Chapter 82: Regular Saturday night or maybe not

Bai Yi Yang goes inside after sending Designer Ru Qing out to the gate. Bai Yi Yang then returned to the kitchen, Bai Yi Chen already finished seaming and now removing the hot water from the stove into the sinks.

"YangYang.." Bai Yi Chen said.

"En.." Bai Yi Yang open the fridge. The dumplings and wonton is only partially frozen so she let them stay inside longer.

Bai Yi Yang then saw the shrimp head and skin on the side, does she have to make shrimp stock again? Well, it was better than throwing it away just like that. She then start making it as she talk with Bai Yi Chen.

"Head Village Li found 12 people. He came with 3 other people this morning and I show them the way. When they saw the orchard, they are confident that they can finish them in 2 days and even clean up the road." Bai Yi Chen said. This is because of the salary that Bai Yi Yang has set, 280 yuan per day is a lot for the villagers, that's why they wanted to do more work so that the payment is worth it.

Bai Yi Chen understand Bai Yi Yang working style now, so he is also very fast when he hand over the boards to her on the platform.One finish then they move to another until the last one is done too.

They finished before 3.00 pm and transfer the mushrooms on top. Only 3 platform are filled, the other one is empty.

After that, Bai Yi Yang continue to make planks and boards from the remaining tree logs from yesterday. Bai Yi Chen lift the finished product under the platform and arrange it neatly. He placed a short plank underneath so that the wood won't directly touch the ground.

Bai Yi Yang works very fast, by 5.00 pm, she finished processing all the logs and now gathering all the branches in one area. The old one is dried so should be okay if she burn them now.

'It's dangerous..' Bai Yi Yang remind TongTong.

After watching the fire until it become small, they all come inside the house. Bai Yi Yang then head straight to the kitchen to cook, she is making garlic herb butter roasted whole chicken.

The process is similar, she marinated it with combination of different type of oils, seasoning and also herbs and garlic. After that she stuffed the chicken with lemon, whole garlic and also dried herbs, since she don't have fresh one. Then pop it into a preheated oven.

Next is she wash the bean sprout, she is making stir fry bean sprout. Then she sliced some bamboo shoots to make braised bamboo shoots. She also cook the rice today since she is not in rush, the chicken need to be cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes. She took a seat and played with her phone while waiting. Bai Yi Ling enter not long after that.

"Xiao Ling..come sit, I already cook the rice."Bai Yi Yang smile. Bai Yi Ling sit down on her seat.

"How was the class did you like it?" She ask.

"En. I first enter the general class, most are younger than me. We learn a lot of simple words that we learned back in Grade 3, Miss Priscilla was the one who taught us. During the break, we had some cookies and box juice then Miss Susan call me into the office, she told me to read a few texts and told me to explain. They are not hard, it is nothing compared to what I have read before. So Miss Susan said that I will enter the advance class starting next week." Bai Yi Ling said.

"Really? Well done. How many student are in the advance class?" She asked again.

"My friend Ning Ning said that there are 4 people, 5 including me." Bai Yi Ling said.

"That little? Then your friend Ning Ning is which class?"

"She is in the intermediate class. A few people from school is in the general and intermediate class. The advance class is upstairs, their teacher is Miss Susan and Miss Wilda. Miss Wilda looks very kind but Miss Susan is a bit scary." Bai Yi Ling said. Miss Susan my look friendly at first, but she heard from the other that she is a bit scary when teaching students.

"Yes, there is Justin and Jason, they are siblings. Then two girls which is Wan LuLu and Cece." She said.

"Cece is Ning Ning's cousin, so we ate together during break. She even praise that my clothes looks nice, we promise to wear pink next week." Bai Yi Ling said smiling.

Bai Yi Yang also smile. She is glad that Bai Yi Ling is making friend at school. She doesn't want her to grow up cold and not liking other people. When the two small one join them chatting, they are also jealous that Bai Yi Ling get to meet her friend while their friends mostly start school on Monday.

"Be good at Grandma Zhou house, just eat what they give you, understand?" Bai Yi Yang said. She remember how her younger siblings complained about Zhou Zhu Yao's cooking.

