Unrest

A voice startled him, Rex turned to see Shamrock staring at him displeased.

"I was looking for you," Rex said, trying to be calm.

"With you peeking like a thief?" said Shamrock flatly.

"I want to invite you to fight!"

shouted Rex. Cloe who was inside was shocked, as were the two men who were talking earlier, they looked at each other.

"There seems to be an intruder," said the pale-skinned man.

The man with pale skin mumbled something, a black orb like a portal appeared, he entered quickly and disappeared as the orb slowly disappeared.

Cloe froze for a moment seeing this but she heard Rex's voice screaming outside, she ran fast to get out.

"You want to invite me to fight when Nesa was kidnapped?" asked Shamrock sarcastically.

"Right, I want to avenge my defeat first," said Rex, his voice shaking.

"That doesn't make sense," Shamrock chuckled.

He walked over to Rex. Rex caught his breath, he didn't want to be caught if he was nervous.

"I ask again, what are you doing here?"

Rex swallowed his saliva, he was intimidated by Shamrock's gaze.

"Rex!"

Cloe shouted from the other end of the hall.

"I looked for you everywhere, you are here," said Cloe breathlessly.

"What are you doing here? You really want to challenge the higher-ups of Shamrock again?" whispered Cloe.

Shamrock backed away at Cloe's words.

"I'm sorry Shamrock, he's out of his mind to challenge you to a fight again."

Cloe lowered her body, she forced Rex to bow apologetically.

"Go, I don't have time to serve you."

"Find Nesa if you really have a lot of time,"

Shamrock closed his bedroom door with a bang. Cloe heaved a sigh of relief at the unsuspecting Shamrock of them. Cloe pulled Rex away from the room.

"I told you it was a crazy plan didn't I!" said Cloe annoyed with Rex's expression that looked flat.

"Wow you really are crazy, you wouldn't even think about me if Shamrock found out would you?" Cloe pointed at Rex's face.

"The important thing is not to get caught, right?" said Rex lightly.

Cloe was really annoyed by Rex's mediocre reaction, if he could tear Rex he would tear him finely.

Cloe rolled her eyes in disbelief at what Rex had just said, she really had no heart.

Cloe swore in her heart, she shouldn't expect anything from Rex.

The man heaved a sigh of relief, he was so afraid that someone would find out that he was hiding in Shamrock's private room.

"Is anyone coming?"

Shamrock looked at the messy looking chair.

"That's right sir, Loz's subordinates came here early. They said that Denux had kidnapped other than Nesa,"

"Who?"

"He didn't know but he said his hair was yellow,"

Shamrock's face changed, his brows furrowed, he looked at his subordinates.

"It seems we are of the same mind, sir, if she is from the topaz order,"

Shamrock chuckled, he didn't expect anyone related to vampires other than him, let alone the topaz order.

"Does he want to repeat the betrayal?"

"What sir?" asked his subordinate as he felt Shamrock say something.

"Oh, it is okay,"

Shamrock waved his hand. He whistled happily as he walked into the next room, a room full of books. He sat on the chair, his gaze straight ahead. He smiled, then burst out laughing.

"I will dispel my suspicions,"

"Just you wait you order topaz,"

Rex was surprised to see his mother calling him, even more so with a serious face.

Cloe looked at Rex, he felt awkward towards Tuscany.

"You go first," Rex said to Cloe.

Cloe nodded, she walked away from Rex and Tuscany, she had to quickly tell what she got in Shamrock's room.

"You met Nesa before she came here, right?" said Tuscany after Cloe left.

"Yes in the human world,"

"Did you see anything strange?"

"What do you mean by weird?" Rex asked confused.

"Whatever that is,"

Rex looked at his mother strangely but he tried to remember his meeting with Nesa.

"Nothing suspicious,"

"Remember well,"

Tuscany gripped Rex's shoulder, he glared at Rex. Rex was surprised by his mother's attitude, this didn't look like his mother at all.

"Why are you asking that? Is there a problem?" Rex lowered his mother's hand gently, he was worried by her mother's change in attitude.

"Nothing," Tuscany shook his head, he sighed in frustration.

"You don't have a relationship with Nesa, do you?"

Rex was taken aback by his mother's question. "Why do you ask that? During this time, mother never cared that I was friends with anyone,"

"I just heard a rumor that you like Nesa, mom just wants to know. Is that weird?"

"No, I have nothing to do with Nesa," Rex said firmly.

Rex was silent, he felt his mother was in a bad mood, he didn't want to argue with his mother because he himself also had problems to solve.

Rex asked his mother, he wanted to know if her mother knew that Nesa was kidnapped by a vampire.
