Chapter 5 - Untainted

Custos who is now able to stand up despite the damage that he sustained. Looking at the market stalls where he used to sell his crafts.

Looking around searching for someone, Custos begins to shout.

"Father!, father, its me Custos where are you?!"

Custos yelled looking for his father.

He searched for every nook and cranny of the now destroyed market where packs of people used to gather. Custos unknowingly walks closer and closer to the center of the battlefield.

"Readings! Power source reactivated! Showing host damage overlay. Condition critical awaiting for host to reinitiate space jump." The robotic voice said.

"Commence!" Said Hudrik painfully and hurriedly.

A shockwave suddenly traveled from where Hudrik was laying down as he commenced the space jump causing ripples in the air, sending powerful shockwave in return.

"Activate phase lock, now!" The woman commander said quickly after seeing Hudrik successful space jump. The phase lock rung loudly as it was not able to track the jump.

"Phase lock failure, phase lock failure!" A officer in the front panel in the airship said

"It seems he jumped to a coordinates with technologies that could block phase locks!"

Another officer said.

"Fucking shit if this phase lock that we acquired from them was not an old one we could've locate that fucker" another officer angrily said.

"And what will we do after we locate or know which continent it was from. Attack them?" A officer replied with distain.

While they were arguing about not being able to find the space jump coordinates a officer was locking at his screen and noticed a civilian approaching.

"There is a badly hurt civilian in the area of battle. I thought we evacuated them?!" The officer remarked.

The officers that were arguing turned into a stop as they looked at the monitor of the officer that reported.

"Send the Meds!" The commander who was silent a moment ago ordered.

Custos who was still searching for his father suddenly went into a full stop after spotting the dead bodies that covered the entire area. For some reason he did not find such thing disturbing. Its like he was very familiar with such environment, he wasn't bothered at all for a some reason.

Soon a couple of medics and enforcers ran towards Custos. Custos who was searching for his father suddenly seeing unfamiliar faces rushing towards him alerted him. Custos had seen land enforcers before but military enforcers usually only comes out if it affects the entire nation.

Understanding that there had been a great battle that happened that affected the entirety of the nation and other nations. This alerted Custos as he might get abducted and imprisoned forever for they will question him if he knows anything regarding to what happened. This is what his father told him about the military enforcers that they were cruel if it is connected the nations safety and privacy to enemy intel.

For some reason Custos fix his footing and center the gravity of his body making his posture look like a man about to enter a battle. For some reason Custos felt something was missing from his hands like a weapon he longed missed. He found it fascinatingly weird to face them instead of turning around to run away.

The incoming enforcers and medics felt Custos imposing and heavy death aura only for a second but what they felt was something beyond. Like death was staring at their very existence waiting to extinguish the life off of them. It was pure cold.

The enforcers and a few supes at the larger airships specially the commander notice this.

"A untainted one!. Is he a new super or was he hiding from the government?" They all had the same thought.

The supes jumped off from the airships only to suspend before hitting the ground.

The commander was alarmed by such unruly action that the supes have committed.

"What are you doing call them back! This is a military order, now!" The woman said.

"Please return back to your airships the commander issued it as a military order!" The officer relayed the message through the comms.

"What military order, fuck that we just want to see at this new one, after all its been a while to finally meet a fellow super in this untalented nation of ours." Said the female super.

"Jane, respect the commander. She has a higher military rank than you are!." Said the male super named Jan.

"Shut up, Jan. Im a super and shes not" Jane replied bashfully.

The other supes just ignored the two as they continue to stroll towards Custos.
