Suzune POV.

I was the best.

The best at everything.

Everyone fell at my feet due to how superior I was...

Winning Piano competitions, Violin competitions, and many others.

Due to my rich Parents I was even on television and got even more popular.

As young as I was Naturally started to grow a Superiority complex interior behind a kind exterior.

I thought that I would always be at the top, the most loved, the most sought after but...

A month after starting Middle school..... All of it was broken down.... when 'HE' arrived.

He was, way too brilliant.

That bastard.

He was smart, strong and almost seemed perfect.

He was stronger in athletics than any boy.

He was smarter than anyone I had ever seen.

He was Handsome and every single other thing that could add more positive things to his character.

But that is what I cared about...

Not at all.

What made me hate him was that he could see the things that I could see.

Things that made me special.

Since I could remember having thoughts in my head my grandma before her death had given me a 'Charm'.

It was a common Japanese charm but it had 'something' in it.

It was something big, It felt like a 'Finger' or a rod-like object.

But its shape is not what matters.

When I grabbed onto the charm I could see 'things'.

Weird monsters that crawled around on my friends, on the ceiling, on the ground, and everywhere I could see, tens of them were usually around the classroom, but when I touched them while holding onto the charm, they would 'die'.

When I killed the ones on my friends they would start feeling better, I was happy about this, For so long I thought that was 'my' power.

Something that only I could have.

But.... Gensui... He could see them as well.

He could destroy them as well.

But I don't actually know if he can actually see or not, until now I have only seen him keep a hand on them on accident when leaning on furniture and whatnot

Maybe he can help me kill them as well?

Maybe we can be a duo who would kill the stronger ones together.

The ones that are bigger than me in a fight.

Ah, it would be so nice.

"No, can't think like that"

That is what I thought at first.

But I kept on fantasizing about this and.... eventually fell for him.

How embarrassing.

.

And now I have written a letter to him, to come under 'The legendary tree' at night.

I will confess to him and tell him about the 'charm' I have and we will come together and hunt down those monsters together!

Ah, how embarrassing to even think of-

*Rustle*

.

Hearing a Rustle I turned around and said, "Gensui kun finally! You are..ve...d?"

3RD POV

"Gensui kun finally! You are..ve...d?" Suzune looked behind with her smile but it soon faltered as she saw who it was.

A Quadrupedal Cursed spirit walked slowly out of the darkness and let out a slight growl, it had a rotund body similar to a Frog but scales all over its body like a fish, It had a head at the front of its body having three faces almost melded together and a large mouth at the bottom of its head.

Her jaw almost immediately fell as she looked at the gross-looking Cursed Spirit and immediately covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming something which she had picked up through the years of using her 'charms'.

"I'm a fool" Suzune muttered as she saw the Cursed spirit who was slowly walking over to her.

'Why did I already forget the strongest cursed spirit I had seen lived on this mountain?!' She yelled in her head.

'But I'm in luck, Gensui-kun should be already coming here and I can easily lop off a few of its legs and keep him down with incredible difficulty but it should be possible!' Suzune thought determined.

'Yeah this is doable, When Gensui kun comes here I can simply hand over the Charm to him and he'll be able to beat the cursed spirit up... NO! I can't rely on him he's only a normal person who probably has only sensed these monsters before....' 

'With how much I have seen of him from before I spied on him he's incredibly slow and reacts to attacks late due to its size, I must fight this monster and kill him, right now! Right here'

"HAHHHHHH" Suzune yelled as she grabbed the charm even more tightly causing the Cursed spirit to move its eyes to her.

*BOOM*

Immediately the cursed spirit moved faster than any ever he had done before in front of Suzune slammed it onto her and blew her through multiple trees.

"W...What?" Suzune muttered.

"Such speed..... How did it move so fast?" She continued.

Glancing at her hand she felt a warm energy going through it as she looked at the cursed spirit who seemed to be looking at her charm.

"No... give that back, that. mine" Suzune muttered and started to crawl towards the cursed spirit using only her hand, the cursed spirit on the other hand immediately ate the charm.

Suzune on seeing this stopped moving as her head fell down meeting the ground she started to feel despair well up inside of her, more and more feeling the presence of the Cursed spirit increasing after eating the Charm.

"Oh my, it really ate it haha" Gensui laughed as he walked beside Suzune.

"Gensui....kun?" Suzune muttered confused.

"Don't worry, now that I am here, everything will be fine," Gensui said with a smile as he looked at the Cursed spirit in front of it.

"You have to run, that Monster has grown way too strong" Suzune muttered as she felt her consciousness start to fade away.

Picking Suzune up from the ground Gensui let her down near a tree supporting her head as he grinned while looking at the cursed spirit and said, "Why would I run..... when a Cursed Spirit that just ate Sukuna's Finger is in front of me?"
