The Vampsion

"Watching Jayden alive has done something to you… Do you regret it? Do you still have feelings for him?" Hawkbone approached her as he saw her sitting on the wooden fence outside of the abandoned church which appeared to be Hawkbone's hideout.

"No… I can never be in love with him ever again" Her eyes were devoid of any emotion, as she had nothing left.

"Good! There are so many people out there! And you are so beautiful! You can get whoever you want" He put his hand on her shoulder.

She laughed with sarcasm "You don't know what love is! When you fall in hate with the person you loved with your heart, you can't fall in love again, you even begin to hate the word 'love' itself." Her gaze was fixed upon the floor..

"That's a harsh thing to say!" Hawkbone squinted with a smile on his face.

"Does that mean you've been in love?" She raised one eyebrow in a questioning manner.

"Just because you see a desolated ground… it doesn't mean it was never fertile!" He sat beside her.

"I was once in love… with the most beautiful woman ever… who deserved everything in the world" He got lost in thought.

Rose waited for him to speak, but he remained silent for some time before finally speaking. "But you see you can't trust anyone! People always want something from you! There's no one you can rely on!" He stood up and returned inside.

Rose followed him "Can I… trust you?" She was standing beside the wall.

"You should trust no one, my child!" He turned his face back to her and then walked to the main gate of the church.

"I want you to meet someone! You are not alone anymore" He twisted his wrist and with the movement of his hand the gates opened up.

As the gates opened, what she saw were people, many people with different ages and races.

"A war is coming and my children must prepare for it!" A man with dark eyes and long dark gray hair walked in, he was probably around forty, his hair was wavy.

"Who are you?" Rose asked.

"We are like you… or should I say… You are one of us!" He answered.

Rose definitely wasn't prepared for this, but the people who were standing in front of her were vampires. Old ones and new ones.

"Where are we going to keep them?" Rose whispered to Hawkbone.

"Oh don't worry you are going to have everything under control" He placed his hand on her shoulder.

There was a mansion much bigger for 10+ families which belonged to a handsome young man named Larry, according to their plan, the next day Rose went to visit Larry who lived alone there, and she seduced him to get inside his mansion.

She compelled him right on his table, she made him sign papers of that mansion, and she did a pretty clean work.

He led her to his bedroom and began to kiss her. Suddenly, a flashback of Jayden kissing her replayed in her head, causing her to jerk back with a strange feeling.

She kept staring at him for a couple of seconds.

"Is everything alright?" He asked.

She sat on his lap and approached him again, she slipped her fingers inside his hair and pulled him with the scruff of his neck.

She kissed him again but she could still see those moments when she kissed Jayden, she tried to distract herself but she ended up biting him.

"Owh! You are hurting me" He jerked back.

No matter how hard she tried to distract herself she couldn't.

"Stop whining!" She yells. She stumped in the room from left to right then got to him.

She looked him in his eyes and said "You don't remember anything except one thing that you happily handed over your property to Mr. Esteban Angelus! And you will go to your home and live with your grandparents and now you are so tired you will sleep and you will leave in the morning!" As soon as she was done he wrapped his comforter around him and slept like a baby.

She kept remembering Jayden, she growled and turned the dressing table upside down.

He woke up with noise and asked "What's happening?" he was still sleepy.

"I said go to sleep!" She yelled so loud, that he quickly laid back with his eyes closed.

"Okay, Mommy!" He hid in the comforter and fell asleep.

The next day when the entire community of vampires moved in Rose walked to the Hawkbone "I need to talk to you about something!" She took him to a separate place.

"It's about Jayden" She took a deep breath "I've noticed something! No matter how much blood I consume it is him who I crave for… it's like as if… as if I'd die if I don't get to taste his blood again! Why is that happening?" She rubbed her arms with her palms.

"Don't worry…. We will figure it out together!" He grabbed her by her shoulder inside the mansion.

"Welcome to the Vampsion!" A guy with black hair reached Rose with two glasses of wine in his hands.

They were celebrating, and for the first time, Rose agreed to drink.

"Your name defines you well… Rose right?" He smiled "Ryanne! You can call me Ray!" He smiled.

"How did you turn...?" She asked.

"Don't ask that's shameful" He laughed.

"Come on!" She insisted.

"I fell from a horse in a hurtle in 1800 and got squished by their hooves!" He bit his lips with shame and somehow he kept laughing, he looked at Esteban "Luckily Doyen found me!" His smile vanished from his face as if it never was there.

He was serious now "So I serve him for the rest of my days!" He smiled again.

"1800 huh? You don't quite look that old!" She giggled.

"Who are you calling old Miss Rose? I died young! I am 18 still, and I always will be!" He kept laughing and made her laugh too.

"Hey! I heard what you've been through, I am sorry if you think it is not right for me to ask but we are family now! You can trust all of us! You can share everything with us because there's one thing Doyen taught us so well is to have each other's back!" He smiled.

"Why do you call him Doyen?" She walked with him to the counter.

"There are two very important reasons why we call him that!" He pursed his mouth resting his back on the chair, placing the glass on the counter "First! He deserves it!" He got close to her "Second… His name is too difficult!" They both laughed out loud.
