Chapter 38: Prelude of the Shadow War Pt.1

~Third POV~

After a year has passed after the events of Blutig threat to the Schnee's Eis has been enjoying his life with his family and his new bodyguard Penny Polendina.

Since Blutig wasn't captured or found Penny has been pretty much stuck with Eis as his personal bodyguard but he treats her more as a friend than a machine.

Of course, Eis wasn't told that Penny was a robot he figured that out himself but gave Penny the excuse that it was his second Semblance that revealed it leaving Penny shocked!

Soon after Eis found Penny out he started to ask questions of what life was living with her father Pietro comforting her.

Just like that they became good friends are talking around of what they like to have topic about what is human and how to have fun.

Weiss also joins in the fun with Penny as well with Eis around enjoying their time but Penny isn't always with Eis all the time since she needs to be with her father Pietro Polendina but also gives her some information about her day.

For the year Eis hasn't been slacking off in the least as soon as he started to train his Hamon and Spin with his family around they were surprised about him suddenly creating sparks Eis knew that this was unavoidable.

But after the events of Blutig Eis knew showing off his skills wasn't the wisest choice since his control has been stagnated for a while out of fear that people would exploit him but after what happen he didn't care anymore.

Soon Eis would become a powerful figure one day so he didn't care much but Weiss and Winter were very interested at the idea of using Eis techniques which wasn't a bad thing as long as he keeps it a secret with them.

He even sweetens the deal and explained the added effect to keep their age appearance younger as they grow up that was enough for them to get hook up with Eis Hamon technique, but he also asked Winter that he wanted a special Wires of for a weapon.

Winter questioned why as Eis prepared an answer was that because he needed a range weapon after viewing Blutig example of how he controlled the battlefield but didn't use his name since it was a sore topic in the family.

Winter agreed with the request and ask Ironwood for the favor that he failed to protect Eis and compensated to Eis request since he did fail to catch Blutig and let him capture Eis even though he was fine at the end.

Eis requested that his weapon of choice was something similar to that of Akame ga Kill Lubbock Imperial Arms Cross Tail that has the Schnee symbol on it.

It takes the form of gloves and metallic fingertips with wire threads running through them, and it can be used in various ways to attack, defend against, or immobilize opponents. The majority of the wire is held in a larger than normal spool at the back of the waist.

However, Eis didn't ask for the wire at all since Eis used his Golden Experience to create the Danger Beast body hair that was used for the original Cross Tail and since his Golden Experience ability Life Giver can endow anything its fists touches with life it was very easy to create body hair.

If Golden Experience has the ability to create life out of any inorganic materials into animals and plants, then creating the body hair of the Danger Beast was a simple task as well as cost free Eis to have!

Also, the string does what it can from the original and having another bonus effect with Golden Experience ability of Damage Reflection if anyone tries to cut off Eis new weapon he calls Life Cross Tail.

With the Wire Manipulation Lv. MAX Eis was able to do a lot of wire attacks from the other shows some of Donflamingo, Walter, and Lubbock techniques since they are a best example of how to use their strings.

As the days went by Eis haven't used his Lien to spend on his Tokens just yet he was now saving as much as he can for the future since he was going to need it in the future.

For the passing days Penny managed to introduce her father to Eis Schnee when he went to Mantle as well as meet the other Happy Huntresses again for touring through Mantle and see the best places around the City.

Ironwood tried to convince Eis if he was interested in joining the Atlas Academy in the future while Eis just told him no and explained to him that he would rather go to Beacon Academy.

Ironwood could only nod his head in understanding since he can't convince Eis mind, but he did ask him, "Very well then young man, but I was wondering if Blutig had any help in escaping the prison made for him?"

Eis thought that question over but reluctantly agree since he has no clear answer to deny the man and it might help the future, so he showed him his answer of Watts and Tyrian were the ones who attack the prison and helped Blutig escape.

When he saw it, he was very surprised at the people while he was worrying how much Atlas System has been compromised, he soon returns to Eis as he says, "This! Eis I thank you very much for your assistance I have something that needs to be done have a good day!"

The General hurry up into his military office and began to give orders to their system defenses as well as make big changes requesting a new system needed to make this took a year to get the job done.

