John felt a surge of gratitude towards Sister Veronica. He walked over and hugged her tightly. "Thank you, Mother," he whispered. "For everything."
Tears welled up in Sister Veronica's eyes as she returned his embrace. "You are my family, John. All of you are. We will face whatever comes together."
