Reflection

Earlier that day.

Ren ran as if she was trying to escape from something. She was panting for breath as if her life was depending on her. She knows that she was caught by Sabrina's glare and after seeing Yoake being taken, she has to alert Leaf about this. Gengar popped up behind her with the camera, as if he was also in danger of being caught.

"I have to call Leaf but where?" She said to herself as she looked around and tried to find a nearby alleyway to hide from the 'thing' that is trying to chase them.

"Gengar, follow me." She said to her Pokemon as she saw a dark alleyway nearby. The Pokemon nodded and followed her to the alleyway. Ren pinned herself to the wall as catches her breath.

She peaked to the corner of the alleyway and looked around trying to see if there were still people following them. As the close was clear, she gave herself a small rest by leaning on the wall and took a deep breath. After recovering, she looked at Gengar with a timid smile as she was glad that he was safe.

She pulls out her phone from her bag and begins to dial Leaf. She placed her phone near her ear as she patiently waited for Leaf to pick-up her call. She made a straight look at the wall in front as she was planning for something.

"Ren? What's the matter?" Leaf picked up the trainer's call and immediately asked her as if something concernable just happened.

"Yoake… Sabrina took him…" Ren alerted the trainer with a composed manner. Ren knows how important Yoake's safety is to Leaf and she has to address it with precaution.

"Where did she take him?" Leaf's heart sank after hearing those words from Ren. It's as if a nightmare comes true. She knows how dangerous Team Rocket is and she fears for the worst that will happen. She nearly shed a tear as she felt that she failed her duty and possibly losing the family she has left. She didn't want Ren to hear her grief so she took a deep breath and calmed herself.

"I don't know but I'm certain that it is either somewhere else or her gym. I can go to her gym to check." Ren insisted to Leaf.

"I know where she is." Leaf coldly said. Ren gasped after hearing those words from Leaf, flinched from a tone that she thought she wouldn't hear from a kind and hopeful person.

"Oh okay… Do you need any help?" Ren offered herself to help Leaf.

"No need. You can go home now. I'll take care of this." Leaf assured the trainer as she didn't hesitate to end the call and placed her phone back in her pocket.

She takes a deep breath as she covers her face and slowly slides it across her cheeks as if she was reevaluating her life. It was a nightmare but this nightmare will unleash a strain of anger that is locked within Leaf. A hellfire was brewing inside of her as 6 years of suppressed emotions were unleashed on a blitz tonight.

She takes her phone out once more and begins to dial a number that she wouldn't dare to call. She placed her phone near to her ear as she waited for the receiver to pick-up.

The receiver picks it up and Leaf immediately greets them.

"Hello? Yeah, it's your son." That was the first thing she said to the receiver, immediately ended the call and prepared herself on what she'll do later that night.

She went to the nearby Pokemon Center, headed to the Pokemon center and withdrew a Pokemon that had been dusting in the back storages of her Computer. She has collected nearly 500 Pokemon species, all in a small account in a vast interconnected storage that allows trainers, researchers and your average Joe to store their Pokemon.

She placed her hand on the withdrawing machine and a Pokeball dropped to her hand. She looks as if she remembers the life she had 6 or more years ago. A Leaf that wasn't yet born, a different name, ego or life. It was a reminiscing and regrettable life but it was all changed when she met the trainer that changed her life for the good, Red.

It's been a long time since she thought about Red. His absence for nearly 6 years after the disbandment of Team Rocket gave her an opportunity to use her new life for the greater good. He was her inspiration, a beacon of good within the Pokemon league despite it being a core of corruption and problems that plagued Kanto for many generations until he became the Champion.

His overthrowing the corruption of Kanto made a domino effect of modernization and mass industrialization throughout the country and caused an economic boom that is still bubbling to this day. He's a hero to the majority but those who are corrupt and greedy see him as a villain. He exiled himself as he knows the danger he has brought upon himself and to his friends.

She continued his legacy by keeping an eye on the Pokemon league but she only vows to protect Kanto, she was silent when Team Rocket rose back to power in Johto as she was busy taking care of the two Katsuragis and the League.

She looked at this Pokeball and reminded her of the past that she wants to hide but in these desperate times, she has to use it. She has to save the only family she has left. Red is missing and then there's Blue. She hasn't heard from him for nearly 2 years now. She doesn't know what happened to him but all she knows is that as soon as he became a Gym Leader, he traveled across the world and possibly never coming back.

