CHAPTER 11 - OH MY GOSH

"Oh Lord!" Elena shrieked softly as she jumped off Cameron's lap. Elena tidied up her blouse quickly before Patricia caught her almost disheveled.

"You must be inside already." Patricia actually opened the doorknob and walked into Elena's private office.

"Obviously I'm already here, Pat." Elena said as she flashed a smile that she deliberately made. "What is it?" asked Elena then.

"Mmm, here. I'll just give this to you." Patricia put the two files she had put in the brown folder

"Thanks, Pat. I'll do it today after my business with Cameron is done," Elena then glanced at Cameron who was still staring at her.

"Ah...sorry, I didn't realize you were here." Patricia also glanced at Cameron. "I know what you're doing." Patricia winked mischievously at Cameron as well as Elena.

"Pat..." Elena emphasized her tone.

Patricia laughed. "All right, all right. I'm out now." Then Patricia literally walked out of Elena's study, leaving behind a pair of sarcastic person who seemed to be starting to get passionately involved.

Elena cast a vicious look at Cameron. "You're going too far, Cam!"

"But you also enjoyed it."

"No! I mean... you see, Cam, I ..." Elena searched for the right words to convey to Cameron.

"Is there anything you can say to explain how excited you are when I kiss your lips?" asked Cameron mischievously.

Elena's face turned red. She is a normal woman, obviously she will be aroused when the opposite sex does this to her. But the problem is Cameron! How could she be aroused by a man like Cameron Jones.

"You're disgusting and crossing the line. So, you better get out right now and come see me when you really need me," Elena changed the subject very quickly.

"I really need you," Cameron said casually.

"Don't be crazy, Cam! You're just trying to annoy me."

"I really need to talk about the Johanson Corp matter with you,"

"You obviously don't want to talk about it,"Elena replied with a wary look.

Then Cameron pulled out his cell phone and opened the message he got from the chairman of Johanes Corp.

Elena read the message Cameron showed her quickly. She can understand the contents of the message with just one reading. Then she looked at Cameron with a look of irritation and annoyance.

"Do Ivy League grads always have the highest priority? Obviously Stanton said we'd be the two of us to deal with this."

"Indeed," Cameron said.

"But you got the message first," said Elena annoyed. She clearly no longer hides the annoyance she gets at Cameron.

"He asked me to share it with you, "

"Up to you!" Elena huffed in annoyance and then sat back in her chair. Don't care about Cameron who still staring at her and also don't care what Cameron will think about herself now.

"Are you really mad at me?" Cameron asked quietly.

"Gosh, Cam. What's wrong with you? We've never even been this close before. So stop being sweet." Elena answered without looking at Cameron in the slightest.

"You allowed me to do that," Cameron said.

"I clearly don't care about what just happened between us. Remember, Cam, our relationship is nothing more than rivals who don't even deserve to be called colleagues." Elena answered harshly. "Plus you're fighting for your college sweetheart who is also the mother of your daughter. So don't try to use me as your outlet. Understand?"

I don't know what's going through Cameron's mind right now, but he's definitely nodding his head quickly.

"Good. Now get out of my private office." said Elena.

After seeing Cameron leave, Elena cursed inwardly while shuffling the case files on her desk in annoyance. How could she be seduced by Cameron's sexiness which she just admitted now.

Until then the voice from his cell phone was clearly an important message with a red exclamation mark.

"We Ivy League aren't all jerks. Some of us really go there to study and not just to brag that we went to Harvard."

Elena snorted loudly as she read the message. The message Cameron had clearly sent her.

She was clearly still very upset with Cameron. More accurately, she felt very annoyed with hrself for always being one step behind Cameron.

Moreover, right now, Elena was too shocked by everything that had happened to her in the past two days. The revelation of a huge secret she's worked so hard to keep hidden for years, a bet that even she herself created, and her ability to help the man she hates so much in winning the heart of her college sweetheart.

This annoyance has all to do with Cameron Jones.

***

Today, after the incident this morning, Cameron and Elena did not speak to each other. And Cameron was the last person to leave the office that night.

About fifteen minutes ago Cameron looked up from his computer and saw Elena packing her briefcase, preparing to head back to her townhouse. Elena didn't even look at Cameron's office when she got home. Didn't even reply to Cameron's message this morning.

Things were even easier for Elena when the two of them weren't talking to each other. It is different with Cameron, who is confused because Elena can quickly change back to normal even though she knows that the man she is currently dealing with has the biggest secret she has.

"Stay away from me, Jones!" Elena muttered to herself. A grunt filled with anger that he still felt.

She still didn't understand why she was following the rules Cameron was playing with him. Ehem, in the context of touching and licking each other's lips.

Temporary madness.

Such was the defense that Elena had put forward to herself.

The stressful condition she was in, made Elena crazy for a moment. Made her lose her sanity for a few hours.

Elena took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly. Thankfully, now Elena was back in focus, and it was clear she wasn't going to let herself lose to Cameron.

The madness was going on right now it was all over. Elena has a career as well as a secret that is now threatening her life. Obviously she had to maintain that all so that the sacrifices she made were not in vain.

Elena checked the voicemail on her cell phone during the trip, and was to her surprise when she found a message from the perfect handsome George asking her for a drink tomorrow night.

A smile grew on her lips. She needed a diversion and George was that person.
