Shooting the Gun

"You fucking bastard I'll kill you!!!" A voice rang out from the vast forest surrounding him, and as a barrage of bullets suddenly started hailing down on Gensui a grin spread across his face.

Quickly grabbing the door he had ripped off he used it to shield himself from the oncoming barrage, now naturally after facing such a barrage one would retreat and try to reduce their numbers from a fair bit of range as he had the superior equipment that he could create in seconds.

However!

Gensui over the months had learned a crucial lesson, which was that no matter who the individual is, be it strong or weak, all uniformly have some preconceived notions inside their head 'Oh they couldn't possibly face my punch head on just to counter strike me!' or 'Running straight in front of gunfire for a slight advantage!'

And as long as such preconceived notions exist, Gensui could use them, thoroughly.

He could even say it was his forte and something that separated him from the rest, even by his teacher he was called the 'Unpredictable Sorcerer', not that he was much of a sorcerer yet.

However even despite that he wouldn't let the meager amount of pride he gained from that title go in vain.

So, much like his true nature, he chucked the body of the now dead window to where the majority of the gunfire was coming from and threw it, not soon after following it with the car door that was protecting him.

His position was already given away as soon as he came out from the car and mocked the 'Mercenaries' not that he had much to lose as a sudden attack was impossible since he couldn't detect anyone, so coercing them to reveal their position served to his position, and with all his pieces in place...… he dashed!

Almost instantaneously an Assault rifle appeared in his hand, already loaded with the magazine as he approached the sea of trees in front of him.

The current battlefield was one that Gensui was most Familiar with, A mountainous forest.

Finally stepping outside of the road he could immediately sense the presence of the attackers as all were dumbfounded by his actions.

'17 in total, 1 was already eliminated (Window), I threw the body and the door at the center with 13 people, none died there but some got stunned' Silently thinking Gensui reinforced his body with even more Cursed energy and quickly approached the nearest attacker from the side.

Seeing in her widened eyes the reflection of him and another person on a branch as a result of Cursed energy reinforcement in his eyes, Gensui shot another bullet above him without looking as he already dashed to his next victim.

Quickly 4 more fell as they were taking shelter behind trees, thinking they were safe, but the bullets quickly pieverced through them and the humans as well.

'7 Down, 10 more to go'

Shifting on his feet and kicking off huge amounts of dirt as a deep footprint appeared in the soil, he was confronted by a black-haired man with pale white skin.

"EAT THIS!" He yelled as his bullet itself shone lighting up his barrel others also made a notice of Gensui, some scared, some startled, and most angry.

"Cursed Energy reinforcement on an inanimate object? Useful but not in your hands" Gensui muttered and shot a bullet at his barrel, ripping into it's barrel and the rifle in his hand exploding due to such an action.

After all Cursed energy-reinforced bullet vs. a cursed energy-reinforced bullet would result in an explosion due to its powerful nature.

The others around the man increased their focus seeing how much of a good shot Gensui was.

Momentarily halting due to the explosion, Gensui continued running but was forced to spin around and take on a Cursed energy-reinforced knife on his gun's silencer as it got neatly cut in two.

His eyes widened as a small diagonal cut appeared across his face, barely missing his eyes. The assault continued as yet another person person came and kicked his gun off of his hand, flying out into the sky it landed finally in the arms of another girl who was rather poised to fire it.

"THIS IS FOR KAKU" She yelled pointing the gun at Gensui's back, However!

*Click*

*BOOM*

Right as she fired the gun it exploded in her arms as it appeared that the gun misfired, this led to much of the gun's schematics getting thrust into her.

"Did you think I'd let go of my gun without rigging it?" Gensui asked as right as the kick landed on the gun he had created a bullet in the barrel, one too big that it would be stuck there even if a bullet was fired.

Taking advantage of their momentarily stupefied state he quickly created 2 handguns, one in each hand as he fired.

'Two down' He thought as he shot the girl who took his booby-trapped gun and the man who kicked him.

Quickly their assault continued as two people having swords in their hands swung at him, both aiming to cut his extended arms that shot their comrades, approaching both of Gensui's arms from his sides.

A situation Gensui is all too familiar so he merely spun and crossed his arms, Guns pointing to the two coming from each side, and shot!

*BAAM*

"5 remaining" Gensui coldly said as he discarded his handguns and switched his approach aiming to end this encounter even faster, he quickly formed yet another assault rifle, but now for both of his hands, and pointed both at the Woman who had cut his gun before.

The Automatic Rifles did their job as the bullets ripped through the air aiming to pierce through the woman, however! All these were instead taken head-on by another man who seemed to appear almost instantly in front of the woman, protecting her and losing his life because of it.

'4 More' Gensui tiredly thought.

Although he had fought such battles quite many times he had never fought such a battle in which guns were used, as they were banned in Japan, so he had to be extra vigilant and thus move even more consciously than he ever had to, expanding his senses throughout the battlefield was far more difficult than what he originally thought it was before.

Despite having great offense, he lacked in defense, although Cursed Energy does improve his defense it isn't up to such a point that he will be unharmed from such a hit.

Normally he would use a much different approach for hidden enemies but this time it was different, in this location all the trees were just too close that if he did unleash AOE attacks he would also get caught up in it, and with the meeting coming up its something he would like to avoid.

So currently despite having offense on his hands all that he could do was sit passively and wait for the attackers to make a move and hope that the rest haven't started escaping since the surprise of the preemptive attack is long gone and they have but 75% of their forces with them.

Of course, they thought that they had more since they didn't exactly realize I had also sneakily killed multiple of them already.

As if tired of waiting the woman who was shielded by the man jumped out trying to stab at the back of Gensui's neck, and as if having eyes at the back of his head he perfectly parried it, and shot at her, unluckily however the woman managed to dodge out of the way and get shot in one of her legs, not dealing much damage as it was just a mere flesh wound.

Her colleagues, however? Almost as if waiting for such an opportunity jumped out, one behind Gensui and one on both of his sides, all aiming their swords at him.

Each one of their swords was brilliantly shining with Cursed energy as they slashed at Gensui each aiming at different parts of him, one aiming at cutting his head off, one wanting to cut his shoulder off, one about to bisect him.

But for Gensui, he couldn't help but see these things as easy as taking a cand from a child, to him such an attack was nothing short of foolish, IF they knew exactly about his powers that is.

Gensui merely pulled the trigger and spun around shooting bullets through all of their head and into the trees, some flying into the distance and all landed on the ground, dead.

"One left" Gensui said as he discarded one of his guns picked up one of the swords of the attackers and followed the blood trail left by the woman who ran away.
