"...seems unconscious. Seems like she hit her head hard as she fell. I'm surprised she's still alive."
Azalea fluttered her eyes, she felt dazed and out of it. "Where am I? What happened?" Azalea tried to get up, but her head felt like a ton as she pulled herself up.
The nurse gasped, "Oh my, you should be laying down. You must feel uhh..."
"Like a piece of sh*t?" Azalea crudely finished the nurse's sentence. She truly did feel like a piece of trash, as she guessed she was in a hospital due to the blinding white lights and medicinal scents.
"Lilly, watch your language! You should exude elegance, not that of a young barbarian!" a middle-aged lady walked towards Azalea with a disappointed face.
Azalea was confused, who was Lilly? Why was she getting scolded by a lady she never met? Azalea was frustrated, she had no idea what just happened to her.
"I'm sorry ma'am, I have no idea who you are. You have no right to scold me." Azalea impatiently said.
The lady opened her eyes wide, "Wha-what do you mean? Did you hit your head that hard?" the lady pointed at Azalea and shook the nurse, "Does she have amnesia? How come she can't recognize her mother?" the nurse trembled and shook her head.
"I don't know ma'am. She seemed to be responding well, I-I'll go get the doctor for you." the nurse stuttered and scurried away to fetch the doctor.
"Mother? My mother is in England right now. You're not my mother." Azalea stated.
Azalea's "mother" looked furious, "You ungrateful brat, I've raised you all these years just to have you not recognize me?" she was so angry, she ran up to Azalea's side and raised her hand to slap her.
"Ma'am, please conduct yourself. The patient is still recovering." a doctor wearing a white coat gracefully walked in, alongside the nurse.
Azalea calmly asked the doctor, "What happened to me?"
The doctor pushed up his glasses and patiently answered, "You had an accident. You were walking across the road when you were hit by a bus. Your head was damaged during the impact."
Azalea opened her eyes wider and weakly shook the doctor, "Have you seen a 25-year-old male named Aziel? He was with me when the accident happened." Azalea was anxious, she felt Aziel protect her as the bus hit them both.
The doctor looked confused and cleared his throat, "No ma'am, according to the witnesses, you were the only one that was hit."
"She's delusional doctor, what can I do? I can't bring this ingrate home; she must be mentally insane!" Azalea's "mother" cried in anguish.
The doctor felt his patience running out, "Ma'am! It is normal that your daughter is experiencing a sort of temporary amnesia. And I say this again, please conduct yourself with dignity." the doctor ran his fingers through his hair and turned to Azalea.
"Ms. Lilly, my name is Ezekiel. I ran some tests, and you seem fine physically, although you do seem to have some memory loss, so please stay at the hospital for one more night."
Azalea only nodded and didn't say anything. She started to wonder if this was a dream. Aziel was definitely with her when the bus hit them. So why was the scenario different?
Suddenly, Azalea saw a strand of black hair. She reached for more strands of hair only to find that she had some red streaks in her hair. 'That wasn't there, what happened to my brown hair?' Azalea then looked at her hands. her once slightly tanned skin was now pale with pink undertones.
"Mr. Ezekiel-" Ezekiel, stopped Azalea mid-sentence.
"Please, you can call me Ezekiel."
Azalea concealed her impatience, "Then Ezekiel, do you have a mirror around?"
Ezekiel looked shocked and motioned for the nurse, the nurse understood his intentions and ran to grab a small mirror.
"Ms. Lilly, is everything alright?"
"Yes, I'm just a bit dizzy. I just have to check if my hair looks fine." Azalea looked straight at Ezekiel as she answered. Her abnormal situation couldn't be explained so she concealed any suspicious emotions.
"Here is the mirror!" the nurse panted and handed Azalea the mirror.
Azalea gave her thanks to the nurse and took a breath as she held up the mirror slowly. She looked at her reflection, she had ragged black hair that looked like she fought a bear, and skin that was crystal clear and reflected the stormy emotions she had. Her eyes almond shaped that gave off an innocent and playful aura. Her nose pointed and well defined, and slightly pink plump lips.
"Do you like what you're seeing? I made sure to give you a nice face." Azalea looked to the direction of the voice and saw a fluffy hamster floating in the air.
"What are you?" Azalea looked around the room, neither Ezekiel, the nurse or her "mother" seemed to look any different. "How come no one else can see you? Why are you speaking into my head?"
"Well, as you can see. I am your adorable guide. No one else can see me because they can't, only you can. I'm just magical that way, you can also speak to me with your thoughts too." the hamster exclaimed, he looked proud of himself.
"What guide?"
"Well clearly, you're in a different body. The crash that you experienced earlier caused you to be thrown into this world." the hamster started explaining.
"And in this new world, you have to complete a mission before you return home. Otherwise, you'll be stuck here and die."
Azalea's logical thinking left her body as she asked, "And what mission do I have to complete?'
"You have to unite Alexander and Jenny, as well as make sure they have a happy ending!" the hamster shook his hands and puffed his cheeks, looking quite cute.
"Alexander and Jenny? You mean that crappy romance drama? Hahaha, you mean I'm in 'My Heart Flutters for You'? That's impossible." Azalea felt her eye twitch as she reached to pinch the hamster's cheek. But it would also explain why Aziel wasn't seen at the crash with her.
"No! Stop pinching me, it hurts! You really were thrown into this world to unite the main couple. You can't do anything else to escape this world or mission!" the hamster pleaded and gave Azalea eyes that made her let go.
"You see? She's seeing ghosts now! Did you not see her speaking to air?"
"Ma'am, we'll have Lilly stay another night to watch over her, at the moment, you have nothing worry about. What is your name?" Ezekiel felt no patience left when he was talking to this lady.
"I'll have you know it's Jane Smith." Jane answered smugly.
Azalea felt the dizziness in her head increase tenfold as her vision blackened from the new information and annoying mother. Her eyes felt heavy, as her consciousness drifted off.
"Ms. Lilly!"
