Jade’s meeting

Udo was standing on top of the Giant gate, that stood in front of the clan. The moon was still out. It was 5 in the morning,he was waiting for Adisa and Jerome's return.

"Where the hell are you brats?" Udo said to himself.

Udo could hear someone creeping up from behind him.

He turned around to see Jade climbing the gate.

"The hell are you doing up?" Udo asked her.

"I could ask you the same thing." Jade said back.

Udo smirked a little bit. "I'm waiting for our friends to show up."

Jade took a seat while Udo stood and waited.

"How long have you been standing here Udo?" Jade asked.

Udo shrugged his shoulders. "Eh. Probably like. Idk. 2 hours or so."

"I see." Jade said.

"You ever find that Trover guy?" Jade asked.

Udo shook his head no.

Udo had his eyes set straight ahead. Looking in the dark forest direction.

"What if he's dead?" Jade asked.

Udo quickly fixed his gaze onto Jade.

"I doubt he's dead." Udo said.

"You sure aren't a good leader." Jade fixated.

"And you sure aren't the brightest." Udo snapped back.

"Believe me, I've made terrible decisions. Ones that have cost my comrades lives. I have my fair share….you child." Udo said.

Jade looked off in the distance and said nothing.

"Why the hell are you up?" Udo asked.

"Jack wants me to meet him around this time. I have to figure out what to say." Jade explained.

"Oh….makes sense." Udo said.

Jade jumped off the gate and headed off into the dark forest.

"I trust you Jade." Udo yelled over.

Jade turned around and put her thumb in the air,as she walked away.

Udo say back down on the gate and waited patiently.

Meanwhile Jade was running to the location were Jack told her to meet.

She was headed to a giant mountain that was near the Kani clan.

When reaching the top she saw a figure with a hoodie on.

Jade got closer to see the figure staring down a cliff.

"Jack?" Jade questioned.

The figure turned around to reveal light blue eyes glowing in the dark.

"Yea. It's me" Jack replied.

Jade felt relief spreading through her body.

She walked closer to Jack.

"What have you been up to?" Jade asked.

"Planning how to get him." Jack said.

"You have any new information?" Jack asked.

"Nope. We all are staying at the clan for right now." Jade replied.

Jack kicked a rock down the cliff.

"I need him to be alone. It will be easier to catch him."

Jade said nothing at all.

"The others are moving out in a week to go to on a mission to the dark clan. Adisa will stay behind, that's when you can make your move." Jade said.

Jade was trying her best to lie to Jack.

"Is that so?" Jack said.

"Very well then. I'll be attacking the clan in one week."

"This works out perfectly. Then we will get one of the power family's member." Jack said,in a exciting way.

"Come look down this cliff Jade." Jack said.

Jade walked over to Jack. Trying to keep her composer.

Jack wrapped his arm around Jade.

"You see down there?,what is,at the bottom of the cliff?" Jack asked.

Jade looked down to see nothing but darkness,a mist of darkness.

"Nothing Most likely the end or just keeps going." Jade said.

Jack tightened his arm around Jade.

"Oh trust me, there's an end. There's always a end to something."

"This cliff reminds me of life. We are born at the top. Then steadily start falling to the bottom of life."

"What do you think happens if we hit the bottom of this cliff?" Jack asked.

"We would die." Jade answered.

"Ahh. Correct Jade, that very good. But it's just like life. We all start at the top when being born. Then once we hit bottom we die." Jack said.

"Life is a very meaningless thing." Jack said.

Jade stared deep in the darkness.

"But we never know what's at the end of death. Maybe if we get past the darkness, then we can see." Jade said back.

Jack started laughing.

"Yes…..exactly right. But right now Jade we are all nosy near the top of our lives."

"Throughout our lives we follow rules and are suppressed from being free. It's almost like we are controlled."

"This mountain represents society and the people in charge." Jack said.

Jade turned her gaze from the pit all the way to the top of the huge mountain.

"Once this mountain falls….it catches up to the bottom of it. Which is death."

"You see…if the society we live in falls….death catches up to all of us and behind that fallen rubbish is the truth." Jack explained.

"Truth about what?" Jade asked in a uneasy way.

"The truth about who's pulling the plugs….and what's left after." Jack said.

Jade was so confused with what Jack was trying to say but she tried to work with it.

Jack removed his arm from around Jade and just stared into the pit.

"Do you have any questions for me? That's all I needed from you today." Jack said.

"He doesn't need to know that we are goin on the mission….so it's fine." Jade thought to herself.

"No, that will be all." Jade said.

"See you in two weeks." Jack replied.

Jade turned around and stared heading down the mountain in a frantic way.

She had never seen Jack act like that ever.

