Swindling Swindlers I [FIRST DRAFT]

A carriage filled with decorations is moving about the luxurious street of Orario. Far from the smelly and dirty poverty of the slums. The Entertainment district of Orario is filled with luxurious mansions with unique designs and bombastic showmanship the deeper you go. Well-kept streets and familia guards and mercenaries roam the street to keep crime. Or so Judas thought. But in truth, Judas knows deep inside those mansions, there are nothing but lies. Those guards and mercenaries? They're not there to keep criminals out, but to kick out beggars who unfortunately found themselves in. Clean streets? They just do it to please customers. Otherwise, how would the rich upper class enjoy themselves when some lizards stank up the streets?

'At least back in my world...' eh? What was it like back then? It matters not, this world is unfair to the powerless. 'It also proves that the gods in this world aren't so omnipotent or all-knowing'. The gods of this world, instead of improving lives, made it harder for the 90% of people trying to scrape by. Not only they created a special class known as "adventurers" and even gave them special privileges. They did not even bother to help the poverty-stricken slums.

"Ahhhh~ A den of liars and thieves! Don't you feel at home already my dear daughter Mercedes?" Judas said dramatically as he goes in for a hug.

*clap*

A crisp sound of a slap echoed within the carriage. Judas was slapped by nonother than Syr Flova.

"What could you mean by that "Judas Iscariot"? Also, don't ever touch me."

Syr said as she slid open a folding fun to hide her irritation. Judas can still see a bulging vein though.

"I told you, my dear daughter! You should call me your Father, Edmund Carventes. Right? My son-in-law Maximilian."

Maximilian, aka Ryuu Lyon, was too busy ruminating to even respond. Judas sighed.

"What great partners did I find."

"Hmm? Do you have complaints? I'll have you know, this is the first time I got kidnapped on a date! And I can't say I like it! Although, R-ryuu does look good."

Judas laughed sadly, this "girl" sure is cheeky.

"Oh, you think this is a date? Enjoy yourselves then, all you have to do is act according to the plan."

"We understand. As long as Syr is safe, and so are the kidnapped girls rescued, We will follow through. But make no mistake Lupin, whatever you are planning, we will also stop it."

Judas smiled and nod. This is the right choice after all. Ryuu Lyon will be the spotlight, while the thief steals everything under their noses.

"I'm glad you can agree. Do you love the dress and suits? it was quite expensive."

Judas asked casually. Of course, he stole it.

"You have an odd taste, although it does look good."

Syr was wearing a flowery decorated dress and Ryuu was wearing a suit and a half mask. While Judas was wearing a suit and a cane meanwhile a top hat on his side. In his face was a monocle. He was disguised as a clean old nobleman with red hair.

"You know, it's amazing how you can disguise yourself to this extent. Perhaps your identity as Lupin Hood is also fake, my dear Father."

Judas was getting creeps. This girl is too perceptive. If this girl wasn't "her" he would have long called her a demon.

"Oh? I could say the same to you, my dear Daughter. Hmm? We're finally here. Prepare yourselves."

Before Syr could respond as if in a queue the carriage halted. A knock came on the door. It was Jack, like others, he was wearing a butler tail suit. He seemed to be worried about something.

"My lords. We are here. Some problems though, the guards were confused when I gave them "That"."

Jack was talking about the fabricated platinum VIP card.

"Just "Act" according to the plan. Ladies first if you may."

Judas then nudges the two "Betrothed" out. Walking outside and carrying an expensive-looking gem cane he spread out his arms dramatically and then Put on a top hat.

"My two lovely children, please enjoy yourselves. Let your Father deal with the pests."

Walking in the direction of the receptionists. He then said.

"Call my dear Brother, Terry here."

"Terry Cervantes" was walking back and forth in his office in distress. Not long ago, he received a letter by unknown means. Telling him that "His beloved best friend that is also your half-brother" was coming from Santorio Vega was coming to check on how he is doing.

Terry Carventes was sweating like crazy. Because he isn't "Terry" at all! He is Ted! His "half-brother" decided to come today. At first, he pinned his hope that it was fake. Until the letter seal identification came. It came from the Cervantes family stamp!

Ted was so sure that Terry Cervantes did not have any family until now! That bastard "Even in death, he gives me trouble!"

"Calm down Ted, just make sure he doesn't know! That's right! Just pretend like always!"

A knock came on the door. And a woman came in. It was Shakti Varna.

"Someone is looking for you. It's your "Half-Brother" Edmund Carventes. After knowing you for years, I didn't know you still have ideas of "Family". You even gave him a platinum card? Deal with it yourself."

Shakti immediately left the paling "Terry Carventes". Just as he was about to reap the fruit of his endeavors, he felt it was about to get snatched away.

"Ah! Finally my dear brother Terry!"

Judas immediately hugged and kissed his "Brother" Terry on the cheeks as he saw him.

"How are you? Oh how much I have missed you After all these years we have been separated! How about you brother?"

*cough* "I have been fine brother! Although a bit busy... So I may."

Ted expected his "Half-Brother" to look like him. But not this much! They're practically twins! What half-brother!

"Oh Terry, you have changed a lot since coming to Orario! Usually, you'd run right at me! Even call me Big Brother! Oh, look what I have brought you! Your niece and her fiance! Look at how much they have grown! Mercedes come here! Greet your uncle properly!"

Ted still "acting" with shaky legs look at the two arrivals and greeted them.

"Hello, Uncle! Do you remember me? Please show us around!" Syr said as she curtsies.

"Ohoho look how much you have grown! Why don't you come inside? You must be Maximilian! What a glamorous boy!" Ted said as clapped as he laid his eyes on the most beautiful girl he laid his eyes on.

"That's right, Terry. Why don't you show us around? It looks like you made yourself a name in Orario! I couldn't be more proud!"

Judas was so proud, to think this bastard is so easy to fool. Although Syr's performance is top-notch, he thought this bastard would at least resist. As expected of her "Charm".

Ted thought that Maximilian looked familiar but is too busy thinking about how to get rid of his "Half-Brother" right away.

Judas said casually as he was winning a game of poker while cheating. It has been the third round.

"Did such a thing happen big brother? Ohoho" Ted nervously replied

"Yes, you've surrounded yourself with ilk. And women...?"

Hearing those words, "Terry's" friends could only lower their heads in the face of "Big Brother". Judas thinks these are all swindlers as well.

"Is there anything wrong with that brother?..."

"Yes! Back then, all you cared about was making valis! Now you seem to have changed so much! Remember what you like to say? To never let snakes in or they might bite!"

Of course, Terry never said any of those. Judas was just enjoying himself. Perhaps this is also the tendency of the thief's pathway acting.

"Father! Here we are."

Syr and Ryuu came into the VIP room alone.

"Oh look, they're finally here! Why don't you play with my uncle here while I go to the restroom."

Ted and the others sighed in relief. Judas couldn't help but laugh. They do not know they're in much deeper trouble now than before.

"Now enjoy yourselves. Father will just do something real quick!"

Judas was in the restroom along with Jack. He then asked.

"Houdini is in position." Judas' divination said so as well. Now they can start the Drama.

"Once the elf starts making trouble, we move."

Ryuu Lyon is a lot like a Pokemon, you throw her towards enemies and blow away the enemies. As expected of my chosen partner. Pokemon Ryuu Lyon beat injustice saikyou!
