CHAPTER 24: FIRST THING ON THE LIST

Alicia glanced at Jaden to see that he was already coming down so she opened her door too and came down, looking around like a curious child.

Actually, this wasn't Jaden's planned destination but sensing the unease in her,he decided to bring her here.

Alicia marched forward still accessing the building, she remembered she had only been to MacDonald's once in her life and that was back when she was in the 11th grade, one of her rich friends had decided to just take few of them there to celebrate her birthday, something Alicia's mum wasn't aware of till date.

Alicia and Jaden walked side by side until they got to the entrance where Jaden paved way for her to go in first.

As Alicia walked ahead of him,a perverted expression crawled it's way to Jaden's face,he found himself biting his Lower lip slowly, sensously as his eyes shamelessly accessed her.

Her womanly curves had been greatly accenated by a pair of short black baggy jeans that hung low on her hips, held in place by a loose belt that seemed to hint at the hidden treasure beneath, her top was cropped to perfection, drawing attention to her voluptuous bosoms that seemed to defy gravity with their perfect shape and allure.

Although Alicia was middle class, but she was a 10 when it came to dressing as she was quite liberal and classy in that aspect, this was all because of her elder sister Clara who was a model, and being a model meant she was entitled to so many clothes in which she couldn't wear alone and hence most of the time after they were being used for her shoot, she'd just ship them to her younger sister alongside with the ones that didn't fit her anymore.

Upon entrance, the place wasn't that crowded with people but they were directed to a table far from others,a more quiet and reserved area,it was a two long red fluffy couch facing each other with a glass table in between.

Alicia had her seat on the left before Jaden sat opposite her and the moment they were settled,a waiter approached them handling them the menu.

As Alicia accepted the menu, she was busy thinking if she should act prim and proper by declining first and then maybe if he insisted she would then agree but she was damn hungry especially since she had only tea and biscuits as breakfast this morning and besides this handsome potato right here didn't look like one who would insist or persuade her to have something,he might as just well shrug his shoulders if she refused and then she'd be doomed to hunger till she arrived back at the campus and made food for herself.

Having no choice, Alicia could only forget about courtesy at that moment and listen to her grumbling stomach, she opened the menu and picked the first thing on the list.

"I'll have the first dish here" she gently said to the waiter who after nodding turned towards Jaden who had just wiggled his brows in surprise.

"And what can I get fo..."

"One bottle of The Screaming Eagle Cabernet" Jaden sharply cut her off before closing the menu.

"Okay then" the waiter replied before she whisked away to go arrange their order.

Just as Alicia's eyes returned to Jaden, his phone rang and looking up at the caller ID, Alicia could swear that she saw him roll his eyes in utmost frustration before he excused himself to go answer the call. After he left, Alicia relaxed back on the soft couch taking in the cool breeze from the AC and the nice aroma from different dishes.

Few minutes later,Jaden returned and at that same moment, the waiter also returned with their order placing the expensive looking wine at Jaden's and the food by Alicia.

As soon as Alicia was served, she began scratching her nape feeling akward as she began to regret ordering food and not a snack, was she really going to eat in front of him?,she didn't know why though but she felt really shy, something which was so unusual of her. She had eaten twice with Ryan and she didn't feel any tension like she was feeling right now so why.

Her thoughts were interrupted with the sound of Poppin wine, she looked up to see Jaden already opening his wine with a soft expression plastered on his face after which he cooly poured some into his glass.

His movements were quite measured, graceful and precise like that of a king and Alicia couldn't help but admire him for that.

"So what's your name" he gently asked pulling her out of her thoughts before taking a sip out of his drink.

"Alicia Lawson" she meekly replied.

"Hmmm, fresher?"

"Yeah"

"Studying?"

"Theatre arts"

Jaden sighed before running his left hand through his hair as he twirled his glass, his eyes glued to it as though he were looking for something.

Alicia thought he was done speaking so she began. " I want to say thank you again for last night " she said in a greatful tone and a small jaw dropping smirk was quick to appear on Jaden's lips, one that left Alicia stunned for a moment.

"Don't thank me yet" he replied taking another sip from his drink. " Cause with this face and body of yours you're likely gonna get into much more bigger problems in the future than being chased" he said with a straight face that left Alicia flagerbasted.

Alicia was speechless, was he complementing her or what and even if he was,how could someone compliment a person with such a grave face.

Anyways Alicia picked up her spoon and began eating since she didn't know how to reply to such a comment.

Although Alicia was a slow eater but her stomach could devour a whole cake on it's own,she was such a foodie but the type of foodie who ate slowly but no matter how much the food was and no matter the time it took, Alicia was sure to finish it.

Alicia was in the fifth spoon when she noticed Jaden's gaze on her and her heart began to drum in her ears.

Alicia was one girl who was so used to boys staring at her all the time, infact all her life boys had always stared at her like this to the extent she grew immuned towards it and as far as she knew,no boy could give her a hard time just by staring at her like this basically because she had gotten used to it but there was something about this guy's gaze that made her feel so uncomfortable and conscious of herself at the same time.