She was already down the giant mountain in a heartbeat. She made her way towards the clan now.

After some time passed she could still see Udo still on the gate.

He was on a chair with his head laid back, and sleep.

Jade quietly jumped on the gate and slapped Udo's head.

Udo jumped out of the chair in surprise. He went from panic to calm and sat back down.

"Did you tell him what I told you to say? And don't EVER slap my head." Udo demanded.

Jade had a little laugh. "Yea. I told him next week we are all leaving while Adisa stayed behind. Just as you said."

Udo let out a sigh of relief.

"Were you followed?" He asked.

"No. I checked around me while I was in the way and didn't sense any aura in the area." Jade claimed.

Udo looked down at his watch,it was getting lighter and lighter outside.

"They said they'd be here in the morning." Udo yelled out.

"By morning I don't think they meant before the sun was up." Jade followed up.

Udo started rolling back. He rolled back until he fell out of the chair and on landed on his back.

Udo started staring at the stars.

Jade lates down next to him also looking at the stars.

"I've always wanted to go home. The home I've always heard about." Udo said.

"Generation after generation….we all learn the same story. But I know it's all a lie." Udo followed up.

"What are you talking about?" Jade asked.

"The stuff they teach us at our schools here. At least people like us."

"About our history Jade." Udo said with an annoyed voice.

"Oh. Yea,my father would teach me and my brother the truth when we got home." Jade said.

"Yea…my mother did the same when I was younger." Udo said.

Jade turned her gaze from the stars on to Udo.

"Your mother?" Jade asked.

Udo nodded his head.

"What happened to her? If I can ask that." Jade said.

"No it's fine."

"When I was sixteen the Kani clan used to have an army. But someone in the army set my mom up. And it lead to her death." Udo explained.

"So I empathize your pain, because I've went through the same thing."

"You can never know someone else's pain u less you've experienced it yourself." Udo said.

Jade just stared at Udo. Then looked back at the stars.

Jade opened her mouth to speak.

"When my father was alive he told me of that when we die our souls become a star." Jade said.

"I'll agree with that. Each start carries a soul. That's why you'll catch me every now and then, talking to them." Udo said.

Both of them just stared up looking at the stares.

There was movement all of a sudden.

Udo jolted his head up to see Adisa right in front of him.

"When the hell-nvm." Udo said.

"Hey captain." Adisa's yelled out.

Jerome jumped on the gate and stared at Jade.

Jerome switched his gaze and opened his mouth to talk to Udo.

"Sorry about not answering your calls,Captain." Jerome said.

Udo got to his feet and patted both of them on their heads.

"No don't do that please." Adisa quickly said.

"I'm just glad you two are ok." Udo explained.

"Adisa and Jerome's aura are off the charts…Jerome and Adisa may be able to move up in the ranks of the troops now." Udo thought to himself.

Adisa turned his head and greeted Jade.

Jade waved in a awkward way.

"Eh….still has anti social things." Adisa commented.

"You never even had a girlfriend." Jade said back.

A giant vain appeared on Adisa's head. "What makes you say that?" Adisa said in a annoyed voice.

Udo grabbed both of them by their heads and started walking in the clan.

Jerome rolled his eyes and followed quickly.

As Udo was dragging Jade and Adisa across the ground, they where still arguing.

"Your just upset your damn breath stinks." Adisa yelled.

"Oh yea? Maybe your just upset because you've never been with anyone." Jade snapped back.

"Will you two shut up?" Jerome said.

Both of them stopped as Udo kept walking towards his building while dragging them.

"I can't stand kids these days." Jerome said.

"Your only 5 years older then me…your just 20 Jerome." Adisa whispered.

"What was that you little shits?" Jerome asked.

"N-nothing!" Adisa and Jade, said at the same time.

There was a moment of silence between everyone.

Everyone couldn't help but laugh, everyone but Jerome.

"You guys crack me up." Udo said.

They all walked in the street and headed to Udo's building.

The night was young for them.

Laughing as though they had just got from having a party.

Udo,Jade, and Adisa we're all inside the building now.

Jerome had went home to see his little sister.

"Well For the mean time, you guys get some sleep." Udo said.

Before Udo could continue his words, he could see Adisa already passed out on the bed.

They were in the basement where all the little kids used to sleep.

But the clan was rebuilt now and they all had returned home.

"Must have been working hard." Jade said.

Udo nodded in agreement.

"I do have to think you though. For finding those kids some homes." Udo said.

"Oh it was nothing. The least I could do was give them something I took." Jade answered.

Udo had a smile on his face.

"You have a goodnight now." Udo said.

Jade sat down in bed thinking about her father.

She ended up drifting off into sleep.
