. Can make coffins and whoever is embalmed in the coffin will be saved from the rocket chair once. Interesting. Should I hunt him first if I ever get matched up with him?"

A few more hours and he already read all of the Survivors skills, pros and cons. After finishing Emily Dyer, a loud blaring sound sounded out.

"Joseph Desaulniers, match will start in 2 minutes. Please hurry to the matchmaking room in a minute if not you will be immediately eliminated." A loud female voice said.

Surprised Joseph quickly took out his watch to see the time. "It's already 2?!" Joseph alarmingly ran outside to go to the matchmaking room, however he didn't know where to go and eventually got lost. Panic stricken he quickly found Violeta in the corridors and asked. "Do you know where the matchmaking room is?" Joseph quickly asked. Violeta then proceeded to throw her webs that surprisingly made a path. "Thank you!" Joseph quickly ran to the matchmaking room with only a few seconds left to spare.

Luckily the matchmaking room was only a few meters away in a hidden corridor.

"5..4..3..2.." as the timer was blaring hard Joseph got in at the last second.

"Hunter has entered the match."
