Two days had passed since Cassius had dispatched the dark elves to track down the Black Star's hideout.
True to their stealthy nature, they had combed through the town's underbelly, tracing whispers and odd behaviors until, finally, they had their mark.
Kaldor, the commander of the dark elf scouts, returned to Cassius with the news. "We've located the hideout," he reported, kneeling.
"It's a two-story building near the market square. It looks like an ordinary trading post, but our surveillance confirms that it's the hub for the Black Star."
Cassius leaned back, resting a hand on the pistol holstered at his side. "A trading post in the middle of town? Bold of them."
"They've stationed guards outside, and we expect there may be more inside. There's no sign of magical wards, but we suspect traps or protection spells on the upper floor. One of the leaders is likely there."
"One of them?"
