Part Five

All preparations are done. The carriages are fully loaded as well. Horses and my squadron are all set to go. I went to my horse, Shir.

"You ready to go back?" I talked to the horse; this is a common set up for me. All my members know that I talked to Shir even though She's a horse.

"Zandra, Jeremy! Let's head back home now!" I told them and we started moving our luggage, carriage and horses. This travel will take about 3 to 4 days before we arrive at the capital.

"Ry, you said that we will be having a banquet for the victory right?" Zandra asks me.

"Yes, Grand Chancellor Laskaris said that they will hold a banquet for as our victory party." This is what the Grand Chancellor said when they request for my presence on the chamber a month ago.

"HAHA! I am excited to drink lots of beers! Let's celebrate and get drunk!" Jeremy excitedly said while laughing loudly.

"HAHAHA! You sure will enjoy that day with the woman you brought." Zandra emphasizes the word girl.

"Ha! You also brought a man with you! I bet...." Jeremy cut his words in mid-sentence when he saw how Zandra glared at him.

"Pffttt. Serves you right Jeremy." I teasingly said while trying not to laugh.

"You should enjoy too Commander, you also have an eye for that guy, don't you?" Jeremy talked back.

"Yah! The commander wants to have a good night with a handsome man." Zandra second motion

"HAHAHAHA! Let's get the commander get drunk guys!" Jeremy and Zandra both shouted and the other knight's response. "YESSSSSSSSS!!!!" They all said. What a bunch of idiots.

"Let's not waste time and make haste." I command them to make it faster as much as they can.

After for a long hour, we decided to take some rest and stay for the night on the forest. Some of the nights fix the tent so we can sleep on it. I shared my tent with Zandra and the woman Jeremy has an eye. He pleaded that this woman stayed with us.

"Zandra I saw a lake not too far from this place, want to go wash up?" I ask her if she wants to accompany me and take a bath their together.

"Good idea, I want to freshen up a bit. Are we going to left this girl here? We should bring her with us, no?" She pointed the girl.

"You woman, what is your name again?" I ask the girl who looks scared.

"I-Ah- I-I a-am Leticia Sol Kinova, the 4th princess of the Oblaria Kingdom." She speaks while looking into me with fear.

"Then, Leticia come with us so you can take a bath as well. Do you have a spare cloth with you Zandra? My clothes might not fit to her." I told Zandra.

"I don't have extra clothes let's go to the medical team to borrow, they might have extra clothes." She suggested so we agreed. We walk towards to the tent of the medical team, together with Leticia.

The place is not far to my tent so we arrived immediately. I went in to the tent and called out Carol.

"Carol, do you have extra cloths that will fit to her?" They all look startled, since I speak out of nowhere.

"I think we have some spare cloth. We can lend you a cloth for change. Let me get it commander." She suddenly went to a pile of bag and rummage it to look for cloth. "Are you going to the lake to wash up Commander?" She asks me while still looking for some decent cloth.

"Yes we are Carol. Are you going to go there as well?" I ask in return.

"We are planning to go there too, but since you're going there. We will wash up later after you take your bath." She said to me and handed over the cloth to Leticia.

"Let's go all together. Commander will protect us. Right Commander? Pffffttt." Zandra starts with her non-sense jokes again.

"I see no problem with that." I confirm. "Let's all go now if you're ready." I said and walk out my way.

"See! Let's have some fun at the lake later!" Zandra spoke.

[Royal Capital of Escon]

We spent 3 days on the forest since we have lots of loads to carry. We don't want to exhaust the horses so we decided to stop by at night to camp and rest.

We are near the entrance of the Royal Capital. The knight who's tasked to give signal to the Capital Guards blew the horns as a sign that we have arrived.

"HNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKK... HNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKK... HNNNNNKKKKKKKKKKK..." The sound of the horn ringed loudly and it capture the guard's attention.

"The Fourth Knight Squad has returned! The Fourth Knight Squad has returned!" One of the Guards declare that's the caused why people started to gather on both side of the street giving us some space at the center.

"Glory to the Kingdom! Woooohhhhh!!!" People started cheering loudly. A happy face that greets us upon our arrival.

"Make way for the Fourth Squad! Welcome back Commander Ryder Zenobia." The guards give their respect to me. All the Guards that take duty on the entrance gate was all commoner like me.

"Long Live the Emperor! Glory to the Kingdom!" I said and raise my sword. The knights that are behind me repeated the words I have said, same with Jeremy and Zandra who are beside me.

"Long Live the Emperor! Glory to the Kingdom! Woooohhh.... Waaaaaahhhh!" The people copy what we have said and a loudly happy cheer roared on the whole capital entrance.

"Who are they? They look like a slave?" "Shhhhh. Don't speak like that." "Is that the war slave?" "They look all noble, a pretty and handsome slave." "Yeah, they will sell well off in a high price."

"Murmur... murmur... murmur... murmur... murmur..." They keep talking while looking to the group of people we brought from the fallen kingdom.
