Chapter 3: Old scars.

After dinner Melissa told Aunt Marry about her plans for the next day. She had to go to hospital for the tests to check if she was compatible with her mother in order to get a matching bone marrow.

"Aunt Marry, I will not be taking the kids with me when I go to hospital tomorrow and will and see my grand mother." "Okay Mel. What time will you be going there?" "In the morning aunt Marry, my appointment is at nine."

As soon as they were done talking, aunt Marry went up stairs to help the kids bath and go to bed. After spending some time in the living room, Melissa went up to say good night to the kids then went to the master bedroom. She then went into the bathroom for a relaxing shower. She needed it after the long drive from Blooemfontein.

After the long shower, she went straight to bed and dozed off very quickly. She had a dreamless night due to how tired she was.

She was woken up by the sound of the alarm soumd from her phone. When she checked the time it was 6:30 in the morning. She got out of bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up before going down stairs.

She found aunt Marry busy preparing breakfast for the five of them before the kids woke up. "Morning aunt, what are we having this morning?" " Pan cakes with mushroom sauce." "Yummy, can I help you with something."

"Nope, I'm almost done just get yourself some coffee."

After having her breakfast, she went to wake the kids up and help them freshen up. She then let's them have their breakfast and she got ready to go to the hospital.

"Uncle John, I am not sure what time I will be done so I have to trouble you to wait for me."

"Don't worry madam, I will be with you in there. You will need someone with you all the way. So I will keep you company."

"Thanks uncle John I really need someone with me. I dont even know the type of tests they will be doing in there. "

With that they drove in silence to the hospital. Since it was a private hospital, she found a nurse waiting for her and helped her fill in all kinds of forms before being taken to the laboratory to draw out her blood.

After her blood was drawn, Melissa went to a coffee shop near the hospital. She felt like having some coffee after what she did that day. She ordered two coffees to go for herself and uncle John.

While waiting for her coffee she felt like someone was looking at her.

She then turned to see if her intuition is correct and her eyes came to land on the face that she did not wish to see again I this lifetime. She can remember the ferocity in those eyes the last time she looked it to them. She quickly turn back and act as if she never saw that face. Her heart was beating very fast at that time and wished for her order to be done as quickly as possible.

As soon as her order was done she collected her coffees and made a bee line to the door. "Flip!" She exclaimed in her mind. The man that she was trying to avoid was right at the door blocking her way out. "Excuse me master, you are blocking the door, May I pass please."

She said that with a cold alienating voice. "Mel... Melissa can I..." "Sorry sir please move out of the way." She cuts him off and squizes past him and rushed to the car.

She hands one coffee to uncle John and then sits back and try to calm down. " Are you okay madam?" Uncle John asks as he saw how flustered she was at the time. " I am fine uncle, I just saw someone that caused my nightmare.