She went back home and began to plan her entrance to the only place where Team Rocket is, The Silph Co. HQ.

"I hope you're enough to carry this mission." She said to the Pokeball as prepares her other Pokemon. She placed two of her most important Pokemon, this includes the Pokemon from her PC, in her belt while the rest is in her bag.

She zips her bag, removes her hat and places it on top of a head-mannequin, looks at the mirror and reflects to herself. She was about to center an area that is surrounded by her enemies, death is everywhere yet she is willing to sacrifice herself.

She threw her selfishness away a long time ago, she has a family, and that family is in danger in the hands of her biggest enemies. She took a deep breath, walked away from the mirror, locked her house and headed to the train station to get to the Iron City.

Later that day, she arrives at the Iron Heart. The grand station was filled with people and distraction and Leaf ignored all of it and went on to the Silph Co. HQ.

She looked at the tallest building in the city. It was a Pillar of corporatism that looms over the city. The most corrupt, lucrative and secretive company used to own this building, Silph Co. Even though they made the Master Ball, a classification of Pokeball that captures Pokemon in absolute. Giovanni, the former leader of Team Rocket, was about to use it to capture Mewtwo but they were interrupted by Red. It was a good thing he got there in time or Giovanni would be too powerful to be stopped.

"Some things never get old, huh?" Leaf talked to herself after looking at the skyscraper. She has a small smile printed on her face as the past reminiscents.

As people walked past, she left with no trace as if the wind carried her away like nothing.

The nighttime had begun and on top of the tower, Yoake and Claudine were talking to the commander as he revealed everything Team Rocket knows about his father.

"Seems to be…" Yoake said in utter shock as his mind was storming in rage with the spices of anger, confused and baffled stir through the storm of the trainer's brainy dish.

"A Twin? Who could it be? Where are they?" Yoake asked as he leaned toward them for answers.

"Well, you ar-" The commander was about to say something but the blonde woman interrupted them since she was alerted by corporate espionage as if an intruder entered the building.

"Sir…" The blonde woman said in a gasp.

Before he could ask her for a question the elevator door opened and they were shocked to see what just happened. Their spines are chill cold as if there's a feeling like a lick on the spine, slowly rising from their tips to their neck. Everyone's mouth is wide open as they see the horrors of a man falling to the ground and another one entering the scene.

It was a Leaf with a frustrated look and blood on her right hand.

"LEAF!?" Yoake cried as he was frightened to see his babysitter with blood on her hand, assuming that it was from the man. She slowly walked out of the elevator and looked at the commander.

The scenery felt like a scene from those horror movies when everything was fine and everyone was near to getting the answer of the mystery until the killer showed up and started a killer spree.

"And here I thought two disbandments was enough. But it seems that I have to disband this shitty group myself." She said in a cold manner as she pointed a Pokeball towards the commander.

"You're out of your mind." The commander told her.

"Yoake, Claudine. Come here." Leaf said in a monotone voice. The two followed her others since they knew that Leaf wouldn't dare to hurt them.

"Leaf…" Yoake softly said to her as he was scared from what's going on.

"Listen, I want you to enter the elevator and leave this place immediately. Call me once you get to the train station." Leaf told the trainer his plan to escape. Yoake didn't accept this and immediately argued with her.

"What? NO! I'm staying here with you. Don't be a hero Leaf…

I don't want to lose you."

Those words soften the cold trainer. She knows how important she is to him, his only family and friend. Losing her would be more problematic than it should be. She was about to tear for the realization that if she dies today, he wouldn't have a figure to take care of him and Team Rocket or malicious teams could just take this as an advantage and abuse him to use his Battle bond ability.

"Come on, be a hero. You're trying to be Red huh? Sacrificing yourself for the people you care the most. The Legendary Trainers never changed." He taunted her as he rolled his eyes after saying the last phrase from his mouth.

Leaf looked at him and decided to think for a moment. She gave a deep sigh and took something from her bag.

"Fine. You want him, right?" Leaf told the commander as she grabbed Yoake's hand.

"You have to get through me first." She said as she threw a Pokeball to her side and revealed it to be a Dragonite.

Leaf dragged Yoake to the Dragonite, Claudine followed as well. All three of them jumped on Dragonite's back as it smashed the glass window nearby. It charged to the skies and left the building immediately.