But Ironwood made sure to tell Ozpin about Eis new ability of his Second Semblance being able to perform divination of the impossible while viewing where they are at…

~Ironwood POV~

As I finished telling Ozpin about Eis report he seems to be thinking about this hard…

I would as well if someone was viewing where I was at, I would never have known but if Salem ever gets her hand on him…

That could be the end of humanity if Eis would ever know that there are the Maidens, Relics, and Salem she would do anything in her power just to get him…

Then I hear Ozpin talking to me with Glynda next to him, "Hmm… yes that certainly is troublesome for this Eis Schnee to be left unattended but as far as we have seen over the years it looks like the young man is quite capable to defend himself?"

Well of course but his track record is something to be questioned.

Over the years Eis Schnee has been able to defend himself against assassins from a very young age, unlocked his second Semblance which is very rare to find, and his said Semblance Manifestation can give him odd abilities that seem to give him different abilities from Huntsman and Huntresses.

One could even say a prodigy with his achievements under his belt and it seems to me that he has good control over his personality and not let himself be arrogant.

Fortunately, my Ace-Ops gave me some up take about his abilities, but it is unknown just how much he has grown over the year only Penny was able to get such information.

Maybe I should be happy that Blutig left then that means Penny has been close to Eis to know what his abilities are but it's not mandatory after all but how did he know Penny was an android is what I don't get?

From Penny she was sure to be made humanly and feel humanly possible but Eis was able to discern her easily on the first contact it makes one wonder how he was able too, but soon I was returning my attention to Ozpin again.

While I finally reply to the Headmaster at Beacon in a professional manner, "Yes he is able to defend himself well and since the incident with Blutig running Eis has been training ever since showing new techniques I never quite heard of before since he invented it apparently."

Seeing over to the screen Ozpin looks intrigue of Eis ability taking a sip from his mug, "Sip… Hmm… he invented a new technique really? As much as I would like to talk more on the subject how have you been James from the look of things you are very concerned about something or rather someone yes?"

Yeah, I'm more concern on why Eis is so adamant in heading to your school instead of Atlas Academy and it's not for wanting to more like he needed to…

With that in my head I decided to talk about this to Ozpin to get his opinion on the matter, "Yes actually… it's just seems to me that Eis is very adamant joining your school instead of Atlas to become a Huntsman…"

Seeing to Ozpin getting curious I soon hear Glynda speak next with her voice of unconcern of my worrying, "And? I for one don't see a problem about this James it seems to me that will just get another talented student with an odd set of skills to me."

I… suppose so maybe I'm overreacting it a bit here getting my fear ahead of me here…

Soon I hear Ozpin speak next with his usual voice, "Still though his ability is certainly useful to have on our side but I'm afraid recruiting him in our circle can't be allowed… or at least not yet anyway."

Looking up at the screen with a clear look of surprise and I wasn't the only one Glynda had the same look as well, "I'm sorry Ozpin but maybe I haven't heard that correctly you want to recruit Eis Schnee into your Shadow War!"

Ozpin simply nodding his head affirmative he begin to explain while me and Glynda reluctantly agree with him, "Yes I want this child on our side but I'm afraid it's too soon for him to join I for one want to see his character of this Eis Schnee if his a valuable ally to have once he has grown up, with his divination it should be possible to finally have an edge I will discuss this with the other Headmasters once he graduates, we need an edge to know what she is planning."

I could only nod my head at Ozpin request maybe Eis going to Beacon would be the best after all to see if Ozpin judges him as a person we could trust, "Very well then Headmaster I could only hope that Eis is someone we can trust."

Ozpin nodding his head as he begins to say his piece before he turns off his communication, "I hope so as well Ironwood this is Ozpin signing off good night General."

With that I turn off my screen as I put my hand on my head saying to myself, "I just hope bringing that kid in won't kill him sooner…"

~Third POV~

Unaware to the Ozpin Faction Eis has been constantly seeing the update between the two factions of what they were doing with his Hermit Purple to view using his scroll.

However, Eis has not once unequipped Blutig Semblance Instant Waves as he was hearing the thoughts of people and acted as needed to hide his abilities and listen in more clearly to the whole entire conversation.

When listening in to their conversation Eis grew a grim expression as he thought, 'Shit… I guess my ability was going to be found out sooner or later but what does Salem do next is the question?'

With that Eis started to spy on the conversation to Salem Faction to see what their plans are…
