Grocery Store

Sightseeing Gria Town does seem nice but I can't forget that I need to buy supplies for my adventure tomorrow. As I could see the sun was about to fall already, I better hurry, or the marketplace will close. It closes around 6 pm only if this was indeed Chronicle Legacy. If not, it might be open at night as well...

"I don't know much about the town, but I wanted to buy some supplies first so could you help me with that?"

"Sure, just follow me... I will show you around the marketplace."

Elina then grabbed my hand and dragged me along the way. The moment she touches my hand, I feel something... Don't know what but maybe it was because I never held a girl's hand before besides my mother that is. Still, I think it was not that, I just can't figure it out.

As I was busy trying to solve it, Elina suddenly talked to me. It catches me by surprise so half of what she already said I asked her to repeat because I didn't listen to it at all.

"You did this before to Yei... Is there something on your mind?"

"Nothing to be concerned about, it's just I was fascinated by this town." There's no way I tell Elina what I was thinking about.

"Gria Town is indeed a beautiful town..." Elina paused for a bit, "Speaking about town, where do you come from Yei?"

Damn, that's a hard question. I could probably just mention one of the towns inside the game but after knowing that Neus, one of the faiths in this game doesn't even exist. I need to think through this, can't just say random things to Elina. As it would make me sound like someone that doesn't belong to this world at all.

"Uh... Actually, I came from a place far away from here."

"Really!? Where are you from then? I wanted to know the name of that place."

This wasn't looking good at all, I thought Elina would just drop off the subject. But it seems like she really wanted to know it. I suppose I had no other choice but to make a believable lie so that Elina would stop asking me this question.

"Elina, listen... it's not like I don't want to tell you where I came from but I just had a bad past in that place. Which makes me not want to remember about that place at all... you understand me right?"

"Sorry, I do not know that..."

"That's fine, let's just focus on buying my supplies or you could repeat what you're trying to say in the first place."

Elina might start to feel a bit guilty I think. Doesn't want to make her feel that way but I had no other choice. One day I will tell her the truth but for now, it's better that I keep a secret that I'm not from this world at all.

If people know, they might think that I am somewhat a hero or something like that. At least that is what the view of the people's world is just like the anime protagonist that had been isekai does.

"Oh, I was just asking what supplies you wanted to buy... it's food, potions, or some weapon?"

"I don't know, what's your thought with this kind of budget? What's the stuff that I could buy?"

25 silver coins weren't that much. If I recall correctly, it could only buy one health potion in the game before. But I don't know how much that will change as I'm in this world right now. So Elina's input on this matter was somewhat important to me.

"You're right, it wasn't that much. You could buy a weapon but only some lower-grade ones so I wouldn't recommend it. The best you could buy with that kind of budget will be food and potions..."

"I see, food and potions are much more necessary rather than buying weapons. Besides I already have a dagger with me as my main weapon."

"You're quite lucky Yei, I happen to know shops that sell those things you need for a reasonable price."

"That's good, lead the way then."

"No problem..."

With that Elina begins to drag me again. Well, I couldn't simply tell her to stop as she was helping me right now, if not for her... I might have already been lost inside the town.

After I had been dragging for almost half an hour already, we finally arrived at the shop that Elina mentioned before. This particular shop design was nice and appealing almost like... yes I was right after all. This shop does sell food, as the hanging metal sign says Ana's Grocery Store. I could also begin to smell food already by just being near this place.

We both enter the store, we're greeted by a mature lady that was wearing a red kerchief.

"Welcome! Oh... Elina didn't expect you to drop by here today."

"I'm here not about the official matter but I was here because of my friend. She wanted to buy some food supplies before she heads out to the field of wildflower tomorrow."

"Oh my!? Isn't the field quite dangerous right now... even the guards don't want to enter and this friend of yours wanted to go there? There must be a reason for it right as one doesn't simply enter there anymore?"

"She is actually helping Tim get the Flower of Eve."

"That makes sense but are you sure your friend here could do it? By the look of it, she was like level 5 or less."

"You actually will not believe this but Yei here is actually level 60, I know I was quite surprised as well but I believe her as she had saved me from the wolves before."

The older woman looked surprised just like both Elina and Tim did before. Is level 60 really that rare? It might be and I hope I will hit that soon enough...
