Chapter 31: The house is upgraded

Bai Yi Yang works until she has finished the 5th tier, she planned to add two more tiers later when Bai Yi Ling got more plant in the future, she can add more tiers to it. Just now, she started early so now is only near 3.00 pm.

Bai Yi Ling was full of praise for her sister's woodworking skill with unique and sturdy design. Even the garden in the school doesn't have this beautiful flower stand. She cannot wait to arrange her plants on it.

"Yatou, can you spare a moment?" Uncle Duan came approach the two girls.

Bai Yi Yang turned off the drill and put it aside.

"Yes Uncle Duan. Did you finish already?" Bai Yi Yang said, she took the towel from Bai Yi Ling and wipe the sweat on her face.

"Yes. My part has been finished, we were only testing everything now. Let me show you around, see if you are satisfied." Uncle Duan said.

"En.." Bai Yi Yang followed him to the kitchen first, the position was adjusted but the sink is still not installed, Uncle Duan has made a deal with Zhang Yong, Zhang Yong will install it later. Then they head to the laundry room, there is a pipe head that can be connected to the washing machine later and also a hole for the washing machine drainage hose. Then in the bath room, a beautiful wash basin has been installed, and also a simple shower head.

The toilet also looks like brand new, new wash basin, new toilet bowl. The flushing is also smooth, unlike the previous one. There is a pipe head in the toilet since Bai Yi Yang requested it, they can connect it with hose to water the plants in the courtyard for now. Later when the courtyard is repaired, she will ask Uncle Duan service to install an outdoor pipe again, and maybe sprinkler in their farm.

It was the same with the toilet/bathroom in the main house, it was like a brand new toilet. It wasn't a bad one to begin with, it's just that it was questionable and she doesn't dare to use it before. Now, this place is exclusively theirs.

"I am satisfied with all of these, the work is meticulous and neat." Bai Yi Yang said. They even clean the area after they finished working, how can she not be satisfied?

"Good, good." Uncle Duan laugh. Bai Yi Yang bring Uncle Duan to the kitchen to settle the account. She only need to pay the labour fee now.

These two days, Uncle Duan has been working with another worker, each hour is 50 yuan for 1 worker. The working hours total is 8 hours, so the total is 800 yuan.

Bai Yi Yang immediately pay for the labour fee and settle the account.

"Your uncle Lu will also be done by today, his account, he will settle it with you." Uncle Duan add.

"Alright." Bai Yi Yang answer.

"These two days, this old man has seen a lot while working with you. In the future, I still want to work with you again." Uncle Duan said.

"I should be the lucky one to have met Uncle Duan." Bai Yi Yang said. Bai Yi Yang stood up, like when Boss Sun came this morning, she also prepared two portions of various dried mushrooms. Then she also pack some fresh mushrooms for Uncle Duan and the other plumbing worker.

"These are little things that we have for you and the other uncle,Uncle Duan please accept it." Bai Yi Yang hand over the two big plastic bags. Uncle Duan look inside and he was amazed. Actually, he heard all the conversation between Boss Sun and Bai Yi Yang this morning, the price of these mushrooms is not cheap but this girl is giving them this much.

"Aren't this too much?" Uncle Duan said.

"No. Uncle, you helped me decide on a lot of things, then also give discounts. How can this thing compare, in the future I may need Uncle help again." Bai Yi Yang smiles. Uncle Duan nod.

"Then, I will accept this happily. Lao Wu, see what good things this yatou gave us." He called the other worker who is waiting outside. Seeing the content of the plastic, the other uncle also said his thanks to Bai Yi Yang.

Uncle Duan didn't stay long, they also had pack up their tools earlier on so they can leave anytime. Bai Yi Yang didn't send him out to the gate. They only said goodbye then exchange contact number for future use.

"Uncle Duan has finished repairing the toilet?" Bai Yi Ling asked.

"En. Finally we can take a bath later." Bai Yi Yang laugh. After that she focused once more with finishing the plants stand.

"Come, I will teach you how to paint this. You wear a glove first." Bai Yi Yang called Bai Yi Ling over after she finished.

While waiting, she tested the sturdiness of the plant stand, even if she sat on it, it is still very stable.

Bai Yi Yang demonstrate on how to paint the plant stand on time and Bai Yi Ling immediately understand. Seeing that she is very focused on doing the coating job, Bai Yi Yang let her do it and return to the workshop.

