Chapter 14: The night of a Succubus

Ethan groggily opened his eyes and looked around. The room was dimly lit, the only source of light coming from a small lamp on a nightstand next to the bed. He could hear the sound of crickets chirping outside and the gentle rustling of the tree leaves in the breeze. He sat up, rubbing his eyes and trying to shake off the sleepiness.

Ethan walked into Charlotte's room and saw her fast asleep at her desk, surrounded by books and papers. He could see the pain and determination etched into her face, even in sleep. He walked over to her.

He decided not to wake her up as he watched her sleep. Upon examining the books on her desk, he realized that she was not studying new healing spells, but rather researching ways to improve her current ones and avoid causing pain to those she healed.

"It seems that she actually wants to become competent," He thought to himself.

As Ethan opened the door, he was greeted by a sprawling field of grass.

Ethan walked towards the beautiful woman in the field, taking in the sights and sounds around him. The grass was a vibrant green and swayed in the gentle breeze, while the sun shone brightly in the sky. In the distance, he could see rolling hills and a bright blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds.

Ethan walked up to the woman, mesmerized by her beauty. She was dressed in a stunning white dress that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. Her long golden hair was styled in loose waves, cascading down her back like a shining waterfall. Her deep blue eyes seemed to sparkle with an inner light, and she looked at Ethan with a kind and gentle expression, as if she knew him well. Her presence was calming and peaceful, making Ethan feel at ease as he approached her.

"There you are, my love." She said.

"Who are you?" Ethan responded.

"Come here for a second."

"Shit alright." He said without hesitation.

She leaned in for a kiss but Ethan woke up.

He saw a succubus being held back by Charlotte and Lucy.

Ethan approached the succubus, who was wearing a revealing red dress that hugged her curves tightly. The dress had slits up the sides that showed off her long, shapely legs, and she was wearing matching high heels. The succubus had a seductive expression on her face and dark hair styled in a sleek, straight bob that fell just past her shoulders. Her eyes were a piercing blue. The succubus also had two horns on the top of her head that were curved and pointed, resembling those of a ram. The horns were a dark shade of brown and seemed to be made of a hard, smooth material, possibly bone or a type of hardened keratin. They were adorned with small, intricate designs and patterns etched into their surface, giving them an almost decorative appearance. Charlotte and Lucy were trying to grab onto the succubus, but Ethan pushed them aside and allowed the succubus to take him.

"Is that a succubus?" Ethan asked.

"Nah it's a fucking old grandma- no shit sherlock," Blake said walking up to Ethan.

"She was trying to steal your life force so Charlotte and I stopped her," Lucy said.

Ethan determined pushed Charlotte and Lucy aside and confronted the succubus directly. She latched onto him.

"What the fuck bro?"

"She may be a succubus and she may be killing me but it's worth bro trust."

"Ethan, what are you doing? You can't just let a succubus drain your life force like that!" Charlotte exclaimed, her face filled with concern.

Blake chuckled to himself as he came up with an idea. He had a sly grin on his face as he whispered his plan to the others. His eyes sparkled with mischief as he outlined his strategy, clearly enjoying the thought of outwitting the succubus. The others listened attentively, nodding along as Blake spoke, their expressions serious as they considered his plan.

"Ethan the succubus has a dick," Blake said

"Deadass?" Ethan asked.

"Deadass."

Ethan broke free of the succubus and looked like he needed therapy. He stumbled backward, looking dazed and confused. He was covered in sweat and his eyes were wide with fear. He looked like he had just run a marathon, or maybe as if he had just survived a roller coaster ride from hell. He was panting heavily, his chest heaving up and down as he tried to catch his breath. He looked like he was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, his whole body trembling as he clutched at his chest and tried to compose himself. Despite the seriousness of the situation, it was hard not to laugh at the sight of Ethan looking so completely and utterly frazzled.

Blake grabbed the cup of water and approached the succubus. He lifted the cup and splashed the contents at her, but to his surprise, it had no effect. The succubus simply stood there, looking at him with a confused expression as the water dripped off her body.

"Is that holy water?" The succubus asked.

"Probably not..."

"You FUCKING DUMBASS!" Ethan yelled.

Ethan quickly grabbed Lucy's wand before she could reach it, his eyes determined as he held it out in front of him. He knew that they needed to find a way to defeat the succubus, but he also knew that he didn't want to get hurt in the process.

"Hand me my wa-"

"Absolutely not. Not tryna get burned right now."

The succubus huffed and rolled her eyes as she walked out of the room. "I can't believe I wasted my time on these buffoons," she muttered to herself. She was completely fed up with the group's foolishness and lack of understanding.

"Well that was anti-climatic," Blake said.

"Are you complaining?" Ethan asked.

"Nah but I'm not going to lie if she didn't steal lifeforce I would have fallen for the trap. Like bro did you see her? She was a baddie."

"Didn't you say she had a dick?"

"Oh, I lied," Blake laughed.

"Ugh, will you two just give it a rest already?" Lucy yelled, throwing her hands up in frustration. "I can't believe you're still going on about that succubus. She's gone now, and that's all that matters."

"Yeah, seriously," Charlotte chimed in, scowling at Ethan and Blake. "Do you guys ever think about anything other than yourselves and your petty arguments? It's so annoying."

Ethan and Blake looked sheepish at the rebuke from the girls and reluctantly agreed to drop the subject. "Fine, fine," Ethan grumbled. "We'll talk about something else."

"Good," Lucy said, relieved.

" I found us a cheap magic teacher. Lucy isn't the best teacher and the girls can run the chocolate business while we go tomorrow."

Lucy and Charlotte agreed and nodded.

"You're not upset that we called you a bad magic teacher?"

"I'm a world-class mage, not a teacher."

Ethan and Blake sat on the couch, discussing their magic abilities and what they hoped to be strong in. Ethan leaned back, running his hand through his hair as he talked animatedly about wanting to master fire magic. Blake nodded along, laughing as he shared his own desire to be skilled in healing magic.

"So, what kind of magic do you think we're gonna be strong at?" Ethan asked.

"I'm hoping for something cool, like water magic or lightning magic," Blake replied.

"Nah bro I call lightning you get water. Wait why do you even want water?"

"Bro I don't think you understand how powerful water magic is. I can literally trap people in the water and drown them."

"Oh shit, I really need to shave," Ethan said, running his hand over his slightly noticeable beard.

"Yeah, me too," Blake agreed. "But I guess we're out of luck since there aren't any shavers in this world."

"I guess we'll just have to go old-school and use a razor blade," Ethan suggested.

Ethan and Blake seemed to be easily distracted and constantly changing the subject of their conversation. They would go from discussing their magic abilities to discussing their appearance, and then back to magic again. They seemed to have a never-ending stream of thoughts and ideas, and they talked at a fast pace, barely pausing to take a breath.

As the two boys continued to chatter on, Charlotte and Lucy made their way back to bed. They were both exhausted from the events of the day and were ready for a good night's rest. The girls climbed into their cozy beds and snuggled under their blankets, letting out a contented sigh as they closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep.

"Nah bro you don't understand the demon queen is gonna be light work."

"You better hope that you can use magic because you're useless."

"What do you mean bro I am a shotgun archer!"

"That literally defeats the whole purpose of being an archer. Like, learn how to aim bro."
