Miya?!

This situation wasn't what I had expected it would be... At least Miya doesn't go hostile all of the sudden as she was still being herself at the moment.

Well not really herself as all that Miya does might be controlled by that damn Rozett monster.

Should I attack the Rozett? That was on my mind as I would be in trouble if the Rozett stats weren't that great compared to Miya as I am sure Miya would be able to beat me up if my stats scaling copy the Rozett stats.

As from what I remember from the game, the Rozett was a level 25 monster. The stats were pretty average as there are only two of the stats that are quite high. That was the Intelligence and Resistance Stats which were both in the range of 20.

But realizing that this was the updated version of the Chronicle Legacy, the stats might have changed a little bit. It might be possible as even the Fogriun had some upgrade compared to what in the game before.

Still, I don't think it will change that much... only a slight.

Maybe I should knock Miya out first when we arrive there, it should solve all of the problems easily but still, I didn't think that it would be that easy. I'm sure that Miya would know what my intention was and easily dodge it.

As I was still thinking about it... Miya suddenly talked to me.

"Hey, Yei?"

"Umm... What." I said.

"I have been meaning to ask you, how did you know the Fogriun was there before. As I didn't even realize their presence at all."

'Oh! It's just my instinct... that's all." I simply replied to Miya.

"Really? that's some superb instinct you have then." Miya paused a bit as she then said, "I know you're helping your friend but are you an adventurer?"

"No, I'm not an adventurer at all... Just ordinary people."

"Well I thought you're one, I am quite surprised at your strength... but for a girl like you to learn to fight, there must be a reason for it right?"

Should there even be a reason? Was it wrong to be a girl and know how to fight but... Miya herself was a girl and for her to ask me that kind of question. It does mean that she herself had a reason why she learned to fight, that's why Miya was hoping to find someone that might go through the same hardships as her.

"Why do you ask this all of a sudden?"

"Sorry about that, I understand that you probably don't want to talk about that as I am basically a stranger to you."

"No- No... You got it wrong here. I could tell but I just wanted to know why you asked me that question."

"Owh I see.." Miya paused, "Well it's kinda rare to see a girl like me that can fight, usually it was all male. I just wanted to know how you handle it."

Handle what? Expectation, the bad word...

Still, it was something new to me... Does that really mean that there's not that much girl that could fight? Well, I think I remember the look that the people give me when I say I was on level 60. Maybe part of it wasn't the level, after all, it was because I was a female and was on level 60.

....

But still, what should I answer Miya... I completely didn't know what she was talking about. Well, I suppose I just need to say something neutral.

"Honestly, just keep doing what you wanted to do."

"I wish I could be like that but because I have a stupid status... I wasn't allowed to do what I wanted."

Hearing that, I realized something. Is Miya a noble daughter? Well, Estella does sound like a noble family name when I tried to say it in my mind.

"Hold on a minute! Are you a noble Miya?" I asked that question.

"Kinda..." She said that in such a low voice.

"What do you mean by that?"

"It's pretty complicated and takes time to explain but I am sure to tell you after all of this is done."

"There's no need for you to do that..."

If Miya said that it was complicated, I think I should stay away from it. As I hate complicated stuff and besides we wouldn't be stuck together for a long time... this team-up will only last until I have gotten the Flower of Eve.

I found Miya's behavior gotten a little bit weird as if she was way too open to talk about something personal with me. As I basically have no one to her... We're just acquaintances or still strangers.

Bet this might be the influence of the Rozett parasite, as it will alter someone's behavior.

"Let's drop the subject for now, are we there yet Miya... I feel like we've been walking for almost an hour already."

"Not that far now, just a few more steps and then we will arrive there."

"Well if you say so..."

As we walked, I realized that there's indeed a lot of dead wolves around here. There are also some of the Fogriun corpses... It seems like these monsters had died a few days ago, must be Miya doing as she was the only one that's here.

Seeing that I realized that my stats scaling had been activated, does that mean I already enter the Rozett domain? Why wouldn't Miya told me about-

I forgot, she was under the influence of the parasite. Of course, she wouldn't tell me... This Rozett monster might be planning to use its parasite on me when I was unaware.

Brilliant but sadly it would not work as I know it was around me. I think this might be a chance for me as well. Because all I needed to do was to find where the Rozett was and kill it instantly... That way I wouldn't need to fight Miya and the Rozett at once.