"En.." The two reluctantly agree. Just when they are talking, Bai Yi Chen suddenly called Bai Yi Yang outside, he is holding his smartphone. Bai Yi Yang tell her siblings to stay in the kitchen and don't disturb them.

"What is it ge?" She ask. Bai Yi Chen is covering the microphone of her phone.

"Its our eldest paternal aunt from the Bai's second branch. She called because we are not in the first branch register anymore." Bai Yi Chen said. There is still a bit sadness in his eyes anymore, its just that there are more disappointment.

"En, I will talk to her." Bai Yi Yang said, she took the phone from Bai Yi Chen and pat his shoulder lightly.

"Hello eldest aunt, this is Yi Yang." Bai Yi Yang answer the phone.

"Oh its Yi Yang. "I know. But what kind of elders agree to that, you all are their blood relatives. If 3rd brother and 3rd sister-in-law see this, don't know how heartbroken they will be.." Bai Yu Jing said with a sigh.

"This is the best. We had enough of their insult just because they don't want to take responsibility on us siblings. Eldest aunt, just so you know, we siblings are doing well here, we can support ourself. "How about this, the school will ends early on Friday right, we husband and wife can spare some time and go to City Nan, we will settle the adoption process into our family. I already discussed this with my younger sister, she also find the 1st branch ridiculous and doesn't mind having additional five younger siblings. The age difference may be big but that won't be a problem." Bai Yu Jing said.

"Then we can do that. We siblings will meet your there eldest aunt." Bai Yi Yang said.

"What eldest aunt..you call me da jiejie bah." Bai Yu Jing chuckled.

"Yes da jiejie." Bai Yi Yang also laugh softly. Just like that, the arrangement was done, now they are officially not under the trashy 1st branch anymore. Bai Yi Yang returns the phone to Bai Yi Chen after saying a few more words to Bai Yu Jing.

"This is the best. We only have ourselves to relied on now. Gege, I am tired of having that kind of family." Bai Yi Yang said.

"I know. I am tired to. Everything is fine now." Bai Yi Chen nod and smile.

After taking a few breaths, they returned to the kitchen. Bai Yi Yang proceed with making braised bamboo shoots and stir fry bean sprout. After resting the roasted chicken, they start their meal.

A merry dinner than passed as usual, as if nothing big had happened. It's just that, that night when Bai Yi Yang was half awake, she heard her two younger sisters talking, well it was actually Bai Yi Ling who talk to Bai Yi Fang first.

"I am so happy today. There is so many things that makes me happy, but most of all is that we finally escape from that damned family. We can finally rest assured, nobody is going to hit us again." Bai Yi Ling words sounds like that, there really is real happiness in her voice. No wonder she was different these days, she must have heard their conversation from a few days ago right.

"Then I am happy too." Bai Yi Fang said cheerfully.

"I can never rest assured before, but now I can. Fang Fang, if they dare to hit any of us again, I am going to hit them back until they have bruises too." Bai Yi Ling add.

"Hurt..it's hurt..I don't like being hit." Bai Yi Fang said, as if she can remember everything. Her voice sounds very pitiful when she said this.

"No more hurting, jiejie and gege will protect us now. We also have Oreo and Cookie, yeah right..TongTong too.." Bai Yi Ling hug her little sister as she comforted her with some sweet words and promise her a lot of her own snacks.

Bai Yi Yang who heard all of it is also cry silently. She move closer and pull both of them into her embrace tightly.

"Okey sleep now, we may wake up jiejie." Bai Yi Ling whisper to Bai Yi Fang.

"En." Bai Yi Fang hummed and close her eyes.

Bai Yi Yang tears stop after a long time, even when her two sisters already fall asleep in her embrace, she cannot stop crying. She can't imagine how the siblings live before. Maybe, the real reason of her coming to this world is so that they can finally be there for each other, she also suffered in the other world and these siblings obviously suffered a lot too. She silently swear to take care of her siblings and never let them suffer again. Only after that did she finally fall into a deep sleep.