Now she start sketching on the washing machine and dryer rack, this design is made so that the washing machine can be placed below while the dryer is placed on the rack. She need to make this very sturdy, it must be something that can withstand heavy load. Both the machine and dryer is not that heavy but she wanted this to last long so she choose the thick planks to be assembled as the base. She picture the washing machine and dryer design so that the shelf she made won't interfere with its function and features.

After finalising her simple design, she repeat the same process of marking and cutting then sanding the wood surface. Since the washer/dryer rack is not that big, she made it in the workshop. This time, Bai Yi Yang payed more attention on the sturdiness, she use big screw to assemble the rack and tested each one of them after assembling two pieces together. After repeating the process a few time, she finished it by 4.30 pm without taking a rest.

She look at the successful product happily. She found out that the hard part is smoothing the surface. When she start making bigger things in the future, she really need this machine. It saves a lot more time and energy, she decided to buy one later. Then she also need jigsaw to cut curved lines. Paints too.

She brought some primer, wood coating the other days but seems like it won't be enough for her project, she need more varieties and much more in quantity if she planned to make every furniture herself.

As for this washer/dryer rack, she planned to paint it white later so she also need to buy it too.

Thinking about all these things that she need to buy to make furniture, she almost think that it is better to just buy it. But when she remember that she has an excellent skill and enough strength, the mountain has free resources of good woods, what more if she buy things, then she need to spend a lot because there are 5 rooms to be filled, big living rooms and kitchen.

What more, their money can only buy the medium quality at best, it is better to trust the skills that she currently have.

Take the plant stand as example, if she want a good quality one and as sturdy as the one she built, then it will cost hundreds or thousands of yuan. Something that she spends only a few hours to make, it is much more stable too.

Anyway, she will just buy all these things, it's not like she is going to throw it away after using it. It will be much more better building it by herself.

She feels determined and went to design shoe racks, each for each houses, she doesn't like the look of their shoes and slipper laying on the stone step in front of the houses. It will be neater to have a shoe rack.

She can't finished this today so she just cut the wood into parts then leave the workshop. She went to see Bai Yi Ling painting carefully.

Well, her effort is payed off because it looks very neat and the wood colour become much more clear.

"You did well." Bai Yi Yang comment.

"Jie, I am worried if it may suddenly rain before it dries off. See, the cloud is a bit dense." Bai Yi Ling said. It is passed 5 pm and the paint won't dry much during the night.

Bai Yi Yang knows that it won't rain at least tonight. But seems like since she came here it hasn't rain even one time. Bai Yi Yang activate her skills and sense that there will be heavy rain tomorrow evening, it will be very hot in the morning but towards the evening it will start raining until night.

"It won't rain today, tomorrow evening it will rain heavily. The paint will dries off before it rains." Bai Yi Yang said, comforting the worried child. Uncle Lu who just came out of the kitchen heard this and smiled at their exchange.

"Yatou.." Uncle Lu called.

"Uncle Lu, you are done?" Bai Yi Chen asked. She saw them testing the light just now and it was really much more brighter than before.

"Yes. Let's check it." Uncle Lu work principle is the same as Uncle Duan, they want the customer to be satisfied.

They made a tour around the house, check the lamps, fans, and number of sockets.Bai Yi Yang was very satisfied. The house really is upgraded to another level after these repairs and additional things.

"Yesterday, the working hours is 3 hours for three people, today the working hours is counted as 7 hours for 2 people. Then the total labour fee will be 1,150 yuan." Uncle Lu show her the calculations.

After finishing the transaction, Bai Yi Yang send him out to the gate with three bags of dried mushrooms. There is even one for the worker yesterday.

"You are too kind. We are just doing our job." Uncle Lu said, but she didn't reject gifts, this is the Bai siblings goodwill.

Bai Yi Yang send them out then went to watch the worker still working to install the roof tiles, they wanted to at least finish the East house first before stopping, it was almost 6 pm and they are still working, making Bai Yi Yang feels grateful to these workers.

She went inside and prepare three portion of dried and fresh mushrooms for them. Bai Yi Chen is closer to these workers so Bai Yi Yang asked him to give it to them when he send them out later while she go into the Main house to sweep the floor. Even though Uncle Lu and his worker has already clean up, she still feels that it is better to clean up again lightly.

Bai Yi Yang chat with the system and saw that that her points has increased by 12 points, at a total of 63 points.

'Still halfway from obtaining you skin. System you be patient oh..' Bai Yi Yang said.

The system mumbled with its robotic tone in low voice, saying it doesn't need it ah, the system is fine ah. Bai Yi Yang laugh, the system is just being shy right.
